I never really saw things in such a way, but I believe your thoughts make a lot of sense. It's all in GSC's hands now, and I have a feeling that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will be much more than everything we've been served so far.
@@dogeprissy9850 Nobody is claiming it’s how Stalker has always been, the only people claiming this are people like you who are literally inventing something to be annoyed about. I swear I’ve never seen a community of so many gatekeeping jerks like the original Stalker community when the mod packs became popular, genuinely a bunch of crybaby losers.
@@phalspar It's been a few years since I played it, but I remember the main story being very linear compared to the other 2 games. Sure, you can join whatever factions you like, but I don't remember them affecting the flow of the main story that much. Correct me if I'm wrong.
All I know is if the bandits dont scream "ANUUUU CHEEKI BREEKI IV DAMKE" while trying to kill me for my bread then Stalker has truly lost its way :( aha
Gamma fans going to be beside themselves when they get a functional weapon off of an enemy they killed and don't have to spent 400 hours stripping box springs down for parts to maintain their gun (it will break after firing 3 bullets)
I just hope they make repairing higher end weapons expensive so you don't get OP. The one thing I hoped they learned from the mods is how rewarding feeling like you're at the mercy of the zone to becoming the master of it is. I also unironically loved the crafting in gamma. It made you value your weapons but obviously that's too hardcore to expect of a vanilla game.
Only real S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s know that the zone is no English or Russian/Ukrainian, but it is it's own language. Personally though I wish it had english voice actors with thicc slav accents xD
oi, the "enter the zone" trailer had the accents you're looking for! This is a pretty big game, I doubt we're getting anything close to the full picture with the trailers we've seen so far!
@@cantgameright The game will be in the line of all other triple A, eluded, casual and conform for the CoD player or the BF player... Easy to access and castrated from what the game was known for in the first place...
Played stalker and various mods since it has been out, and it's as simple as this; people can and will mod the game and enjoy it the way they want when it is out. Play it the way you want and be happy with it, rather than force everyone to play the way you play. The whole huge upside of stalker anomaly existing to begin with is that you have so many options you can change to the way you like it and play it. Even with gamma, where it is intended to be kind of difficult it's not hard to change that up and turn into what you want and play it the way you want because it is on anomaly. A lot of friends I have who had never played stalker before started with gamma but with a few small tweaks to make it new-player friendly and they all adored it being able to tweak to their preferences on the fly. One guy even turned off all hostile spawns save for anomalies and had fun for a week or so roleplaying as some explorer that collected artefacts and just relaxed exploring the maps outside of the anomalies planted around here and there in a mostly dead world and atmosphere. Would I ever play that way? Probably not, but that experience meant a lot to him and that's what mattered. His enjoyment. His game. His experience. I think what I'm trying to say is, play your own way, stalkers -- it's your experience. Anyone who judges you for how /you/ have fun in a singleplayer game is an asshole.
People screaming that stalker "is supposed to be a f9 rngfest, with getting everything from weapon parts and armor to tool stashes(and correct tool from that stash) being tied to random chance" are extremely stupid. Stalker was never an easy game, but it was definitely not some smaller, less fleshed out version of anomaly. Anomaly and its modpacks are a fan creation just like any other mod for stalker. Let the devs make the game as they see fit, last thing people want is a group of elitist gatekeepers who try to make you feel bad for enjoying the game "the wrong way" cuz muh difficulty, or even worse, shitting on the stalker 2 just because it does not play like anomaly
OFC Stalker 2 Shouldn't be GAMMA. How the hell would Grok make GAMMA 2 if Stalker 2 was already GAMMA? Would GAMMA2 be a "fuck your fuck you simulator" then? IT MAKES NO SENSE!
STALKER 2 website confirms the game will have 2 voiced language options, either English or Ukrainian, and subtitles, full mod support, and eventual online co op. Everyone needs to chill
Chill? It's taking them over a decade to make it They at first claimed it was for xbox only (bill gates ❤️ Jeffery Epstein) And now they are raising funds for the most corrupt country on earth. Just make the game Sell the game Be normal Focus Don't get stupid SIMPLE
A lot of these "haters" Have never played a vanilla stalker game. Most of them just played an Anomaly modpack and never touched the original trilogy. Crying about the game is even more stupid followed by the fact that devs already confirmed mod support. So, anything people won't like can be modded out, and wanted stuff modded in.
especially those who play Anomaly even though they knew the description of the mod says that it's only for those who have played the original trilogy, and then criticizing the mod for "a hard-to-understand/dull/boring/confusing storyline"... I've seen too much of these people in STALKER forums...
Except nobody is making any of these arguments, I've literally never seen anyone say this and I've been out on the Anomaly moddb page and in the Anomaly and the GAMMA discord for as long as any of those have been a thing.
@@TheThingInMySink it's mostly in new/unpopular posts. Just click on any Anomaly playthrough or STALKER trailer reaction video/stream of any mainstream youtuber/streamer, for example OperatorDrewski or xQc and chances are you'll see some Western dude, who's never played the original trilogy, shitting on STALKER or "THIS IS A TARKOV/FALLOUT KNOCKOFF HAHAHA GSC BIG L POG OMEGALUL"
"It should rather be in, god forbid Russian" - I don't get the hate towards the Russian language because of an invasion caused by Putin, typical western bullshit, just hating on Russian culture because Putin started the Russo-Ukrainian war. What people fail to understand is how widespread the Russian language is in Slavic countries too, and it pisses me off. Loving Russia/Russian culture is not remotely the same as supporting the Russo-Ukrainian war, but people pretend like it is while hiding behind their politics. So please, for the love of god, can we not start a wave of racism towards Russians? I've already seen enough of it in real life, and it's only gonna get worse. Lately I've just seen people disrespecting Russians and Russian culture in general, and when you confront someone about it they will say "they deserve it, look at what those Russians are doing in Ukraine". The war is horrible, but so is disrespect towards a whole culture because of a decision that was made by one person. What you did in your video, is associate the Russian language with a horrible event, which is not okay or justified in any way. It's like me saying "a game can't be in German, because the Germans gassed 6 million Jews during WWII". Shame, just pure shame, have some respect for Russia, like try to get around Putin and see the people of Russia, because they're amazing people, I can guarantee you that.
Why would Ukrainian developers make dubbing in Russian? First of all, the setting is actually in UKRAINE and Ukranian feels very natural in the game, because it is how people really speak in that area. It is way more realistic and emerging. Secondly, russia occupied our territory and they ban ukranian language from these territories. They burn books that are in Ukranian! They killed one of the developers of Stalker game. I TOTTALY DISRESPECT RUSSIA FOR COMMITING GENOCIDE! They litteraly eliminated so many languagies throughout their history.
