HOW TO MAKE AN AMAZING OMELETTE ON THE BLACKSTONE GRIDDLE! EASY RECIPE

- Today we show how to make an amazing omelette on the Blackstone Griddle! This easy recipe will help you make a delicious and huge omelette on the Blackstone Griddle! Do you want to know how to make such an amazing omelette on the Blackstone griddle, taking your breakfast game to a whole new level? Then join us in today's video! :D
For this cook we used:
8 large eggs
1-2 tsp salt (preference)
1-2 tsp pepper (preference)
1/2 cup milk
Mild Cheddar Cheese - graded (roughly 1 cup divided)
Large tomato - diced
Bacon
Avocado - Sliced
Mix eggs, salt, pepper, and milk in a large bowl and set aside. Bring griddle to low heat (we were between 420-460 degrees). Slowly pour eggs on the griddle, ensuring they do not run all over! We kept them in a rectangle shape, and broke up the egg occasionally so the egg on top would cook (this we did to ensure even cooking without burning the bottom of the eggs). Once the eggs are nearly cooked through, add any ingredients you want on one side (we used cheese, tomato, and bacon inside). Once ingredients are in, carefully fold over the other half of the omelette. Pull from the heat and let cool. While cooling, place any other items you want on top (for us, it was cheese, tomato, and avocado, and a bit more salt and pepper). Serve with your favorite salsa or side sauce and enjoy!

Started off as an omelette, came out a Fritada. :) Thanks for keeping it real.
Haha! Right?! Well, it was what it was, we enjoyed it regardless.🤣🤣. Thanks so much Mike!🤙🤙
Hey guys maybe try that long, narrow spatula that Blackstone sells. I've become a "spatula connoisseur" around my house, and that long narrow one works great for omelettes. Another idea: even though it dirties up another dish, but try pouring your egg mixture into a 1 or 2 pint measuring cup with handle. Might make it easier to slowly pour it onto the griddle. I haven't done that myself but just got the idea when I saw you pouring it slowly in the video.
Thank you so much for watching and for the great suggestion! We’ve also considered picking up a huge pizza spatula to help with big cooks! Take care fam!🤙🤙
@@waltwins hey so I decided to do omelettes on my Blackstone last night just like you guys did. And mine came out just the same as yours LOL! More of a scramble than anything else. I think it's just too many eggs at once. I've done 3 or 4 egg omelettes before and it worked out great. Also the egg mixture in a big measuring cup made it super easy to pour it on slowly!
There it is! Breakfast!
Woot woot!! Yup! Not pretty. But still amazing!!💪💪
I put old bay on my eggs. It’s a game changer
Oh man, that totally sounds like a game changer! We need to get into the Old Bay thang!!🤙🤙
You guys got me. Picked up the air fryer combo yesterday. I hope I use it as much as I think I am. Couldn't fight the videos any longer.
Haha. Wahoo!! Mission accomplished!😉 - for reals, congratulations on the new griddle! You will love it - we use the air fryer drawers almost as often as the griddle top! Take care and GRIDDLE ON fam!🤙🤙
TRIPLE SNAP!!!
🔥🔥🔥
I used to use milk in my omelettes, but had an old Navy cook recommend water. I use about 1/2 an eggshell’s amount of water for two eggs, whip with whisk, and it ‘fluffs up’ better with both omelettes AND scrambled eggs.
Yet another GREAT video ... thanks!
Great idea Mike! We appreciate the input - we will definitely give that a try next time!🤙🤙
Looks amazing guys!
Thanks so much man! Wasn’t perfect, but we wanted to keep it real - still tasted delicious!🤙🤙
Great cook again! I really appreciate your efforts and being able to watch and be a part of something so positive. Thank you.
Yay!! Thank you so much - these are the ones we love - even when they don’t turn out just the way we wanted, we still love to share. You are awesome Kimberlee! Take care!🤗🤗
Kimberlee Helka Yah, really! Thank YOU Kim for sharing the positivity with your comment - God Bless 🙏❤️🇺🇸🕊
@@debbiegradowski9885 Thanks so much!!
