- With Q1 2024 just around the corner, news about STALKER 2's release is bound to drop at any moment now. In this video we take a look at STALKER 2's system requirements and ask the question... are these reasonable? are they up to date? Can we see STALKER 2 gameplay? SO MYSTERIOUS. This is my first time uploading a video with a single word on all caps for the taps and clicks, so let's see if that stuff actually works. Anybliat, we've tested using two unreal engine 5 shooters, Robocop Rogue City and Immortals of Aveum, as well as an open world game that perfectly matches Stalker 2's requirements, Cyberpunk 2077. Max'ing out grass settings is a whole new level of flex for one's PC.
@@cantgamerightI knew I'd made it when I could put Grass distance up on super high using notepad so I couldn't even see the end of the grass. Sadly my GFX card may well struggle with Stalker 2, but I'm sure I'll survive. We'll see, haha.
Maxxed out grass never caused problems in old games. I played on a professional laptop (internal graphics). Smooth af.

Sadly if its using the foliage system as is, there is a max density and scale is non configurable, bright side, runs better, looks better

Good thing you mentioned storage requirement. It's one of those things that are relatively cheap but could improve gaming experience quite a bit.
Yes yes yes. I remember when Mark Cerny made a big deal of PS5's SSD speeds, I knew then it was going to start to matter more and more faster than we could guess. Back then NVME drives were not comfortably priced still, but now a Gen 3 game drive is probably the most underrated upgrade for an old system still running on SATA.
Just wanted to say:
GSC has already confirmed that they might change the System Requirements closer to releases.
But let's be serious, they will definitely bump up them.
Well, they still need to keep GTX 1060 there, bcs Xbox S has GPU of its equivalent. Or rather slighty, but only slightly better.

I agree. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ll actually need a nasa pc in order to run it at higher settings.
from materials leaked to the network, it is known that Stalker 2 will have at least 3 DLC with new territories + downloadable content in the form of skins for weapons or armor in a network game. That's 150 gigabytes, that's the minimum, I think there will be more than 200 in the future. This must be taken into account when purchasing an SSD.

What exactly do you think that would look like?
Are we talking like Fallout New Vegas kind of DLC, Like with dead money, Lonesome Road, Old world blues and Honest hearts?

As for me, I hope S2 has FSR 3, so my RX6950XT and Ryzen 5800X3D can somehow manage 4K Ultra, without dipping below 60s. One can hope.
Duuude you're set. That's a sick rig. FSR3 will definitely make its way to Stalker 2 at the very least through mods... if not AFMILF (or whatever it's called) might do the trick for you. It's one of a few features I genuinely miss after switching to Nvidia... their in-game features are incredible, but I miss all the Adrenaline driver tools... holy smokes, Nvidia is so far behind in that category.
@@cantgameright Thanks my friend, I spent a pretty penny on my rig, that's for sure :D But I don't regret it, I knew from the start I was going AMD for the GPU because Nvidia, while superior, is a wallet burner, especially here in Eastern Europe. Honestly, I'm jealous of DLSS, it's really impressive how good it is and Nvidia has done a good job at keeping ahead of AMD with innovating it, but man it's so nice to have Adrenaline, so easy to use and driver level frame generation is just amazing.

So, any advice on where i go or how am i sitting? I mean, i prety much know that i AM sitting, i'd just like to know some opinions on how well sitted i am with this:
-Intel i7 8700k
-MSI RTX4070 ti Ventus 3x 12GB OC
-(important note): native 4K 32" screen
I recently (a few months ago) updated from plain Nvidia RTX 2080 dual OC 8GB to this 4070 i'm running now, i remember playing CP2077 and Metro Exodus with DLSS in 2K smoothly at 60fps (maxed out settings), but with such a big screen and native 4K it was kind of blurry and when i tried 4K i had to start compromising with the settings or i got 40 fps top.
I just started playing Metro Exodus again, the enhanced PC edition, on the new card and 4k with maxed settings runs smooth at 60, with RTX set to performance or whatever it's called - the one that goes for stability instead of the looks. I can somewhat run smoothly on balanced too. Didn't try out Cyberpunk with the new spec yet.
Doesn't bother me to go for the performance or balanced, balanced looks great already, my question of the day is:
Do you guys think it'll pass in Stalker 2 to go for maxed or nearly maxed out settings with RTX on at 4K and get 60fps or will i have to compromise there and aim again at that kinda blurry 2K or lower the settings a lot to something like medium? Or am i basically good to go? Im mostly worried about the processor which is 6c, not 8c. I mean, 8700k has multithreading and i've seen people comparing it to 9700k and saying it's better at gaming, but i have no clue how well does multithreading translate to gaming and isn't it just better off to have 8c (or more) without multithreading.
Any ideas? Am i pretty much set up (bought the card specifically for Stalker 2 lol)? Did i undershoot with the card or was i spot on (don't mind if i overshoot heh)? Most importantly: will the 8700k manage well or will it undercut the setup?
I was kinda also thinking about switching the giant ass 4K screen for something slightly smaller and native 2K as native 2K looks better with 2K than native 4K with 2K, and 2K is much easier to manage. So far there was no game that gave me any problems with this setup but i'm kind of scared that i won't get to enjoy Stalker 2 with maxed out everything as i'm waiting for this game to come out for like... 11... 12 years? Edit: oh god 2009 was actually 15 years ago... fu

hey dude, my laptop can run rdr2 on medium graphics pretty well (at least you are in a forest) do you think it will be able to run stalker 2 at least in low settings?