Stalker is a game made by Ukrainians, location is Chernobyl, which is in Ukraine. Why tf language spoken by npc should be russian and not ukrainian? xd
And you should not play games in English, because slave traders and colonialists spoke English. Also, the Americans dropped nukes on Japan, so don't speak American English.
Frankly people speaking English in the zone just made sense to me. We know that there are non-Ukrainian and Russian Stalkers are in the zone, in particular the mercs are mentioned as primarily coming from the west, and because English is already the most common second language in the world, to me it made sense that Stalkers would use English as a lingua franca, especially in regards to traders. The thick slavic accents everyone had just added to the feeling that they're speaking a language that isn't their native one. I'm fine with Stalker 2 giving everyone generic American English accents because then the game will be more accessible to more people, but I'd personally prefer the accented English from the original trilogy.
I never cared much about Stalker's Gameplay, I've always cared about atmosphere, environments because thats what make stalker stalker for me, so I don't really care if its like GAMMA or hardcore in any way.
I actually like hearing it in Ukrainian with English subtitles OR hearing an English dub with an Ukrainian accent. I feel more "connected" to something unique, that way. Hearing it in perfect english like the way we yanks hear it everyday is kinda weird coz the zone don't sound like that. IMHO, only the Merc and UNI faction can get away with perfect english dubs but I'd still prefer they'd have a mix of accents befitting a mixed nationality group.
Stalker 2 should be like Stalker. Hopefully with big mod support. But if it's just like Shadow of Chernobyl with modern graphics and my savefile not corrupting randomly i will be more than happy.
Yeah i feel like it doesn't even matter honestly if the game is good or not over all, story and mechanics wise. As long as the base is solid (the map+ promised mod support) over time the community will do even more with stalker 2 than they have with the older games
its wild how we went from "mods let u tailor the experience to your taste" to "this is how the game should be played and if ur not down with hoarding 15 items to make one functioning weapon you dont deserve to enjoy stalker"
"Maybe I'm reading too much into this" No, you're not. This has been discussed to the death in the stalker subreddit, with the gatekeepers "disappointed" the game is not gonna be "insert favourite mod" even though most features present in those mods were not in the original game. As long as the game retains the atmosphere of the originals with modern ammenities added will be a big win for me. Other than that mod it yourselves!
ong, the devs just need to retain the visuals and atmosphere for it to be "S.T.A.L.K.E.R" the modders will eventually come later to deliver a more personalized experience like the countless mods there is for the previous games... people fail to realize all of this nowadays
Gatekeepers gatekeeping and calling other people gatekeepers. Ironic, also I've never seen any of these supposed "Gamma defenders" actually. Everyone on the subreddit is too busy shitposting or telling new players to piss off. It's a congregation of very sad, pathetic and smelly neckbeards.
i want horror atmosphere and i am sure in the future the game will be moddable like the og stalker i even wish they can go steam workshop mode and allow us to post mods there
I honestly never expected Stalker 2 to be like Gamma tbh, I like Gamma because of the feeling of risk and reward the modpack revolves around of, and what I expect about Stalker 2 is to have the good things the past 3 games offer.
Well you played original games so you know that it's not hardcore survival/scavenger game, but there are people who have seen videos on UA-cam by operatordrewski or others on mods, played them and never touched original trilogy, and expecting game of S2 to be like these mods because they have no clue thats its not what stalker games are actually about or envisioned by devs, plus side more people are brought into stalker, minus side only mods mostly covered, these UA-cam content creators should really put some warning that its just a mod and do not represent actually Stalker game as devs envisioned, or at least they should play original trilogy and explain differences between trilogy style of gameplay and mods style.
I... have not seen people like what you are describing. At least not in communities like anomaly, gamma, efp. People are pretty excited actually. Closest thing to concerns that people (me included) have is loss/lack of atmosphere that original games had, because the way from first trailer to latest one, regarding visuals it seemed to go away from original trilogy 'feel'
Am I the only one to think that STALKER 2 actually seems to keep the atmosphere? And if you look at the earlier trailers for the OG games, some of it looks like straight up Call of Duty. This new trailer is action-packed, but I still feel the atmosphere.
@@dmin5782 It's not like atmosphere ain't there. Just if you look at first trailer and latest one,the direction, it felt reduced/more generic looking. Not by much, but still. Hoping there won't be more artistic changes away before release. On the other hand, if modding scene thrives, I'm sure there is going to be something for everyone, but game has to succeed first(at least among playerbase). And I myself sure hope that it does.
What loss of atmosphere though. The color palette of the originals is mostly preserved, so is the lighting compared to CoP and CS in interiors and exteriors. At most, texture resolution isnt poorly dated anymore, there is better godrays, shadows, and some interior light sources are handled better.
@@notubist It more about game looking more unreal enginy is what I described. Best explained in "Unreal Engine is Ruining Video Games" by ethereal pineapples
Thank you for making this. People need to realize this. Because I swear to God if they give this game bad reviews because "its not like gamma" I am going to be livid. PLAY THE ORIGINALS, NO MODS. Then if you want a more modern taste of what TRUE stalker is like, obviously get True Stalker mod.
When stalker 2 will release a bunch of people will complain that its nothing like anomaly/gamma and its downgraded because dont have this and that, lots of people have never played original trilogy and have no clue that stalker is not hardcore survival game, some of them even think its a game dev released game and have no clue that its standalone mod, what makes it worse that UA-camrs praise these mods but never mention other great mods like lost alpha, oblivion lost remake and bunch of others witch are great mods, so its automatically make these people think that stalker is hardcore tarkov single player game with mutants, stalker 2 will definitely not play how anomaly/gamma plays its always been story driven game.
Dude you made GAMMA bigger than it actually is... True It's a mod pack that helps with making the game better and more grindy in general but in it's heart it's just a mod that improves some graphics and makes the equipment and tool making a bit challenging and worth while. In reality I think the guys who like gamma (me included) are the easiest to please, just give us a great visual experience and a solid equipment management system which is definitely what stalker 2 needs to have anyways, along with the other more important stalker elements.
Don't forget the customization of both Anomaly and GAMMA, add/or remove what you want, adjust sliders to your liking, if there is GAMMA elitism and gatekeeping, i don't get it, everyone plays GAMMA how they want, with the settings they chose. It's not Dark Souls where everyone is playing with the exact same difficulty settings, the complete opposite in fact Maybe what people want... is the ability to choose how they want to play...
@@MICKEYrenraw If you want to choose how to play then go play something else, that’s not what STALKER is. STALKER is a narrative driven survival horror game, it isn’t gearqueer Barbies simulator tarkov v2.