I'm going to give you a thumbs up for not re-recording this one! 🤣❤️
Bro! For reals, it was messy be still delish! Much love man🤙🤙
I started thinking about the blackstone griddle design the other day. I really think they need to tweak the burners, i blow through tanks compared to my last grill which was "infrared". That thing sipped propane compared to the blackstone. I rarely cook past that "35" mark, even when I preheat it. it easily hits 400-500. on the burners that griddle gets screaming hot. oh, nice work on the omelet. looks tasty :)
Thank you man, it was delicious! Good call, I’ve been getting pretty good use out of the propane, it you’re right, they are really hot in spots, and not nearly as hot in others. We had the same thing with last grills so I haven’t been to bothered, but I do wonder what a redesign would do. Take care man!🤙🤙
how fast are you using a tank? I just put on my 3rd tank on my Blackstone that we've been using just about 3 1/2 months now. So a tank seems to be lasting about 6-7 weeks, and we cook on the Blackstone probably 4 to 6 times a week.
To the wonderful Waltwins! You make it look sooo easy! Breakfast has to be my favorite meal of the day. Just wish I had more time for it. But on Saturdays I love to make a good old breakfast with eggs and all the fixins. This omelette looked really good. I love one with many thing thrown in. I love a meat lovers one with a lot of meat in the middle as well. Put some hashbrowns in there as well! Oh yea. Now you're talking. Breakfast is one of those meals you can have ANYTIME! Works well anytime. Fun time guys. Looks great. Have a wonderful rest of your week and God bless. Griddle on!
Thank you so much fam! This one wasn’t pretty, but it sure was delicious! We love the fresh avocado and tomatoes, and of course, BACON!😄😄 - it always goes well with anything! Take care guys!🤙🤙
As usual...great cook! So, for those of us WITHOUT a twin, I've stumbled onto a hack that makes a one man egg pour a little more manageable. I used a pancake batter dispenser to pour the eggs and it made it SO much easier to control the eggs with the spatula in the other hand. Dispense a little bit of the egg at a time, form it with the spatula and repeat. Very effective.
Yes!! Someone else suggested a pouring bowl/glass - the pancake batter dispenser would be ideal - thank you so much for watching and for the great suggestion fam!🤙🤙
Hey, I left the first comment tonight. Woot-Woot. That looks delicious. We love omelettes too. I made a similar omelette and I added jalapeños and salsa to it. OMG it was amazing!!! Keep the awesome videos coming guys 👍🏻👍🏻
Yes! We know this didn’t quite work out? But regardless, line we say, it still just tastes so good!! Jalapeños would be awesome!! 🤙🤙
WALTWINS “But regardless”, you guys are still awesome 👊🏻
Eugene Owen thanks fam!💪💪
Yup! I cook a “warm up “ omelette 👍
Haha! Ours all seem to be “warm up” omelettes!🤣🤣
Another good recipe. I look forward to your videos. You guys keep it lively and entertaining. Can't wait to see what's next.Be safe my brothers. P.S my son walked by me and seen your dog and liked him.
Oh wow, thank you so much for watching grand for chiming in! We really appreciate it! We love Chloe, she’s a great dog! Take care’🤙🤙
Omelets are like a blank canvas. There is so much you can add to them. Sometimes we empty all the little bits of stuff in the fridge. Our favorite are cheese, bacon, tomatoes black olives, bell peppers and mushrooms. Food doesn't have to be pretty to taste amazing. With our omelets we add a dash of baking soda for fluffy eggs.
Good call with the baking soda! These were definitely fresh and super delicious! We also want to make some bigger ones with more stuff from the fridge!🤗🤗
Hey in all honesty, not a bad flip for a ginormous omelet and it looked fantastic! Definitely in on bacon, cheese, tomato and avocado, eggstravagant! Awesome job my brothers!
