    Yeap, the more I’ve used amla the tighter and thicker my hair and roots. My roots have my arms tired. I henna more often to get that stretch.

    Got my game on! I’m prepped and prayed up! 🙌🏽💖 After a day in the sun and beach, my hair is dry too. I will be working through this routine after church to bring the moisture back to my hair. I will tell you now, my hair absolutely loves Soultanicals Mango Dip Detangling Slip Leave-In Conditioner and Camille Rose Curl Maker. I’ve tried many many many other products but these two get my life all the way sorted! Amla definitely draws my curls up too but I always add a spoon of henna to my mixes. My hair is low porosity, type 3c/4a, and super duper dense. I’m really looking forward to this challenge.

      Yes, Amla does preserve the natural curl. It also keeps Henna from changing the natural hair curl patterns in the hair, so I always use Amla in my Full and gloss Henna treatments.

    Favorite Leave-in: Pattern Leave-in/Favorite Moisturizer: Pattern Moisture Milk. I have discovered that Amla definitely stains gray hair!! 😢 Regardless, I will continue to use Amla as a gloss by adding a bit to my deep conditioner….but, I can’t add 2 tbsps….it’s too strong. It literally pulls water out of my strands when I use it (as a mask w/deep conditioner). It’s terrific and very powerful!!! I just have to keep the amount down to gain positive outcomes, for me. I also realize that I can only use it as a gloss additive in small amounts to my deep conditioner (which I use with heat) once a month. Fenugreek and Flax Seed Gel (w/marshmallow root and slippery elm) carries me thru the rest of the time!!! ❤️

      @rachelheadlam8532 2 роки тому +2

      something i do that helped me:
      - hot oil massage scalp the night before you wash or few hours before you wash
      - cleanse however you do
      - then sulfur 8 scalp after you wash
      you get the benefits of the oil without the reaction. dandruff feeds on oil(especially heavier like olive oil). in my hot oil scalp treatment i use jojoba oil, which is much lighter. i hope this helps you, i also have a finnicky scalp 🥲 the sulfur 8 keeps my scalp good for the week.

      @Cherl Hill hello you could get aloe vera leaf from your local grocery store and Walmart. Wash your leaf. 1)Cut it in chunks 2)cut the chunks in half. 3)Then with a spoon extract the gel in a bowl, 4)blend for a few seconds,5) strain with nut milk bag or stocking in a bowl 6) add any hair growth oil of choice 1-2 tbsp 7) mix well 8) pour and spray bottle 9) keep refrigerated for one or two weeks.

When I wash my hair I make an all in one ayurvedic co wash and deep conditioning mask. I always make an aloe leave in conditioner. Lastly Revair dry my hair, and put my hair back in a protective style. Really I just keep it simple.

Whiles it’s cooling I add some cayenne pepper and dried rosemary. Let it sit over night then strain & freeze it in silicone molds. I thaw what I need the morning of my wash day. I warm it up just a little & apply to my scalp and massage as I go and then ensure my ends get damp. @scrabblemistres 2 роки тому +40

    Yeah to answer your question about amla usage and “shorter hair”, I have been using alma for many, many years - like before you came out with your channel - and amla tightens curls. It does for my curls. When I used henna a lot, I noticed my hair was straighter and I wanted to my curls to be tighter. So I used amla powder and INSTANTLY my curls came back, hair looked only shorter due to my curls not being so loose, and I had so much body that my own mother didn’t recognize me from the back😂.
    Some folks have no loosing of curls with henna use, but I did so I used amla and it did its thing 😀. Hope this helps.
    Love your channel and accent ❤️

    For the challenge, I am doing amla teas and amla oil, and the fenugreek elixir for scalp massages. I am doing henna masks every 3 to 4 weeks. I have in the crock pot right now some amla infusing into olive oil. I use olive oil for oil rinses and will see about using it to seal in moisture, though I tend to use the Melanin Hair Care Oil Blend to seal in moisture. I like how lightweight it feels. I also have some brahmi powder, so I may try an amla-brahmi infused oil in the next couple of months. I'm so excited to see the results of this challenge!

      @@sammybreezy982 I go against the advice of applying to freshly washed hair. I often apply henna masks to dry, stretched hair. Then I co-wash it out. I think dry or damp hair is best. Wet hair gets very messy.

    Hi! So does moisturize everyday mean use leave in conditioner? If we uses gel do we moisturize on top of the gel?

    • @sipstea26
      @sipstea26 2 роки тому +4

      Moisturizing meaning use 🌊 water, aloe vera juice, a tea spray etc. And then if you want ... Leave in conditioner and a Sealant meaning oils, butters, grease etc. You do what works for your hair and experiment and take notes to learn it 👍

    I love this💕💕 it feels so personal when you do your videos this way. I’m about to do my hair too and I’m like let me turn CP’s new video!
    And yes- Amla tightens my curls, but henna has elongated my curl pattern a little. I notice it’s a little looser now.

      Thank you honey, I def want to be doing more videos like this. Not only is it more relaxed it is also more enjoyable to film. Some mix henna and amla in equal parts to maintain curl patterns when this is an issue.

    My two absolute FAVORITE leave ins are the Oyin handmade hair dew (you can use as a light weight styler as well but I use as a leave in) and the Curl Origin Hydrating Leave in. Both are AMAZING for my low/medium density fine strands! and are packed full of moisture!

    Secondly, can you please show us your recommendations of styling products, leave ins, creams, gels etc? ly♥️

      I need to step up the Amla. Henna straightened my curls out. I don’t like it. Except it’s less frizzier. I don’t want to quit henna/indigo because that’s how I dye my gray hair. I do just my roots every 3rd time. My hair grows so fast now so I’m using it a lot.