@@monkeymoment6478 STALKER is at it's best when it's not narrative driven, but when it's Alife system and emergence encounters catch the player off guard, i hope the devs of STALKER 2 know this, every time the OG 3 games force the player into a narrative scripted sequence it just feels like a sub par generic shooter. Besides all games should let players choose how they want to play, whether they want it easier or harder, more or less depth, games are never made worse by adding these options. Also "gearqueer Barbies" that's funny :)
@Neko Anomaly and GAMMA have blown up because people clearly want an open world survival horror experience, one that the original games hinted at so strongly, touched on a couple times even, when i first played SoC i was so excited to get to Pripyat, to explore and survive in it as long as i'd done the other regions, but that's not what the devs wanted, Pripyat was just a gauntlet zone to push through on the way to to the CPP, which just got worse there. But Anomaly and GAMMA let that potential shine, which, as i said is the reason why so many YTers have covered it, and both have immersion in spades. Don't misunderstand me, if you prefer story driven games then i believe you, but Stalker shines best when it's not being one, when it lets the player forge their own path and make their own narrative. You mark my words, if Stalker 2 focuses on story over immersive emergent survival horror, in an attempt to hit the big leagues AAA audience, the game will be considered too closely as a generic shooter and fans will fault it for it's lack of potential... until the mods that is :D
@Neko That's certainly true, if its not successful, and doesn't make it's money back, then what was the point. It's just a shame. As a comparison, it's like a mainstream horror game, it can't be too slow and tension building or some people will find it boring. It needs to be like the band U2 everybody likes them, nobody loves them. All that's hyperbole but you get my drift :) It has to be appealing to the largest demographic, which Anomaly and GAMMA fans generally aren't a part of. Regardless, i hope it does sell and the devs are successful from it
Honestly my interpretation of the monologue is just, the game is set 10 years after the events of SoC/CoP. With monolith (faction) no longer being the keepers of the center of the zone after being broken / destroyed by the deactivation of c-con. The zone is now in the hands / governed by "everyday" stalkers. However if you believe c-con was telling the truth in SoC and the zone is a scar on the noosphere after mans attempt to tamper with it, it wouldn't simply go away by destroying the gate keepers. As it may just be a fact of the planet, or take extensive time to heal much like how the real Chernobyl disaster has left the area uninhabitable for many hundreds or thousands of years. The last bit just pointing out the futility of all the stalkers who died trying to break through to the center of the zone and when it finally happened it ultimately accomplished nothing. As for do I think it should be as you put it a "fuck you simulator" ... Yes and no. No because ultimately by having a "fuck you simulator" game your gonna appeal to a smaller audience and a smaller audience means fewer sales, and a game that doesn't sell doesn't get even more games. Bills have to be payed, and with the delays caused by the war relocation of staff, loss of property, they are fighting a uphill battle and this could very much sink or swim any future endeavors. Games of this size are fairly expensive to make. I also find that the time dilation tends to make most "survival elements" somewhat too aggressive because 1 minute of play time is 6-ish minutes in game, so stopping every 30 minutes to eat and drink kind gets annoying if I just wanna play the game and do a deep raid or something. Yes, because that's the type of game I'd like to play, I don't think it SHOULD be that, but I'd be happy if it was that. The internet is opinionated, and gamer are even more so, I want them to make the game they want to make... and if it happens to be a bit rough around the edges, if its unapologetic, if its challenging, if it's cthulhu in a tracksuit glassing you in a dark alley way... I think i'd be just fine with that.
At it's core, mods like Gamma, Gunslinger, EFP, Misery... aren't trying to be the definitive S.T.A.L.K.E.R experience. It's about making a game, they fell in love with, more polished and more accessible to a wider audience so new people can come in and enjoy it and be new fans of the franchise. If people are on their ivory tower, let them be. No one can hear them up there.
Gamma and EFP just try to turn it into a single player tarkov, and do a terrible job at it. Gunslinger is actually a well balanced and original stalker feeling mod, played it through recently and its some of the most fun ive had playing a game in a long time, the animations and gunplay are some of the best ive ever seen but it still keeps the original stalker feel unlike most other mods.
I'm a 100% certain that when Stalker 2 releases a lot of people will be screaming how GSC "dumbed down" the game for "casuals", because your character doesn't bleed out in 2 seconds from taking 1 damage to the foot and doesn't get stage 4 cancer after touching some irradiated trash for a millisecond. Honestly, some of these fuckers haven't actually played vanilla trilogy and don't know that they're not half as difficult as G.A.M.M.A. or Misery
The original trilogy still centered about atmosphere and inmersion but limited with tge tecnology of the time, and stalker 2 has the oportunity to evolve all its systema and take the best of modpacks and the original games
I think its a fair argument considering how many franchises DID dumb down their core mechanics for a more "Casual" audience. Monster Hunter on PC being on of the most glaring examples. But I also agree that many of these guys never actually played Vanilla so their perspectives are a bit skewed.
Exactly right Stalker isn't "Stalker anomaly" or "Stalker gamma" it's the original Stalker trilogy. People better accept that before the release or this game will be bombarded with dumbass criticism
@@JannyBesmircher Yeah but imo it's not fair to expect Stalker 2 to have stuff like parts, crafting/cooking, extreme difficulty or lack of supplies, radiated items or minimal story. As the original games weren't trying to be super hardcore survival sims
fair but what you're doing here in the end is gatekeeping, which the point of the video is to avoid, should just encourage people to play the original trilogy first and then afterwards play an overhaul mod tbh.
y-you mean the game thats been in development almost as twice as long as gamma wont be the same as the only recently gamma mod!??!?!?! nooooo way *said the new stalker fan*
I mean I don't mind it being in english at all! I just wish they had at least an slavic accent, since its really odd when you're walking into the Zone and everyone sounds like they're from Norfolk UK. The only other "complain" I have is that the lighting feels less gloomy, but eh overall I'm still pretty fuckin hyped.
@@EugegeSledgehammer Yeah thats why I was confused. Only one I found it really odd was Doc; since in SoC he has an accent but in the trailer he sounds a lot more western.
STALKER 2 is definitely going to be a different beast from all these mods people have become accustomed to. STALKER as a franchise is entirely different from it's stand alone mods.