Woot woot! Thanks as always man - we knew it looked messy but wanted to keep it real - the food still tastes good!!💪💪
My wife wanted an omelette this morning and not having done it on the griddle, watched your video! It’s actually not all that bad to do! I’ve only ever done them on the stove. I’m I. The process of ordering a bigger spatula to make it easier to turn, but they turned out awesome regardless!
I only used 11 eggs I had 1 eggstra. Have a philnominal night smile and laugh often my brothers
Badum tssss!! 😄😄
At first I thought you were going to make a couple of omelettes, then Brett kept pouring the eggs and then I thought. Oh he's making ME an omelette, then you cut it in half..... Must be a twin thing LOL! That was one big omelette, and it looked amazing! Thanks guys!
Hahaha! Thanks for the laugh! I really read your comment with a big ‘ol smile, and laughed - this was gonna just be for me, but Brett made me share...😜. It was messy, but delicious!💪💪
Nice Job Guys!! I’ve made one omelette on my outdoor griddle. My flip went just like yours😁 I was making it for my husband, so I poured some sausage gravy on the top and it looked perfect LOL
Haha!! Well, sausage gravy will make ANYTHING look perfect!🤣🤣. Thank you so much for watching Kathy!🤗🤗
Great cook! You guys are the best, I appreciate everything you do.
Hey fam! Thank you so much for the kind words! We hope all is well with you this weekend! Take care! 🤙🤙
Big omelette guy here. It's great when they look good. But looks are second to how they eat. Id like yours with a couple of sourdough toast slices and a spicy bloody mary. Good job guys
We don’t know what you guys are talking about, this omelette looked Beeeeeautiful to us! Soooo cheesy and loved the addition of the avocado and tomato! You guys taking that first bite, made us drooooool!!! We wanna eat to that, our brothas!!!!💃🏻😍🔥
Wahoo!! Our favorite ladies!!🤗🤗. Thank you for showing the love - y’all are the best! We just gotta work on our large omelette flopping skills...😜. Thank you for being kind and seeing only the positive!🤗🔥🤙🕺🕺
Great video guys and a tasty looking omelette, very nice recipe!
Woot woot!! Thank you so much man!🤙🤙
Looks so delicious!!! Love omelette!! ❤️❤️❤️
Wahoo, thank you so much Dawn!🔥🔥🤗🤗
Man forget the haters. I've watched several of your videos and this can be intimidating for a newbie. You guys have given me the confidence to jump in and get it done.
Thank you so much fam, we get over it pretty quickly! :D Take care and GRIDDLE ON!
Great looking omelette!
Thank you so much! It wasn’t the prettiest, but it was so delicious!!💙💙🤗🤗
Looks good.
This was! Not sure why, but this comment was held for review.
Another GEM!!! Your portion bowls are the exact same ones that we have! Did you buy those at Costco? Keep these vid's coming my "Brother's" Much Love!!!
Hahaha! Yes!!! We legit love these bowls! Costco is the best!!💪💪🔥🔥
So how do you improve an omelet on Blackstone? Make it bigger...LOL, another banger!!
Haha!! Yes, bigger is much better!!💪💪
I know youve done a seasoning video along with tips and tricks, however I just need some advice. I have cooked on my 28" Blackstone and have seasoned it and all. when I'm done cooking I do what you do and clean it off then apply a light coat of oil again. however I am wondering if I screwed up. my griddle is somewhat sticky.. so how do I go about fixing that? do I need to crank the heat and burn it all off and start over ? thanks guys for your awesome content, just subscribed this past Friday. have a great day!
Hey! Thank you so much for watching gnash for the sub! We really appreciate it! I have found that if it’s getting sticky, after a cook and clean, I will do a re-seasoning - where I’ll lay a thin coat of oil down and burn it off, and repeat a couple of times. The more you cook, the less sticky it will become too! Good luck, let us know if this works. Take care!🤙🤙
One trick that I have found works for me when pouring the eggs, start with a perimeter pour. Once the perimeter gets established, I pour the rest in the middle and it holds its shape much better.
