i have a trumbo's farm, i kill them for the leather, much grass for everybody, but took a while to get them and on easy, i'm play this game for 3+ years, finally i get a wealth and stable colony, but this on easy and doing much research

That sounds like an awesome Idea, theres a lot of Stuff you can add, like Sharp Claws, unarmed Damage up or even Acid Blood so you dont even have to bother equipping them with Weapons.
the key to success on RimWorld UA-cam: have a commonwealth accent and sense of humor. Everything else just works. Looking forward to more in this series!

Ooo, I've done this one with bees! The queens are the only ones that can split, with massive physic abilities and an inability to do violence. Meanwhile, the workers are quick, weak, neurotic and clever, while the drones are tough and combat focused. Very fun play, with a royalty focused ideology.
When it comes to cloning I tend to think of it like this: if you've cloned yourself, you're the parent. If someone else cloned you, you're it's sibling.
Ill say you manage something extreme like 400, not because its sustainable but because all is breaking apart and you get into a loop of attempting to maintain them, but they just keep breading more. Until those dying will take over those being born, and eventually you end up with a way lower number at which point you could just re-assign them to different tasks and survive, but call it a day
The suppressor (unless they changed it) affects enemies on the map too causing them to lose consciousness early or even arrive totally incapacitated if they have some other health problem. Its offen worth walling off and keeping when you have a single gender colony and its tuned to the opposite gender in my opinion as its a free buff basically.

Alpha genes has some good bug stuff but I heartily recommend 'Oops All Bugparts' for stuff like abdomens, bug wings, exoskeleton bodies, and beetle horns
Enthralling as always though admittedly was a bit disappointed you didn't charge the horde of bug on mass with every man and child armed with whatever they could find. A great concept colony regardless.
With my game, with a few mods to shorten pregnancy to a day and a few genes from loads of mods, I can make insectoid colonist that can produce 6 offspring a day I think, could vary a lot though
1:10: I think it makes sense to think of this as parthenogenesis rather than cloning, and offspring produced parthenogenetically are considered children rather than siblings. I guessed the population would reach the low three digits before something bad happened. That only takes seven uninterrupted generations, and I've seen colonies run with low-three-digit populations and for _way_ more than 175 days. (200 to account for unexpected deaths.) That time estimate didn't account for the fission timer not starting until adulthood, and assumed that your population would get much higher before mass deaths started happening. Also that Hazzor's PC was on par with that guy who did a 200-colonist run.
Theoretically, the colony is immortal because if you give them the cannibal trait, they could just eat each other and you have an infinite and out of soldiers so, even if if you get hacked by big army, you can always come back theoretically, of course

Don't underestimate the guinea pigs. I had all but one of my colonists out on a raid, leaving my doctor who was incapable of violence at the base. Suddenly, a single manhunting guinea pig showed up while she was foraging for medicine. She was unable to outrun the guinea pig and it entered the base, and she was ripped apart. The most harrowing part of the ordeal was when she started crawling towards the hospital area leaving a trail of blood, but passed away just before she could make it to the medicine.

Its really is terrifying concept. A colony of sentient beings that can just shuffle a baby off their backs every month, and said babies grow within days, and repeat the cycle, but because they dont have much time to learn, the tactics become desperate, and rather fittingly - inhumane waves of chittering bug people, rushing the dangers of the rimworld with their trusty fists, teeth, and whatever junk they pillage off their dead comrades and enemies. Would be even more funny if there was a mechanic that would naturally put you at odds with other factions as your wealth and power explodes.
Imagine having an existential crisis over phenomena that don't naturally occur. Legitimately, all of that shit you people worry about goes away once the people who are in charge of orchestrating it die, because they left no heirs to their insanity.
Honestly, it's stuff like this I enjoy seeing. Rapidly growing swarm of insects in a game that gives you such a massive amount of freedom? Yes sir, sign me up

The scary part is that even if your colony is in a death spiral... You could've just taken one or two pawns, loaded them with whatever they could carry, and start a new colony while the old one burns down.
I feel as if this xenotype could have huge potential if played aggressively. give em strong melee genes, and once your population gets too high, send off like 30 of them to an enemy settlement to raze the whole thing and steal all their stuff.