About the first one, the dubbing: The original game's English dub had a very clear attempt at a Ukr/Rus accent, which the new one clearly doesn't, it had loads of Rus/Ukr voicelines AND having played it in the late 2000s I can easily tell you mods that allowed you to use the original dub were widely available and some of the most basic ones you got alongside with the mods that fixed the gun's names and bugs/crashes, all three pretty much essential to the game experience. Your argument here that "Oh the vanilla game at the time was like this therefore it's good like this" is bs cause that's the same as arguing for the game to have mirrored gun models, fake gun names and crashing every 5 minutes! Stalker Vanilla experience for you! Even incredibly iconic lines like the the Monolith's ground shaking 'idi ko mne' were never heard by anyone in any other language other than Russian (yes that line is in Russian) and sadly dubbed in this trailer, so like...let people hate things? (Also the subtitles argument lmao >Stupid American much? I personally am literate and have no issues with subtitles) On the second argument although I agree with your observation about mods like G.A.M.M.A. and Misery becoming an egotrip for masochists and the brilliant egocentric x Alocentric design anecdote I also think it's a hell of a stretch to say Stalker wasn't always a F.U. simulator in a way: it always has. Don't believe me (even tho I played the vanilla games back in the day and replayed them recently) just check out contemporary reviews, Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation on Clear Sky pretty much defines it. I think the one thing the games brilliantly translates from the book and the movie is humanity's insignificance and specially YOUR insignificance as a stalker and that is done through a unforgiving and brutal world and gameplay, the wheel of fortune is spinning and you're tied to to it by the neck. Diluting that aspect no matter how much is destroying stalker's essence from its core and it really seems to be the direction they're going from the trailer. Great reading into the trailer speech tho, that meaning went right by me.
The trailers for the original Stalker games didn't showcase the hardcore aspect either. So assuming that Stalker 2 is gonna "dilute" that aspect from trailers alone is just plain dumb.
I think there will be a bunch of people who are gonna be very upset when they find out stalker 2 isnt gonna have 2000 junk items, dozens of repair kits, 60 different healing items and traders tasking rookie stalkers to breach the cnpp to kill a monolith squad with a knife for a 50rubles and a pack of cigarettes while charging 500 for a bottle of water or NPC's only having absolutely trashed gear and weapons that works perfectly for them with infinite ammo till you kill them. Dont get me wrong i dont have problems with anomaly misery and the likes but i dont think the devs intended the world to be that hard.
I loved misery and anomaly. But fuck GAMMA that shit is aids. Also, I would prefer STALKER 2 to be just like normal stalker. I hope somebody is insane enough to make another stalkersoup.
it was always a immersive F U simulator. but we, as fans, along these past 10 years, found entire new realms of F U simulation. i just hope its heavily 'moddable'. like, many franchises have such strictly build engines that funnel modding possibilities nowadays, to try to keep the money tied to the content they output themselves, that it will probably trully F the community. so we can transform STALKER 2 in GAMMA, or EFP, or Gunslinger or Last Day, or what ever without having to literally rebuild the engine outside the game, wich is very unlikely to happen again. Stalker is a 1 in 1000 games wich for sure, is only alive to this day because of its fanbase. and i really think that no AAA game can become what years of modding can alone.
Am I wrong for wanting to hear a trailer in its native language with objectively better voice acting ? especially after the other crazy good trailers we got.
Your arguments about the voice acting is so off. In Witcher they speak like they are in medieval ages, Metro uses accents. Game of Thrones has accents for made up languages. This is kinda a industry standard in high quality videogames, movies and shows. The choice to use English accents/actors with merits from Hollywood was probably not made by the most passionate people over at GSC, I would bet most people would prefer unknown Ukrainian voice actors with their accents, regardless if S2 was a game, show or movie. Especially since the last decade (2014). So why choose to argue the worst possible strawman version of the arguments ? The reason Super Mario/Dark Souls/Elden Ring GOTY/GAMMA/Tarkov/Warzone/Fortnite, just rogue-like/lites in general exists, is because a lot of people don't want to sit in a rail wagon just enjoying the view. You make it sound like it's a few trolls in a basement looking for pain, again worst possible strawman argument. The real discussion is, look at how modding can make a game last for decades and how it shows what players really want out of a game and SADLY how uncommon it is REGARDLESS of what you like the game to be. I would go so far and argue that Steam, the global leading store for PC gaming and what many would say revived PC gaming would not exists if Half-Life 1 was not moddable.
Wanting Stalker 2 to be in Russian or Ukraine is just plain silly, all you need to do is go into Steam and set your games localization to that country and you're set. What i found odd from the trailer was that (from my ear) i couldn't hear any Ukraine or Russian accents speaking, they all sounded British or maybe American, and if a game is set in a certain place in the world, atleast have the majority of the voice actors have that accent when speaking the localized language. I don't expect GAMMA from Stalker 2, but what i hope is that the devs atleast recognise what didn't work from the OG 3 games, which was scripted sequences, and recognise what did work with those games, which was the A-Life system and dynamic emergent events. and maybe just maybe, in half a decade, thanks to the mod-ability of the Unreal engine that it's running on, Stalker 2 will allow the birth of GAMMA 2 :)
i saw a youtuber reacting to the trailer saying “i don’t like the hud. maybe that’s just the stalker purist in me” when every stalker game had hud enabled by default and thought the blind guy could be eidolon… it’s embarrassing. i love gamma but at least play SOC if you’re gonna talk about what stalker is about.
I don't know from playing gamma after all the games, and the Expedition Mod Gamma definitely doesn't feel just challenging to yourself; it feels like it makes the zone more challenging to everyone, AI included. As for Stalker 2, I understand wanting to be able to play in Russian but have English subtitles. I would love that, but as an option, and I hope in the end, Stalker 2 will be all about choices and customization
Whatever will STALKER 2 look like on release. If someone will be disappointed by some thing, Then just remember that there will be mods to come. To make the zone in our image, after our likenes.
Pretty sceptical because the original dev team got fucked over by the ceo, quit the company and then made metro so the people who made og stalker are mostly gone.
Stalker 2 is a horror adventure fps, Stalker Gamma is a horror looter shooter grinder, they have the same backbone, but the limbs are completely different
Not really, its the same thing with added intricacy with items and systems. If anything it adds way more than it takes away. It should have been the standard but here we are having to wait for mods again. When GSC literally could have made a vanilla button or a Gamma button so no one would feel left out. As a dev myself i find it lazy and patronizing
Legit all I ask for is a sandbox do whatever you want element like Anomaly, or the ability to start without the story. I love going around the zone doing random shit and not being pushed about by a story overhead.
@@Endgunner what chu mean source? All the original stalker games were like that You can still roam around and test the sandbox but there's still a story in it Did you even play the original stalker game?