Oh great suggestion, thank you!! We’ll do this next time - seems like it would allow more cook time around as well, leading to a smooth even cook!🔥🔥🤙🤙
Oh Shizzle!! All the breakfast restaurants better watch out, cause my homies the Waltwins are IN DA HOUSE!! LOL, great job my bruthas!!
Hahaha!! That’s right, BOOM!🤣🤣 you are awesome man, thanks so much for watching and for showing the love!!🤙🤙
Looks good!! Great job!! 🍳
Yay!! Thank you so much!🤗🤗
Just started following you guys and love the videos also have cooked more on my black stone because of what I have learned from you keep it up
Oh wow, thank you so much for watching and for letting us know!! Take care fam and GRIDDLE ON!!🤙🤙🔥🔥
That looks like a hot mess! A delicious hot mess! Love omelets on the griddle. Another killer, easy recipe.
Haha!! Yes! It was messy, and delish!! Thank you so much as always man!🤙🤙
Now the real challenge is making over easy dippy eggs without breaking them & without using a lid
Oh man - that’s next level stuff! But we love a challenge - we’ll be conducting some research! 💪💪
Don’t feel bad guys. I’ve watched about 10 griddle omelette videos on UA-cam only 2/10 didn’t break theirs. Blackstone Betty and Hungry Hussey.
Haha!! Thank you brother!! We’ll get better at it eventually!!😂😂🤙🤙
Looks great!!! Well maybe it doesn't look that great but it came out like mine usually do and they taste great. What Ive been told by a chef is to always use water in a omelette and milk in scrambled eggs.
Haha!! Thanks man, we will definitely try adding water for sure - in a pan it is much easier to control, but regardless they were delicious! Take care!🤙🤙
This makes me want to buy an Ostrich egg and make a huge omelet on the Blackstone. Or maybe just a lot of chicken eggs, 'cause them Ostrich eggs is pricey. It's my bedtime now and I'm hungry. Note to self: Watch Waltwins vids during the day time.
Haha!! You are awesome man! For reals, it was messy looking but the taste was on point! Sorry for making you hungry before bedtime...😜😜
You guys are awesome
Thank you so much Christopher! You are the awesomest!!! Griddle on brother!!!😁❤️🤙
😋 👍bringing that goodness always
Boom!! Yes! Always fam!🤙🤙🔥🔥
How many extra steps does Brett get with the finger slap lol. Love the omelet we make them about 3 times a week :)
Haha! All of them!😂😂😂
Thanks for watching brutha! I actually walk a 5K Everyday. I have been doing it non-stop for over 2 years now.😁
Brett Walton that is totally awesome brother. I was doing that until 2016 when my plumbing plugged up and had some root-rooting done and I haven’t been the same. Use to do 18,000 per day. I’m getting back into the waking. I have worn out 4 fitbits lol
Love the show.
That is so awesome!! Thanks as always for the love and support fam!🤙🤙
Uncle Bucks Smokin Q Too cool!!! Yeah, I’ve worn out two FitBits... I love the Apple Watch. I would love if you kept me posted on your journey! I post mine daily on Facebook! @brettdouglas
Hey guys. Just got my Blackstone and seasoned it today. I look forward to watching your UA-cam videos. From the start, y'all have made it exciting. Going to try smashburgers today but want to make omelets soon. It was good to see that even the pros can have a minor issue with eggs. Personally, I think eggs are evil. LOL. Rock on!
Haha! Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words! Congratulations on the new griddle!! We for sure love cooking on it and sharing what we learn along the way. Take care and GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥🤙🤙
Have you ever tried some "country Bob's" in your eggs?
