@@OshanMan It doesn't. The fertility bonus granted by water doesn't effect the total amount of animals any given pasture can hold. Which is why it's kind of pointless / wasted effort early game to try and get fresh water for them. Late game everything is viable and you have excessive resources but still, in order to get the maximum 1.25 bonus of fresh water, just shy of every single pasture tile needs to have access to fresh water, under the fresh water display.
@@TheIronFist95 Yeah, the amount of animals seem to be dependent on the base fertility of the pasture's area, meaning increasing its fertility does nothing to the amount of animals. However, the 25% fresh water bonus is not that hard to get, especially if you put culverts inside the pasture. You don't need to cover the entire pasture with fresh water either, from my experience.