It's what GSC laid out for us, their visions in the design documents and the various builds along the way that has shaped what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is, and through the lense of which it should be considered and viewed. I'm glad to say that it was Shadow of Chernobyl (which genuinely has atmosphere and character, but not in the hollow and superficial way that so many parrot on about), umolested and unaltered, not even with bug fixes, that I keep coming back to. And as such I've always considered mods to be secondary, separate, but still inherently linked to the trilogy, and many are just too far from the source for me to enjoy them or find any investment. But as for others, the community has been diluted with hordes of newcomers with wild expectations and often no regard for the original games (thanks to some "tactical" youtube "personalities" and tonnes of buzzword marketing), and have set the modding scene on a course that is exponentially divergent from what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tangibly is. While we've always had fringe mods, like schizophrenic russian soups to inventory management simulators coated with a load of artificial difficulty and poor machine translations as a cherry on top, but now the people who came for Tarkov mixed with DayZ who often haven't so much as wasted the bandits in the Cordon car park are here in such force that S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s digital presentation, public perception and the expectations and desires people have of it are now very warped and their opinions especially strong and pretentious. And it's these things which I think are inherently detrimental to the community, the direction of X-ray mods and its playerbase, and ultimately what S.TA.L.K.E.R.'s legacy is shaping up to be. As much as I pray it does, I don't think that this phenomenon and trend of mods will go away or recede, even in the light of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. in which it might only be exacerbated. And I despise this; I, enjoy many hardcore survival games and hardcore shooters, as well as all sorts of other games, but I don't want to see them mushed together into a grey, soulless goop with no individuality, no uniquity. I want to enjoy each game for what they are and what makes them special, but you cannot taste the special addition in the soup if there's a million other ingredients. Thank you for addressing this - it's very refreshing to find more people who aren't blinded by the curtain of fad mods and buzzwords, who still value S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for what it truly is. Cheers.
Agree with you man . Many people were also claiming if the stalker 2 isn't according to their expectations. They gonna mod it and they also said they gonna make anomaly 2 and gamma 2 and yes i guess stalker 2 will also suffer the same fate as the previous stalker games
Idk man I prefer if the base game were a lot more like Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl and the modders made Anomaly 2 and Gamma 2. It’s always nice to see the community truly shape the games and make versions they preferred and considering this game will have full mod support at launch it makes me excited to see the community do it again. But nonetheless I do see what you mean it does feel like they’re a bit out of touch when they choose to stay in the same direction rather than go to directions a big chunk of the fanbase has gone to.
@@psychofroggy8062 Anomaly 2 won't be a thing since Stalker 2 will already have 90% of what Anomaly was made for, save for the Metro Assets, misery item bloat and needlessly complex repair system. Anomaly is less of a real "mod" and more of a platform for it, if you understand what I mean, and only people who knows nothing about Stalker and it's modding culture think there will be. The guys who made it will go on to their own respective projects later that will likely be totally different than Anomaly when Stalker 2 comes out. And don't get me started on Gamma, it's an insult to the modding community and sets a dangerous precedent for modding going forth. Luckily there won't be any such mod for some time for Stalker 2 since that protesting, jobless, lazy frog-eating cunt won't have anything to shamelessly steal, and other people will make better and actually respectable hardcore survival mods before then, however detached from Stalker they may be. You may be playing Stalker 2 because it came on special or because you want to play a discount DayZ and Tarkov, not Stalker, but at least the modding community surrounding it will be organic and healthy for a good while before someone figures out how to fuck it up for everyone.
@@psychofroggy8062 I also disagree with the notion of mods shaping the game. Stalker is Stalker, and mods are mods. They are distinctly separate things that are linked, but they are not the same in any measure. Which is why I also spit at the implication that GSC should abandon their own vision for Stalker 2 and cater to the new blood who only want to make Stalker more like their favourite survival shooter games, not get more of Stalker. People are welcome to enjoy what mods they like, but the second that they start to insinuate that mods should have any bearing on what GSC does and what Stalker is, then they can quite explicitly and unequivocally fuck right off.
A lot of Gamma is rather tedious, but it all adds to an experience that has had a lot of thought put into it, and you either like it or you don't. One thing that should be beyond dispute is that Gamma has some pretty great gunplay, probably the best of any Stalker mod out there. I don't think it's a stretch to argue that after Gamma's massive spike in popularity, Stalker 2 has to have gunplay that is on par or better than it. From the looks of things from the latest trailer, the gunplay looked a little clunky, though obviously we won't know how it really feels until we get to play it ourselves. At any rate, GSC have promised that the modding tools will be available at launch so however the game is in its default state, within a few months there should be enough mods available for everyone to tailor the experience to their own preferences.
I guess my assessment wasn't fair to what I think are Gamma's merits. Grok has been incredibly important to the STALKER modding scene and I hope he continues. I think at the end of the day he and I don't intersect on the important aspects of what makes a challenge fun. I get a lot of my enjoyment in games from using a diverse range of equipment, which in default gamma is a pretty rough time!😅
I wouldn't consider the people who find immersion important (such as GAMMA fans) to be snobby. I jumped into GAMMA before playing any of the rest of the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Many STALKER fans gatekeep and insult players for not playing the originals before playing Anomaly. If anything, I feel like those are the people who'd be snobby. Just let people play the game the way that they want without insulting them. With mods, most people will be able to find joy in STALKER 2 anyway.
I just want an atmospheric experience that rewards exploration and has good gunplay. I'm not expecting Gamma. I just hope to enjoy whatever the devs are delivering. I'm sure at some point there will be a spiritual successor to Gamma within Stalker 2's modding community.
i doubt. xray engine is junk, no doubt, but the stalker community has turned it into something unimaginable, given the leaked sdk and almost completely open source code of the game they literally rebuilt the engine maybe not from scratch, but very close. same thing will not work with ue5. there will be some basic mods for sure, but total conversion like CoC/Anomaly/GAMMA? nah.
@@OxOOOO1337Total conversion mods are possible with Unreal, it depends how much freedom devs give to the moding community, look at games like squad, they have star wars mod with everything custom made, and they even gave license to they're SDK to make ww2 type game called post scriptum before, i think it called squad 44 now, so if GSC after releasing all dlc and everything will give full SDK source people will able to change anything.
As long as modding will allow people to transform Stalker 2 (on PC at least), into their preferred experience like Gamma, I'm hopeful there won't be any major issues beyond how ambitious it'l actually be to mod.
People seem to forget that the original stalker games were the kind that had you running at incredible speeds, instantly using meds and gunning down dozens of enemies, where guns were easy to get and maintain and there was no crafting. Those were things the community thought of and while they have their place it doesn't mean that Stalker 2 needs them. People didn't originally fall in love with Gamma, they fell in love with Shadow of Chernobyl or in my case Call of Pripyat, but now some people think "Stalker" means "Gamma"
For me, Clear Sky was the best of the three (with mods of course) and Anomaly being my other favorite. SoC had the best atmosphere but worst performance, no weapons correcting mods (ejection ports, charging handles, selector switches, and ballistics) not being found after searching on and off for years. CS has gunslinger. Anomaly has broomsticks and sharp sticks coupled with other mods that change the health bars, add eating and drinking animations, and healing animations with different ones for each med.
Yeahh when I play the mod packs I always remember the days of the original games where It wasn't as tactical heavy. Love those games, but gamma is always fun as well.
As for the language I like how my SoC is set up, important characters speak in English with accents and the random NPCs have Slavic speech lines but all the writing is English, I want to understand sidorovich without subtitles but hearing the Slavic NPCs adds immersion
Yeah same here! I always post my "Grok is the man" posts whenever I can though I play my own version of Stalker I modded over the years. Gamma is brilliant but as Can't Game Right says it well in this video....GSC made Stalker in their view of this game and Gamma is Grok's.
