- Finally got the flight Sim Pit tour done. This has been highly requested over the years. I managed to get it under 60minutes somehow. Enjoy!
I did not get into price/cost because I've honestly lost track of that over time. But If buidling one of these much more planned out today, think at least $5K USD for the simulator, not including the PC. But over time of course it feels much cheaper! :)
It always impresses me when people build their own cockpits for simulator games... there are so many types of simulator games to have different ideas... Trucks, Trains, Planes, and even buses... I hope you have a great time! Thank you for the tour! Subbed!
so cool, love the modular design for future changes/add-ons. Well done buddy!
Great video!!
Brings back old memories!! (1980s Attari flight. Sim ..)
Thank you for showing...
🐦
This was awesome brother man
Nice sim, and a great idea, but I could only watch a till 7:25. Your camera then swings all over the place, its dizzying, and doesn't really show much. Advice from a photographer - slow your camera down, you'll show much more.
Great setup. Suggestion. When videoing try not to shake the camera about so much. It makes people dizzy.
Fantastic build. You must have some very immersive flights in there!
Indeed my friend!
16:53. Come on Brunner….give this guy a yoke for such a good job building this!
Tell them! Although I now do have an Mk II since this video. I need to make an update.
Beautiful simpit. Great craftsmanship and work, keep going. I think you should put the Annunciators above your flight path screen that's in front of your yoke.
Not a bad idea on the annunciators location! I still have not implemented them yet so I appreciate the suggestion! Next update will show a better design center panel with realistic GTN750 placement.
Awesome detailed explanation. I couldn't help but subscribe!
Thanks my friend!
Hello thanks for all information abut your beautiful sim . I live in canada and I am 62 years old l like to build 172 cockpit but I don’t have any information abut how I have to start to fly and use the sim. I think there is some people like me. Do you have any more information about learning to fly with sim? Thanks for all help and your time.
Hi. Yes sure have plenty of info. What are you most interested in? Building a SimPit or learning to fly?
Love it bro ❤❤❤✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
sim racer here, just started looking at flight rigs , I thought sim racing was expensive but this looks mega expensive
🤣 you are not wrong!
Looking Good Amir
Wow, I love your cabin friend, I plan to build one! I really use VR but I like this better!!! Congratulations and continue to enjoy it Blessings!
Thank you my friend! it’s not the same with VR. I have a headset too but it will never replace the Sim Pit! Definitely build one!
@@AmirMpiana I imagine that it is much better, because I am not very good at assembling things but I can learn, I also believe that they sell the assembled panel, I was investigating and the only thing that would remain is to buy a couple of large screens like you, although I have a large monitor !!!
I would like you to give me ideas when you can because I am really interested friend! Thanks for the advice!
Blessings
@@AmirMpiana Thanks for the advice, I have the budget to buy it, what do you recommend my friend? buy the panel set assembled in flight velocity oh what do you suggest???
@@juanreyes2556you can definitely buy a pre assembled one for sure. I wouldn’t myself because I can build one. but just know what to expect from the one you buy is what I’d say.
@@AmirMpiana Greetings Amir, Well actually I already bought it thank God, I bought it from the Flight Velocity company, I'm still putting it together: D because you always have to make adjustments but I'm going little by little!
Appropriate, I would also like to make one, and after buying the avionics I realize that I can make a panel, I don't see how complicated it is!
Thanks for answering
What software is giving you the g1000 functionality? I really want my sim to be a 182 and i have currently realsimgear g1000s which work fine in msfs2020 with its 172 or the carenado 182, i can also of course use it in x-plane with default 172 or carenado 182….but I think A2A 182 in P3D is so nice a flight model I am tempted to go back to it (maybe on p3dv6 now that it is out…but not sure how to change it to g1000
I explain it in the video. the g1000 is from simionic and is running on an ipad sitting inside a bluetooth bezel. it’s somewhere around minute 11:40 of the video. unlike the realsimgear units, simionic doesn’t rely on undocking the g1000 from the virtual cockpit. you can use it with any aircraft because all its doing is reading simconnect data and sending to the ipad app, which runs independently from the aircraft you are flying. take a look at the whole video. all the details are there! 🙂
@@AmirMpiana i watched the whole video BEFORE I asked the question and yes I understood it was a Simionic panel but your video doe not explain the software running the panel. Is that also Simionic’s software? I guess I have to look it up as I am not familiar with it. Or is it some other g1000 software like Mindstar? I guess my question wasn’t clear.
@@XOrionFE Yes everything is from simionic. lookup Simionic g1000 and checkout their website. the software is an ipad app you get from the app store and the bezel you order from their website. you can down the app and listening pc software right away. you don’t need the bezel to use the app. it just completes the unit.
Hi there, Congrats for the great job you managed to achieve ! and thanks a lot for the content, really appraciated.
How do you manage so well the multimonitors thing in MSFS ? I've heard it's a real hasssle...
I don't understand why you angled your front screen, can you be more specific ?
This is P3D v5 and not MSFS. Yes it’s not quite possible to have these exact views setup in MSFS. Front TV is angled to provide a better perspective when inside the cockpit and allows me to align the views a bit better.