I agree with the Specs you deduced at the end, but the NVME might be wrong. I've played all those other games at max settings, including Cyberpunk, with SATA SSD and have never, ever stumbled upon texture popping. My system runs a R7 5800X3D, RX 7800XT and 32GB DDR4 3200.

They replied to a user on Twitter saying they may update the system requirements.
My RTX 2060 laptop has no problems running games like Cyberpunk or RDR2 on high settings, Starfield on medium settings, but in Redfall it was nearly unplayble. I mention Redfall beause is the only UE5 game I have tested my laptop on, this is the thing that worries me. Redfall is a bad example because it had bad optimization at launch and DLSS/FSR did nothing to play better on my laptop. At least S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will have DLSS, let's hope it will work and also the game will have good optimization (many players will play it on PC, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has a large modding community, I hope the developers understand how important optimization is for their title specifically.)

if it's texture popping, it's either the cards have been artifacting, or a minor driver issue,

In games that stream assets while loaded, yes! Nanite from ue5 greatly benefits from faster SSDs.

I think I *should* be fine running an i7 7700k/GTX 1080 at 1080p but could upgrade if I really wanted some ray tracing, but I think I should be good.
I have a strong feeling many are going to have to dig deep into modifying their ini.config files...
if it will be avaible on GeForce Now or maybe some other "clound gaming" platform then it will be nice news for everyone with low spec PCs and laptops

i5-12400F + RTX 3060 (12 GB) with 32 GB of Balistix (I got very lucky) DDR4 RAM and KC3000 1 TB NVMe SSD

Duuude GeForce NOW is ridiculously good if it works for you. My girlfriend has been playing Cyberpunk with Path Tracing on a Chromebook of all things. Might be worth a shot!

I have i5 11400f and RTX 3070Ti. I'm gaming on 1440p screen and I wonder if I'll be able to play stalker 2 on medium in at least 90fps

I would grab a 6700 XT or 6750 XT if I were you. They are pretty cheap now. Then you could upgrade the rest of your platform later and see even more improvement down the road.

I think you're fine on the CPU front. 3770 is still a pretty fast chip. It is a good time for a change in graphics card though, I concur with Michael, a 6700xt should do the trick at ~300 USD and a 6600 or 6600xt at

To unfortunate my guy i bought RTX3060Ti for 200 bucks Rog Strix model and it surpasses 2070S in performance also it has new dlss and it heats less. Also i think my friend bought 2080 around 500 bucks at a time so was not even a good bargain.

i think my rtx 4060 + i7 13620h would run it smoothly with fsr don't know much but im gonna do it...
I get 40 to 47 fps in The Finals on my GTX 1060 6gb graphics card and I've set everything on low and still😢 with Intel i7 8th gen.
Yo get a Rx 6650xt it's less than 250 USD runs the finals max 1080p at 80++ fps

It plays very nicely with ray tracing and mesh shaders (lumen and nanite). I'm on the peak of mt stupid (Dunning-Kruger effect) when it comes to UE5 technicalities, but lumen and Nanite are the new-gen difference I've been wanting to see... like, the quarry level in Robocop is unlike anything I've seen in a game, the geometry reminded me of that PS5 tech demo they showed a few years ago. FINALLY SEEING IT AT WORK!
I feel like those who have 4 GB of VRAM, like people who have entry level gaming laptops, will suffer from this the most. Since the 1650/3050 theoretically should have enough processing power to play Stalker 2 at like low/medium, in the first place.
Even the mobile RTX 2060/3060 only has....6 GB of VRAM, of which isn't going to fare well in newer, graphically-complex titles at all.
have you tryed ture stalker yet I think you world like it, it feels like a stalker game and not a mod for pain.

Dead Sky's release delays have been more frustrating that Stalker 2's lol... I say go for GeForce Now before you try the console. I was blown away by it.

@@cantgameright I was thinking about at least this 6600xt. I'd buy a better gpu but I'm not really into games anymore. The last things I play are just Stalker games and Hunt showdown. I don't like mainstream ubisoft type games anymore. So I don't see the point in buying any extra again. All I need is to run S2 at least at 60 fps on medium :) Really last game what i waiting for this years.

technically it's a Turing card so it should be able to at least boot the game. So as far as "true minimum" goes, I think it will... I'm guessing you have it on a laptop (it's not a GPU I've seen in many desktops) so in your shoes I wouldn't even invest in an upgrade, eGPU, or even a console... see how GeForce Now runs on your PC. I was blown away at how good it actually is.

0:45 I wouldn't follow system requirements, you'd be surprised just how stupid developers are. Starfield recommended a 2080/6800xt despite the fact they're not even in the same tier a 6800xt is more in line with a literal 3080.

I feel like these spec requirements are going to be out of date once the game comes closer to its release date. These spec requirements are old, and games coming out today are already requiring A LOT more than this
You mean the suggested ones at the end or the official one? If the latter yeah, I mostly agree, but seeing that they're also fairly in line with the xbox series s and series x for minimum and recommended respectively, it might not be offensively off.
@@cantgameright maybe..I honestly feel like, judging from the looks of this game, that it’s gonna require a lot more graphical power than we think, and that the console versions are going to be heavily dumbed down. I have a funny feeling that it’s going to be like dragons dogma 2 in the end. This game looks incredibly ambitious and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re still going further with what they can achieve, but I’m betting it’s gonna need a sick rig to run properly.