I think and I hope that GAMMA/Anomaly/EFP/insert-hardcore-STALKER-mod,...will NEVER become the benchmark for future development of STALKER. What I, without the lack of a better word, despise about the new generation of STALKER players is that these hardcore FU-simulator have warped their perception of what STALKER is all about: a miserable Slavic survival shooter. While the OG trilogy does have those elements, they were never the focal points of the games. Instead they all tell a story about the insatiable curiosity of man and their efforts to comprehend, study, destroy, escape or profit off of something so unnatural and otherworldly that it breaks reality as we know it. Unfortunately, these concepts have been distorted and "perverted" into "Hurr durr, my immersion, my survival roleplay with my cool-OC-no-steal", evident with how Anomaly treats its story, or the lack thereof. What I'm worried about are the system requirements and some shady rumors about Sergei Grigorovich's business practices but ultimately, I have hope for the sequel and its story, hardcore-survival/immersion or not.
@@grzyb11I don't like being that type of guy but, whoever complain the og trillogy being not like gamma and gamma is their only thing they play and never touch the og trillogy are not true stalker fans, never try to judge if you never try the og trilogy
Im not really part of the community and only played original vanilla games. I liked them all and I'm looking forward to Stalker 2 but I dislike its visual direction. Not sound like a hipster, but SoC with its low graphics and its atmosphere created perfect feel of utterly alien environment, one that's so uncaring its beyond hostile. CS and CoP felt rather crowded, civilised almost, as if the zone became colonized and humanised. SoC is the only game where it created perfect sense of break off from civilization, true sense of alien wilderness where humans aren't there permanently, more so passing by
If you want even more dead and barren experience try lost alpha mod, they take old zones and implemented custom story and a bunch of other things, its great to see zones like cordon, garbage different from oblivion lost build, but with updated graphics, but if you want to experience how originally stalker would look and play try oblivion lost remake.
This really summed up a lot of my feelings over mods like GAMMA and put words to exactly why I'm not keen on them - as you said, allocentric vs egocentric challenge / difficulty. I want to spend as much time as possible getting properly immersed in the Zone as a living, breathing place, with its surprisingly complex interactions and ecologies. I don't want to spend 90% of my time slotting armour inserts, or repairing weapons because the spawned weapons are artificially degraded, or dealing with an economy that's deliberately tuned in opposition to the player.
I can't believe I'm saying this for the 20000000th time but YOU CAN LITERALLY TWEAK THE SETTINGS TO MAKE WEAPONS DROP IN HIGHER CONDITION YOU CAN ALSO ACTIVATE TRADER OVERHAUL TO COMPLETELY CHANGE THE INTENDED ECONOMY OF GAMMA I literally do not know how I can make this more simple for you, there are settings, fucking get out there and change them, it's not that hard.
@@TheThingInMySink Thing is, not all of those settings work at all or as intended, and the ones that do still don't revert the gameplay balance to anything like vanilla STALKER. Also, drop the tone, man.
ugh, i hste this conversation. I played gamma for about 500 hours now and Gamma is a sandbox as it is on top of Anomaly with tons of gameplay optimization/changes. Enjoy Stalker 2 for what it will be and you will enjoy it. If you expect it to be Gamma 2 then you really wil be disappointed
Cmon man, the "come to me" line would be so cool in russian. Weve all heard it bazillion times, fighting through the cnpps interior. Im pretty sure theres gonna be russian audio option same as in metro. But they could have made atleast that one line as we all know it. Would be a great opening to a great trailer.....
I get ya, but I don't think we'll ever get a dub in russian. I just uploaded a video going into that, but in short, there's just too much trauma in Ukraine that is tied to the russian language. Personally, I hadn't heard the Ukrainian dub until I played radiophobia 3, and I think that one is much better than the russian one.

for all the GAMMA / EFP fan boys, GAMMA /EFP hugely different from the original games, GAMMA / EFP is 5 God damn Overhauls for Call of Pripyat, ((GAMMA / EFP ) 》(Anomaly) 》(Last Day) 》(Call of Misery) 》(Call of Chernobyl)) for Call of Pripyat, Stalker 2 may probably adopt some stuff, but it won't be a offline Takov game.
Thank god. I hate how so many of the new players are tarkov larpers who have never played a stalker game and jump straight into anomaly like its single player tarkov
@@a.zhe.2160 What is stalker at its core, really? Gameplay wise it's dogshit and the story/atmosphere is what makes stalker, stalker. Customizable weapons, armors, etc. doesn't make the game any less Stalkerish. The only reason people think it does are the fact they're assets ripped from other games. The only thing not Stalkerish from an Anomaly/Gamma perspective is the traders and Survival elements...which could easily be a gamemode option.
Honestly its a good thing that it wont be like Gamma, there are hundreds of Stalker mods out there with varying gameplay and everyone prefers different mods, me personally i dont like Gamma.
The reason is simple. GAMMA is a modpack for Anomaly. Anomaly is not STALKER. It's a modpack for STALKER. Modception. The thing is, if you can embrace the fact that STALKER is so vast and loved that it branches out into completely different things, then you can enjoy stuff like GAMMA to the fullest while still being excited for official STALKER 2.
I have no problem with it, if I want stalker two to play like gamma I will just wait a few years, because I am sure there are modders that will put together a gamma 2 experience.
GAMMA is a modpack of Anomaly, which is a standalone modded Call of Chernobyl, which is a standalone version of modded Call of Pripyat which is a sequel to Shadow of Chernobyl.

@@iijay_ Unreal 5 has mod support. What are you talking about? Anomaly modders created a masterpiece on an engine held together with duct tape and super glue.
I mean all of that aside... My biggest fear and complaint I can see from all of these trailers is... It looks railroaded. Corridors. All of the environments shown looks walled in. Even the outdoor ones look like arenas. Im afraid this is going to be more of a Metro game and not a STALKER game. Thats not bad... but its not what im looking for when I think of a STALKER game. I loved all of the Metro Games. Ill still play it, but if it is a Metro, Ill be pretty disappointed.
Seems as if some of the comments didn't watch the video at all. Stalker 2, like the original trilogy, will probably be a foundation for everyone to add their own quirks and mechanics. It's not the end of the world if your hyper complex repair mechanic isn't in the base game, when mod support exists and its possible to add whatever is possible to fit your ideal game. Obviously its not going to be like that on day 1, but giving the player base time to cook up some solid mods with a solid game foundation is the best way to support modding when it comes to game dev. Also PERU MENTIONED
one of my friends told me if its nothing like gamma then hes not playing it. i really get annoyed when i hear people say that. stalker gamma is a MOD not a game itself. its a collection of mods built up over YEARS. so no stalker 2 will NOT be anything remotely close or similar to stalker gamma. however we may get things like that if the modders come together again to build experiences like that. personally i think stalker 2 will be awesome and i plan on buying it and playing through it.