@@AmirMpiana Thanks a lot for the answer ! ;)
Great work, tnx for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Great video!! Where did you find your G1000 bezel for the ipad?
it’s the Simionic G1000
Great Video. Can you provide a link to where you purchased the Audio Panel and GTX345? You mentions SimParts Universal. But I can no location such a company. Thanks
look up simparts universal on Facebook and PM Richard Hulme. he has no website
How big was your front tv? Did I miss the size? great set up btw hoping to have similar soon
got it !
@@livelandings747 front TV is 55inch 4K
So... what happens when you outgrow g1000 and/or this flight deck/aircraft?
Thank You So Much For The Tour. You’ve Built An Incredible Sim. I Sure Wish I Had Your Skill And Knowledge. The Modular Design is Great. Thank You Again.
This setup is pretty sick! I definitely think the usage of those logitech devices is super smart considering the pricing on them is not terrible
Yep. especially if you can get some nice used ones. there’s always some for sale out there as people retire them. I think I only got one brand new. test are all used off ebay.
lovely 🧡
very clever
Beautiful Sim keep up the good work
That is a very nice simulator and I can see that you have invested a lot of time, effort and pride into it. Using real aircraft parts when able is always a great idea for realism down to the smell of an old airplain.
Just brilliant . you can start a business doing this. Do you do real world flying?
Looks great mate. We think alike in our sims !
Thank you for tne wonderful tour of your very cool system.
I very much appreciate how easily you could take it apart if you need to - very nice.
thanks for liking it. Making everything modular and easily movable was always the goal.
that PC is immaculate
Thank you!
3 questions. 1) What motherboard? 2) What is that LCD display inside your case? Never seen anything like that before. 3) Is it water-cooled?
EDIT: Besides my questions, I should have mentioned...that setup is freaking AWESOME!
awesome setup
glad you like it!
Very nice sim pit! I enjoyed the in depth show and tell! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching and enjoying!
This is so awesome!! I’ve always wondered how to build one and this video does a great job explaining it.
thanks my friend! glad you found it useful.
Impressive setup. I havent tried P3D personally, but it seems to do the job. MSFS doesnt seem well suited for home cockpits, as there is not enough control of the views.
👍 well done. I usually prefer Space Pew Pew for my own sim but sometimes I feel like crashing a Cessna here or there too 😅
😅😅😅 the goal is to crash gently…also called landing.
@@AmirMpiana ye, I'm just not good enough at this 😁
Hi. Congrats for your determination and skills to build such a cockpit. I have one question that’s been on my mind for years when I watch these home cockpit videos. you have to zoom in the view to get rid of the virtual cockpit on your front screen don’t you? Doesn’t that change the realism of the view? Or maybe you just block the bottom of the tv screen with your dash and instruments and then you keep the normal pilot camera view in the sim?
In P3Dv5 you can zoom and move the virtual cockpit eyepoint on each view separately. So for the front front screen, I move the eyepoint right up to the window and set zoom only one level from 50 to 60. And the dash does block the bottom of the TV to hide the VC glareshield. But No changes to realism with zoom. In Xplane you have to edit the aircraft 3d model to get this view setup. In MSFS you can’t get this view setup because there’s no separate eyepoint and zoom.
@@AmirMpiana Knowing a cessan door window in only 8 inches tall is there a reason you think why people build a sim cockpit with 35in side monitors?
@@Marcperron007 for me it’s just about better visibility. I can’t lower my head in the sim to see through the small cessna window so I just impose it on a bigger screen and zoom on the window.
Great set up, slow down whilst panning the video as nobody can get chance to look at it properly
Looks great
Such a cool flight simulator! I wish I had the time and energy to build one of these! How long did it take to build?
Thank you! A few years! 😅
This is the best setup I’ve seen. Great job! 👏🏾
Thank you!
This is amazing 😍😍
Can you please tell me where to get the avion part I just start a flight school something like that will help alot
Very nice! :)
Lets go! Yala
No way that sim is like 5k its more like 7k.. my sim was 5k and i didnt get the g1000 screens
you’re probably right! I lost track of costs long ago. but at least no less than $5k.
@@AmirMpiana Nice to be mzungu! Haha 😂
Beautiful cockpit simulator!
thank you!
Great sim. Do you have the specs?
Would you have the specs on the cockpit shell?
Interested in how you mounted the side monitors
Any help?
Good video. Where did you by the transponder?
Awesome sim!
What airport is this?
IS2 Darington Municipal in PNW
Yikes should work together. Stay in the middle of the runway.
😂😂 I tried!
Slow down the camera. It's too fast, giving me headaches.
Sorry bud. just tried to get through everything in reasonable time. try to play @ 0.75 speed?
I would've watched the whole video but the camera movements are making me feel nauseated. Put it on a tripod or, at the very least, slow down - it's very difficult to look at anything you're trying to show when you're moving the camera around so fast that everything is a blur.
I agree. I only made it about 10 minutes. Too bad, really. It looks like a thoughtful project well executed. I just couldn’t learn anything with the camera moving so fast.
Yall sensetive
poor guy...
why???
@@AmirMpiana you has no parachute... someday.. someday...