No, but now we have to do some research!!😄😄
#Chloethecleanupgirl This looks pretty dang good boys! All it's missing is some mushrooms and me! Hey, you guys should research those fluffy Japanese omelettes. Bet you a dollar you could make it happen!! Also, I'd suggest a 12 inch drywall knife for cooks this large. I've stopped buying spatulas and only use 4, 6 and 8 inch knives now. Much cheaper and they are SO versatile!!
Bro! We totally needed you here for this! We have a restaurant supply store near us, and they have the large pizza spatulas - we totally want to grab at least one for these huge cooks - I’m totally looking into the knives though! Do you mind shooting a pic on FB so I can see what you’re talking about (I know drywall knives, but honestly never thought of different sizes - always assumed it was just like 1 or 2 sizes)?
WALTWINS I’ll send you something tonight!
Great job guys. Just started watching your show and I love it! Keep Griddling!!!
Wow, thank you so much for watching and for showing the love! GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥🤙🤙
My wife just bought me the 36" griddle and you guys are teaching some great ideas for cooking. Thanks
@@waltwins Last night I made sausage and peppers. Being Sicilian and living in California I just can't find good sausage and peppers like in NY. So now I can cook it just like the old days and I did last night. That's one you should try. I'll be glad to give you my Papa's recipe.
Mark-John Clifford no way! Honestly, we meet up every couple of weeks to do our cooking videos, and record several at a time. We just wrapped for the day finish 6 cooks, tomorrow we have 3 more lined up, the first of which is Italian sausage, peppers and onions!! We’re going to toss them on a hoagie. That’s so awesome, we hope we do the cook justice! (The video will be uploaded within the next 3 weeks). 😄🤙🔥
Does he do something special to prep the cook?
I like your videos. Even when your eggs turn out like mine...😂
Hahaha! Thank you so much Sue! But I bet your eggs taste amazing!🤗🤗
Cheers brothas!
There is no "i" in TEAM... BUT THERE SURE IS IN TWIN!!!
Hahaha! Truer words may have never been spoken brotha!!💪💪
Do your utensils hooks have magnets
They don’t - these ones came with the shelves and unit, they screw into the sides, although the left shelf has a magnetic strip.
WALTWINS thanks I was thinking about buying the magnet strip for mine but wasn’t sure because of the reviews
My first cook was a reuben sandwich this past Saturday hopefully tomorrow I can do a second cook lol..it was really good wish I can send a pic
Looks fantastic. Too bad youtube doesn't have smell-o-vision. Being a cheeseohlic, I would put more cheese on.
Haha!! Right?! We need to talk to UA-cam about that - Smell-o-vision would be legit!💪💪
Daniel Archibald Me too!!
🤣👍🏼❤️🇺🇸🕊
Eggs to make him be quite challenging on the Blackstone. After trial and error I have found that turning the burners off and just using residual heat cooks eggs perfectly on the Blackstone
Thank you so much for watching! Eggs is probably the one thing we’ve had more trial and error trying to figure out. The low heat definitely makes a huge difference, so we try to hold back after cooking meats to do the eggs. Turning the heat off will be our go-to next! Thank you for the suggestion Richard! GRIDDLE ON!🤙🤙🔥🔥
WALTWINS your eggs looked awesome by the way! I’ve had some disasters with eggs LOL. My Blackstone only has two burners so I think the heat is a little more difficult to control over the entire cooking surface
I think learning what works best on each griddle is step one, and then getting your griddle on!🔥🔥😄😄
A failed omlette is just a breakfast scramble. Can't go wrong.
Woot woot! Yes!! Thank you so much for remind us the positive side!!😄😄🔥🔥
Taste is what counts! Presentation is nothing without the flavors. Hope you don’t object to suggestions, I throw my tomatoes on the grill for minute or so before adding to the omelette. Different flavor, to me.
Thank you so much for watching, and we are always ope to suggestions! We’ve never given that a try, it we will now! Take care!😄😄
Yes thank you thank you I can mess up an omelette..