Facts man! I think every Stalker fans needs to hear this before Stalker 2 comes out, because there really is this misconception that Stalker is a super hard core survival game first and foremost in the community and if things don't change Stalker 2 will be bombarded by alot stupid and unreasonable hate... I really do not want Stalker 2 to fail because of dumb reasons like this if it's a bad game (untruthful to the original trilogy), then I'm fine with it getting hate, but I do not want GSC to get hate for making an actual true Stalker game despite all their troubles and the community destroying their hard work with negative reviews
At the end of the day, All I want from Stalker 2 is a fun game, and a solid base that GSC can be proud of. If there is a solid base, then all the mods & additional translations will come in time and everybody can have their tailored Stalker 2 experience's.
So do you consider someone who haven't played the original games and have no idea about their contents a fan? Reading a fanfiction doesn't make a fan of the original book. There is nothing gatekeepy about that.
They're not wrong at all, the criticism's thrown at STALKER 2 (If it doesn't suck), from people that have only played GAMMA, EFT, ANOMALY and other CoC adjacent modpacks, won't be applicable in that the game itself NEEDS to be compared purely to it's predecessors. A lot of these modpacks focus on things that STALKER's really not about, the tarkovisation of STALKER especially, not to say they're bad or anything, but a lot of peoples false expectations are going to be crushed and it's sort of on themselves.
After playing modded Anomaly for 3 years, im not at all worried about STALKER 2 being good. It will be good. It WILL be very different from what im used too 100% and im very ready for that. Its time for change of feel in the zone. A feel made by the people who gave us the games in the first place. Anomaly wouldnt exist if the og triliogy didnt. Im hyped to see what they have created, no matter how different it is from the world ive tailiored for myself. Again, its time for a change of pace.
Dude, game got localized to a ton of places, im playing soc in polish right now and the way it got localized is hilarious. You won’t. Unreal Engine modding is not the same as X-Ray. At max you’ll see a half Misery like mod. Mods like CoC or NLC, Gunslinger and similar won’t exist.
@OXY187 I'd love to hear your reasoning for this, UE5 is several orders of magnitude more capable and easy to mod on than xray is, xray is NOT a good or user friendly engine to modders, if we say 10,000 hours of modding effort made stalker what it is today, the same could be accomplished in 1000 hours on UE5 through user friendliness alone, thats not even considering how many more people will be able to enter the stalker modding scene on UE5 since the amount of people who know how to use it over xray is significantly higher
@@OXY187 maybe not at first, but this is Unreal we're talking about here. if modders managed to make Mysery with the X-Ray engine, Unreal will be way easier
This feels so fabricated. Havent seen this negativity towards stalker 2 on any of the mod discords i follow. I also haven't seen a single person say stalker 2 should be like gamma. Everyone knows gamma is a tailor made mod pack for the people who want exactly that experience. Modders can make a gamma-like mod pack for stalker 2 in time. And yes, I find gamma fun. And yes, i found the original stalker games fun. Imagine that. No drama? Honestly, most of the drama in the stalker community comes from gatekeeping stalker purists.

Why would Ukrainian developers make dubbing in Russian? First of all, the setting is actually in UKRAINE and Ukranian feels very natural in the game, because it is how people really speak in that area. It is way more realistic and emerging.
Hearing it in perfect english like the way we yanks hear it everyday is kinda weird coz the zone don't sound like that. its wild how we went from "mods let u tailor the experience to your taste" to "this is how the game should be played and if ur not down with hoarding 15 items to make one functioning weapon you dont deserve to enjoy stalker"

Opinion discarded. People that expect GAMMA gameplay are retarded, but reddit is the last place I would expect a proper discussion.
@@Wolfnacht Reddit is still coping and seething with the US election results.
@@Krahamus Yeah it would have helped with some people's confusion.
I... have not seen people like what you are describing.

True Stalker is really good
When stalker 2 will release a bunch of people will complain that its nothing like anomaly/gamma and its downgraded because dont have this and that, lots of people have never played original trilogy and have no clue that stalker is not hardcore survival game, some of them even think its a game dev released game and have no clue that its standalone mod, what makes it worse that UA-camrs praise these mods but never mention other great mods like lost alpha, oblivion lost remake and bunch of others witch are great mods, so its automatically make these people think that stalker is hardcore tarkov single player game with mutants, stalker 2 will definitely not play how anomaly/gamma plays its always been story driven game.
It's not Dark Souls where everyone is playing with the exact same difficulty settings, the complete opposite in fact
Maybe what people want... is the ability to choose how they want to play...
@@MICKEYrenraw
If you want to choose how to play then go play something else, that’s not what STALKER is.
No but heat rises and they can smell their own farts in their penthouse suites.
EFP moreso than gamma tbh. to me gamma is just a hardcore survival game set in the zone @@saunamajuri
Exactly right
Stalker isn't "Stalker anomaly" or "Stalker gamma" it's the original Stalker trilogy. People better accept that before the release or this game will be bombarded with dumbass criticism
@@JannyBesmircher
Yeah but imo it's not fair to expect Stalker 2 to have stuff like parts, crafting/cooking, extreme difficulty or lack of supplies, radiated items or minimal story. As the original games weren't trying to be super hardcore survival sims
fair but what you're doing here in the end is gatekeeping, which the point of the video is to avoid, should just encourage people to play the original trilogy first and then afterwards play an overhaul mod tbh.

I mean I don't mind it being in english at all! The only other "complain" I have is that the lighting feels less gloomy, but eh overall I'm still pretty fuckin hyped.
they had Ukrainian accents in the "Enter the zone" trailer so I don't really know what to expect other than a mix.
The thing with voiceacting is that in old S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. You had english, but with slavic accent. But in the trailer.. it was just english.
Mixed accents in the trailers!
I personally am literate and have no issues with subtitles)
On the second argument although I agree with your observation about mods like G.A.M.M.A. and Misery becoming an egotrip for masochists and the brilliant egocentric x Alocentric design anecdote I also think it's a hell of a stretch to say Stalker wasn't always a F.U. simulator in a way: it always has.
@@alter9933 It's not dumb but It's a stretch that's for sure
I just hope those ppl do not ruin the image of Stalker 2 with these kinds of reviews (if it turns out to be a true STALKER game)
I loved misery and anomaly. But fuck GAMMA that shit is aids.
Also, I would prefer STALKER 2 to be just like normal stalker.
I hope somebody is insane enough to make another stalkersoup.
