I love my foot hammock. I’ve used it for about 4-5 years now. I’m 5 ft tall. My legs hardly touch the ground, at least not comfortably. It’s a game changer to take pressure off your knees.

I was in a deep sleep and I yelled out, “Stop pulling my seat!” I didn’t mean to it was just a natural reaction from yanking my seat. At one point I don’t know if she didn’t remove her feet from the hammock or if the tray table slipped, but the tray table opened up and slammed down. I was freaking livid!!! One thing that irks my nerves are people that act like other people don’t exist in this world. I don’t even recline my seat because the little bit of comfort I get means the person behind me is even more uncomfortable. In the rare cases that I lean back, I look behind me first and I ask the person behind me if it would be an inconvenience. Even when I’m on the window, I will ask my seat neighbors if they prefer up or down.
@@lubamordkovich4077 they don't even know it's there. It literally just gives you a spot to rest your feet. You're not pushing and pulling on it and it's sits right down in between the seat and the tray "legs" so there's not even much leverage to be able to disturb the person in front of you.

Please be careful about promoting the leg hammock. I am a flight attendant and it is against policy to use a device that you attach to the aircraft. Since you have to attach it to the tray table, it could damage it as it is not built for that type of use. I know you said you’ve been using it for years but I know that this policy was recently added at my airline within the last year or so.

@ as long as it doesn’t impede on the person behind you. Honestly, it all depends on the airline you travel on. I know my airline would consider your pillow a travel accessory and many travel accessories are not allowed.
I suppose I'll be the annoying one arguing pas de nullite sans grief (basically, nothing wrong without a grievance), considering the policy probably exists to avoid damage to the tray, and I assume responsibility over damages for whatever I do, policy or not. Else, I'll be happy to talk about the disregard to basic orthopaedic wellbeing in those same aircraft, and demand some compensation for the intentional, greedy neglect, damage or not.

I have used the foot hammock, but I have also used a long, thin scarf that I knotted into a loop. Packs smaller if that is a consideration. I usually just use my personal item bag in front of me though.
I live in a developing country. Flying is an adventure, and not the good kind. If you manage to get on the plane because they haven’t forgotten to register your ticket, it leaves on the correct day, and arrives without mechanical dramas it’s a win! Used to quite enjoy flying. Now hate it!

I purchased the neck/ eye pillow some months ago and I used it recently on my trip to Portugal. I love it because it hold the weights of my head. My seat mate asked me about it. I have to figure out the feet hammock. I enjoy placing my feet on the floor.
Word of warning - those Vicks Vapo inhalers are not allowed on ANA or JAL flights (or any flight into Japan for that matter) Read the Japan import rules carefully, they are VERY strict with over the counter meds. Otherwise great list, and I'm going to try that headband/eye mask thing on my next long haul flight.
I definitely agree with the pant/bottoms optiond but like wearing black joggers on my flights instead of snug leggings in case I start getting or feeling stomach bloating.
I agree that you must have eye mask as people sometimes want window shade open and have to have those noise canceling headphones! With the foot hammock though, it seems to me you can't have a personal item ( like a backpack) under the seat in front of you as there would be no room for your feet to be on the hammock. I bring a small carryon with things that will get me through three days as every time I have checked a bag for Costa Rica it has been delayed. If you are going point to point you should be okay, but for me there are at least two transfers. If you are going to multiple locations your bag may not catch up to you. The address system in Costa Rica can be interesting. I stay with family and their address is described as a certain number of meters from a set of coordinates. You may want to check that out ahead of time.

For stinky passengers, I bring the little tiny perfume spray samples and a lightweight scarf. I spray a little on the scarf, put it on my shoulders and I have pleasant air surrounding my face.
I have one of the foot hammock, however if the plane is one of the those budget airlines that has no space in between the seats, it’s actually nearly impossible to use them… I flew on a Sunwing flight where this happen. just an FYI

you said they did not turn the fans on in the plane till take off, this is why you need a person fan that goes around the neck or a personal air conditioner. wife uses this alot at the times you mentioned when no fan is on yet in plane
NOTE the vicks vapo inhaler, need to research as i know in Japan it is very illegal and they consider it a dug stimulant. we use one sometimes for clearing noses for using CPAP device and so we had to bring the rub is the small container TSA friendly in checked luggage
I always have one checked bag when I fly for bulky items or things not allowed in my carry-on bag and personal item. I personally don't ever use eye masks, but ear plugs and noise canceling headphones are a must for me. Going through the security lines the only thing in my pockets or on me (besides clothes) is my wallet. I have everything in my carry-on bag and personal itemlii get through security lines pretty fast unless there are long lines.
For $3 more buy the fan (from the same brand, looks the same) with a battery double the size and the bigger fan blades! I love the fan but the 4500mah version is soooooooo much better. Instead of 13-19 hours, it goes for 48 hours. and as it's a backup power bank, you get more bang for your buck.

I don’t get the foot rest thing. It only elevates your feet a few inches, when your feet really should be higher for better circulation. I bought the over ear phones, but I’ve concluded they take up too much room in my personal bag and they kind of bug me being over my head.

Emergency exit rows often don't recline, so beware on longer flights.

Custom silicone earplugs from a hearing company are the best.
One, two and three for me are Zolpidem. Four is ear plugs. Five, Zolpidem and I am good to go.

Some budget airlines are limiting it to one carryon bag less thsn 7 kg. All that gear would make it impossible to fly with only a 7 kg carry on.

I do hope you spray before getting on the plane since the perfume also affects others. Sinus or allergic reactions are worst that a BO traveller.
A few drops of lavendar oil on your scarves before boarding helps as well. And its not as concentrated to affect the enclosed cabin.
Perfume can be toxic to many. Please do not use on airplanes.
I beg of you not to wear or spray fragrance on planes. It’s unbearable for everyone else.
As someone who can get migraine from perfume and strong sense - please don’t use products until your off the plane

my husband is 6'9 so I know it's a challenge for tall travelers! He does most of the stuff I do though, except the foot hammock

Bulkhead seats in economy are also where they put parents with babies and toddlers. I would rather fly in the baggage hold.
