Another drying tip, this has helped me because after washing my hair I FREEZE once out of the shower, is to turn your heater on if you have one in your bathroom. The heat from the space heater will also help dry your hair. You can also do this during your commute to work. The heat will speed drying time. If you do this, use a gel that says “anti-humidity” so your hair won’t frizz up.

I have high porosity 4c fine quality hair. The Henna treatment even with oil and shea butter in it still gave me natural dreadlocks. I think I need more slip and moisture. I’ll try Ambunu. I know nothing about it, but you said ‘slip’ and that’s all I need to know. 😁
From your description - it seems you’re going in the wrong direction of too thick as in butters Fine hair can be overwhelmed that way - even though its porous hair Yes slip is key but I’d urge you to pair it with creams as your sealants If you’re loc-ing from butters and you don’t want to - scale back the thickness of your products Also porous hair will always appear kinky