English with an ukranian accent would've been incredible
it was always a immersive F U simulator. but we, as fans, along these past 10 years, found entire new realms of F U simulation. i just hope its heavily 'moddable'. like, many franchises have such strictly build engines that funnel modding possibilities nowadays, to try to keep the money tied to the content they output themselves, that it will probably trully F the community. so we can transform STALKER 2 in GAMMA, or EFP, or Gunslinger or Last Day, or what ever without having to literally rebuild the engine outside the game, wich is very unlikely to happen again.
Yes
You know what as long as they have options to pick what you want I'm good. Options are good.
Also options for mods and free roam like Anomaly.
@@levi_exiled8579 you can free roam in the OG games all you want.
"Waaaaah the trailer is in english it breaks the immersion wwaaah" mfs when i lock them into a room filled with fruit punch anomalies:
Wanting Stalker 2 to be in Russian or Ukraine is just plain silly, all you need to do is go into Steam and set your games localization to that country and you're set. What i found odd from the trailer was that (from my ear) i couldn't hear any Ukraine or Russian accents speaking, they all sounded British or maybe American, and if a game is set in a certain place in the world, atleast have the majority of the voice actors have that accent when speaking the localized language.
I don't expect GAMMA from Stalker 2, but what i hope is that the devs atleast recognise what didn't work from the OG 3 games, which was scripted sequences, and recognise what did work with those games, which was the A-Life system and dynamic emergent events.
and maybe just maybe, in half a decade, thanks to the mod-ability of the Unreal engine that it's running on, Stalker 2 will allow the birth of GAMMA 2 :)
fully voicing all dialogue limits quest design/player interaction. Immersion is a fine tradeoff

Hahaha, fr
I wouldn't consider the people who find immersion important (such as GAMMA fans) to be snobby. I jumped into GAMMA before playing any of the rest of the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Many STALKER fans gatekeep and insult players for not playing the originals before playing Anomaly. If anything, I feel like those are the people who'd be snobby. Just let people play the game the way that they want without insulting them. With mods, most people will be able to find joy in STALKER 2 anyway.
I actually played first Stalker and liked it for what is was. I missed on the sequels, but when I lately discovered GAMMA I was quite hooked.
I just want an atmospheric experience that rewards exploration and has good gunplay. I'm not expecting Gamma. I just hope to enjoy whatever the devs are delivering. I'm sure at some point there will be a spiritual successor to Gamma within Stalker 2's modding community.
i doubt. xray engine is junk, no doubt, but the stalker community has turned it into something unimaginable, given the leaked sdk and almost completely open source code of the game they literally rebuilt the engine maybe not from scratch, but very close. same thing will not work with ue5. there will be some basic mods for sure, but total conversion like CoC/Anomaly/GAMMA? nah.
@OxOOOO1337 Well let's hope it doesn't need it I suppose.
I like GAMMA but i hope Stalker 2 will be stalker and bring to me same feelings as first ever launch of Shadow of Chornobyl 15 years ago
Yeah same here! I always post my "Grok is the man" posts whenever I can though I play my own version of Stalker I modded over the years. Gamma is brilliant but as Can't Game Right says it well in this video....GSC made Stalker in their view of this game and Gamma is Grok's.
@@dealwolfstriked272Same Same, I really hope it is going to be a revitalized yet familiar experience to the originals.
Beautiful analysis! I completely missed the fourth wall breaking reference within the speech, but makes great sense now. Subscribed! 👏👏👏
its really weird to me people think it will be like modded versions of the first games
I don’t mind the trailers being in English.
What bothers me is that It doesn’t have the exaggerated Slav accents, like Metro or the previous games had
Yeah I'm gonna learn Ukrainian just so I can hear the southern Russian accents
Steve Blum doesn't exactly have the most authentic Slavic accent either, tbf
yes, stalker needs funny accents like the freedom trader in clear sky and the bandits
Wish I could like your comment more than once comrade. Keep it up!

SoC is the only game where it created perfect sense of break off from civilization, true sense of alien wilderness where humans aren't there permanently, more so passing by
Exactly. I like the khargness, the roughness and the paleness (is this even a word?) of SoC
@@Krahamus Goldsphere aswell
@@LauraOvTheePsychicYouth exactly or wind of time, its quite unstable but also very good story driven mod
@@Krahamus dunno, I tried Lost Alpha once, I think it doesn't really have the feel of SoC
I can't believe I'm saying this for the 20000000th time but YOU CAN LITERALLY TWEAK THE SETTINGS TO MAKE WEAPONS DROP IN HIGHER CONDITION
YOU CAN ALSO ACTIVATE TRADER OVERHAUL TO COMPLETELY CHANGE THE INTENDED ECONOMY OF GAMMA
I literally do not know how I can make this more simple for you, there are settings, fucking get out there and change them, it's not that hard.
@@TheThingInMySink Thing is, not all of those settings work at all or as intended, and the ones that do still don't revert the gameplay balance to anything like vanilla STALKER.
Also, drop the tone, man.
No one wants a tarkov knockoff.
ugh, i hste this conversation. I played gamma for about 500 hours now and Gamma is a sandbox as it is on top of Anomaly with tons of gameplay optimization/changes. Enjoy Stalker 2 for what it will be and you will enjoy it. If you expect it to be Gamma 2 then you really wil be disappointed
this will be a stalker game, not a stalker mod simple as that.
stalker 2 gonna be like "true stalker" end of the story.
whit improved gameplay and probably better story righting but yeah XD

Cmon man, the "come to me" line would be so cool in russian. Weve all heard it bazillion times, fighting through the cnpps interior. Im pretty sure theres gonna be russian audio option same as in metro. But they could have made atleast that one line as we all know it. Would be a great opening to a great trailer.....
I get ya, but I don't think we'll ever get a dub in russian. I just uploaded a video going into that, but in short, there's just too much trauma in Ukraine that is tied to the russian language. They don't.
for all the GAMMA / EFP fan boys,
GAMMA /EFP hugely different from the original games, GAMMA / EFP is 5 God damn Overhauls for Call of Pripyat, ((GAMMA / EFP ) 》(Anomaly) 》(Last Day) 》(Call of Misery) 》(Call of Chernobyl)) for Call of Pripyat,
Stalker 2 may probably adopt some stuff, but it won't be a offline Takov game.

Wow your English is incredibly good for being a second language I genuinely was fully convinced you were a native speaker until you said otherwise
Honestly its a good thing that it wont be like Gamma, there are hundreds of Stalker mods out there with varying gameplay and everyone prefers different mods, me personally i dont like Gamma.
couldn't put it better.

Bruh the gameplay reveal trailer year ago was literally in russian or ukrainian VA
The only gatekeeping snobs I run across are those who insist you play the originals before you can be considered a stalker fan.
Aww, you realize no one wants to play a tarkov knockoff?