Lol! Yes! It’s all good if it messes up - we wanted to keep it real and show it regardless! Much love fam!😄😄
That is one of the ugliest omlets I’ve seen, looks like one of mine. Kudos for putting it up anyway! 👍
Haha! Right?! Regardless it tastes delicious and we wanted to keep it real. Thanks so much for watching!🤙🤙
I was just looking for Blackstone Omelet Recipe. I'm also a Twin. what's up with the forearm things? (I'm New )
Haha! Thank you so much for watching Brian! Here in Florida, it gets so hot, so we use them mainly to wipe the sweat off our heads and faces. 🥵 We also like the way they look.😂 Griddle on brother!!!😁❤️🤙
There's a reason Omelets are made with a 3 Fold, when you mess up the first fold covering the ingredients, then the last fold covers that mistake...of course when you lay Avocado on the top of any Omelet, all mistakes are forgiven, adding a spoonful of Sour Cream on top of the Avocados redeems previous Recipe mistakes...adding a little Salsa makes you a Legend.
Now that is just amazing poetry! Preach the truth!!! Haha! Thank you so much for watching! Griddle on!!!😁❤️🤙🏻
Making an omelette a Blackstone is all technique. It’s very hard not to burn eggs, and any brown on an egg is burned, so it can become a scramble very quickly. Still good but I’ve yet to truly see it done! Several years at a Waffle House on the line may help! Still a good video fellas. I’m off to make breakfast now..
Thank you so much! We were happy with the outcome, but it was tough even to get it to this point - we’ll keep working on it though! Take care!🤙🤙
Not a bad looking flip! Every time I do it, it falls apart!
Haha! Then sounds like we are in great company! I’m thinking of getting a large pizza spatula for these large cooks!😄😄
That might work!!
😍🤣
♥️🇺🇸🕊👍🏼
Thank you!🤙🤙
Even when it doesn’t work perfect it will still taste good (eggtastic) 🤣🤣🤣❣️ Check out Yummyboy, Dancing Bacons or Latte Food sometime for some interesting inspiration.
Haha! Right?! Oh, yes, we will check them out for sure!!
NUMBER 1 rule low low on temp when making omelets!!!
Yep! Lesson learned. Thank you so much for watching.🤙🤙
You scraped away all of that bacon grease then added a bunch of oil? Crazy man!! You lost all that heavenly flavor! Keep the vids coming guys. Love 'em.
Thank you so much! While it looks like we scraped it all, we still had a cup’s worth in the corner we used - as odd as it sounds, when I’ve just used the bacon grease with eggs, the eggs burn quickly, but with some oil, it tampers it down, and we get a longer cook. Take care and thank you so much for watching!🤙🤙
I cut the milk on mine and it doesn't brown. As Jim Carrey would say " I like it aaaah lot."
Great call! Honestly we debated using the egg - thanks fire the suggestion, we’ll definitely cut the milk next time!🤙🤙
You can sub with H2o. I sub for the cholesterol
Robbie McDonald all these ideas!!💪💪🔥🔥
@@waltwins Or bacon flavored soda.
Worst looking omelet ever..lol
Still a fan
Haha!! Right?! But it still tasted amazing! We were gonna scrap it, but decided it was best to just keep it real - much love man!🤙🤙
Chicken eggs?
Yes sir! 💪💪
Oh hell yeah!!! Keep em coming boys.
Griddle Gary you know it man!!💪💪
I like a good omelet. Just leave out the mushrooms. Yuck.
We also love a great omelette - this one did not have mushrooms- we don’t mind them, but agree they aren’t for everyone!😄😄
stop playing with the egg.
Thank you so much for watching. On the contrary, we’ve discussed with chefs - on the really hot surface, some breaking helps the egg on top cook before the bottom burns. If you noticed, we still had browning, even with movement. Had we not done this, the egg would have burned before cooking through - something we also learned unfortunately through experience. Take care!🤙🤙
