- We love trying new airports so on a recent trip to Chicago, we tried Chicago Midway International airport which is slightly less crowded, closer to the city, and more accessible to walk gate to gate. Join us on a short tour of the airport and decide if you will pick Midway over O’Hare

Great walkthrough. I will be doing a stop over at KMDW for the first time next month. And FYI, the plane is not a P-51 Mustang. It is as Douglas SBD Dauntless. A carrier based dive bomber.
I am from the Chicago area, and I have never flown Midway. Maybe we will fly Midway next year when we goto New York.
Oh, Harry was an announcer for the White Sox and then started to announce for the Cubs. He is known for singing "Take me out to the ball game" during the 7th inning. 😊
We always enjoy the “smaller” airports and Midway was certainly a nice change from the main airport. Thank you for that extra context on Harry! That’s pretty cool.
Great review! My favorite breakfast spot is Einstein bagel in A terminal but they do very crowded!!

Midway seems like the sister to Dallas Love Field. Which isn’t a bad thing!
Should be called Southwest airport...we fly in from Richmond (Southwest of course) 3-4 times a year...very smooth and efficient...Both Southwest and Midway! A perfect fit!!

As a ⬇️ sider, I absolutely HATE O’Hare, Midway is not only closer to my 🏠🏡 but is also closer to Downtown & the lines r almost if not always shorter, I just wish that there were more flights & restaurants/shops
Crowded, old and dingy. I was there a few days ago and there were probably a dozen women lined up to use the bathroom by the Southwest gates. The less time spent there the better.
It should be renamed SOUTHWEST AIRLINES Airport. Southwest dominates over 90% of the gates.

Midway Airport is a WASTE OF TIME unless you love Southwest Airlines. One GREEDY airline shouldn't monopolize an ENTIRE airport.

We were very lucky to have found a very cheap flight from Chicago to Philadelphia through Midway, that really helped us in our itinerary.
Midway is not better than O’Hare because it does not offer easy access to major highways. The runways are too short and very few airlines use Midway.

Midway is superior to Ohare in so many ways! It’s closer to downtown, easier walk to CTA, and it’s much easier to navigate.

Midway offers easy access to numerous surface streets; if there is traffic in one place there is always an easy alternate. Can't say the same for O'Hare and it's constantly plugged I-190 access highway.

The problem is Midway does not offer nearly as many flight options as O’Hare does. This is why I usually use O’Hare.
It's seriously NOT a major INTERNATIONAL airport. Two airlines travel internationally from Midway, That name change was all for hype.

If you like SOUTHWEST AIRLINES; it's great; otherwise it's WORTHLESS

By far midway way better than that trash ohare airport
We love all airports but have recently really started to appreciate smaller airports like Midway, Islip, West Palm Beach etc
@KhizEesa ok but ohare for me is to far north plus it would take me an extra 3 hours because of all the construction on I 294 plus midway will let non flyers into the building at baggage claim to meet there people they are picking up no security check point just walk in but at ohare they make you sit In a gravel parking lot and get phone call and then drive 1 mile to airport to pickup on curb and if no room on curb they make you go around and do it again if you have a chance south bend in has an airport real small like midway you can meet people inside to
