I was preparing for my postgraduate exam when Poly Bridge 3 was just released. Now, I'm setting sail for my postgraduate studies on the 23rd of this month. I’m majoring in Civil Engineering, and watching Matt’s videos really helped me with the English section of the interview, lol. So huge appreciation to Matt!
Real engineer at work: „That could be right…right?“ „close enough“ „that actually nearly make it“ „let‘s just see…“ „it might be“ „that‘s annoying“ „it does seem like“ „I guess maybe we need that, but I don‘t think…, but I‘m not really sure…“ „like that probably means actually that we maybe need… but I‘m not sure“ the entire video. Pure comedy for me as a physicist. Thanks a lot. (and I really actually might mean it. XD)

They need to stop complaining. I can't wait for Poly Bridge 4! I'd absolutely love to see you continue with Poly Bridge 3 content until the day comes, whether it's weeklies, custom campaigns, or bridges from real life. Please don't end it here, as there's much more to do! Of course, with the main campaign complete, I wouldn't be surprised that Poly Bridge 3 content becomes sparse from now on, but so long as it's still being made, I'll remain happy.

22:01 Bilf facts! A lot of bridges in the greater New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas were built like this during the Huey P. Long era. One bridge in both New Orleans and Baton Rouge are named after him and are both in this style of bridge. The other bridge like this in New Orleans is the Crescent City Connection.

I've driven across that bridge located at 30/90 and it IS super wonky! It was built from both sides but when construction met in the middle the sides were 10' off. To correct this there is a jarring swerve at its peak across all lanes of traffic. :P great vid btw!
"To weed out those architects" 😂😂 architects were a different breed within the art department (pulling way more hours than most other majors). But they did have the best decorations on their graduation caps… lots of tiny buildings and such!
Loved this series so much. Definitely bittersweet that we have to wait for Polybridge 4 to see more RCE PB videos, and there may not even be a PB4-keeping my fingers crossed that there will be. Thanks for all the awesome videos RCE!
Some people had too much fun... and way too much free time... thanks for the showcase and thanks to the phallically obsessed people playing this game who always find a way to stretch their boundaries.
What about trying your engineering hand at an older bridge-building game? One's like Bridge It Plus, Bridge Construction Set, or Pontifex if you wanna go really old. Bridge It Plus has been on Steam for about 5usd and has stuff like earthquakes, and Bridge Construction Set and Pontifex have some absolutely bizarre levels, Bridge Construction Set. Including but not limited to; bridges crossing over each other, building around obstacles, bridges that do U-turns, and bridges that open sideways. I'd love to see these older games completely melt your engineer brain.
If you're looking for workshop levels to do, a little while back I made a campaign called "Pure Hydraulics". I think it would be right up your alley :).
The strongest bridge is the Sunshine Bridge that crosses the Mississippi River. Most of the bridges in Louisiana that cross the Mississippi are built with similar designs.
You should play dig or die. It involves survival mixed with building and water physics. It can be quite difficult to build large structures due to proper supporting and water can increase the strain on the structures or alleviate it

A break.
