Here’s What A 12 Year Old 75,386 Mile 911 Carrera S Drives Like

- In this video I'm driving a 12 year old Porsche 911 Carrera S with a 7 speed manual transmission and over 75,000 miles. I'm going to diving into how this 911 has held up throughout its 10+ years of driving, if its still good, and if i recommend it.
So, the 991 generation 911 was a big change coming from the 997, which is a pretty big thing to say considering the 997 was pretty different compared to the 996. But anyway, the 991 was only the 3rd time Porsche gave the 911 a new platform. And, i see this generation as the beginning for so many amazing Porsches that have come after it.
A couple hints about this example, its a very clean one. The interior seems like it has full leather and it looks absolutely immaculate. Not a scratch or any leather fade. Amazing interior quality in this example. The driving, well you're going to have to watch the video for that, but let me tell you that it was fun and a testament that cars with miles aren't bad, they're just nicely broken in. I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I did filming it.
Thank you for watching!

What do you think of the 991 Porsche 911?
I think the 991 is (with the 964) the most beautiful 911! And the naturally aspirated engine is amazing!
I own a 2014 991.1 C4S with under 60k km (about 37k miles) and the sounds emanating from the flat six is otherworldly! I have a few more options than the model you test drove (PDK, Sport Chrono Sport Design package, Sport Design exterior mirrors, 20" Sport Techno Wheels for example). The 911 will forever be a timeless model. Really nice review!
Awesome stuff. Enjoy
Timeless design. Look at 12 yo bmw or merc, they already look dated while the porche looks like it's out of the factory
Great comparison
Yeah Audi too, they look amazing on release but after a few years they seem outdated
Having screen interfaces instead of real gauges and controls dates cars too
F12 always remain timeless for me.
Look at 15 years old e9x M3,w205 c63. Look dated?
I have a C4S and I agree with you about the EPS being overblown on the internet. The car is so damn good and not forgetting it being the best looking modern 911s of all.
Absolutely
I've owned my 2012 911 C2S for 3 months now just about to hit 60k miles and drivers like a dream :)
How much is a fair price to pay for a 2012 911 Carrera S with 60k miles with immaculate interior?

Porsche is superior and the 991.1 c2s is the sweet spot.
Very compelling video. I've been shopping 997.2, but the price range is suddenly blending between these ranges. I'm definitely encouraged to widen my scope based on this video.
nice work! this car is all you need if you want an amazing experience every time you get behind the wheel
I'm picking up one of these up next week. There aren't a lot of options for people that want relatively lightweight, high horsepower, and a smaller car, which will also be reliable. For the twisty and narrow back roads I drive on those are the attributes I wanted. My last sporty car was a E46 BMW M3 with the competition package. I loved that car except for it's weight (~3400lbs). The 991.1 C2S being 300lbs lighter with ~70 more horsepower and ~60 more ft/lbs torque seems like a sweet spot for someone like me. I could get a 992, but the size and weight increase makes it less appealing to me.
Great video, thinking about getting one of these as my next car. Tons of great information. I appreciate that!
991’s are sweet but love my 992 Carrera S Cab manual…your reviews are always well done.
Hey Robert. Recently drove a 992 S 7 speed and liked it alot.
@@DriveSteady All of them are special, I use it as a daily driver so 19K miles on my 2022 and I’m going for a million!
@robertgregory1927 enjoy in good health sir.
@@DriveSteady I will and when I hit the million mile mark you can review it!
I love my 2014 991.1 S convertible bought April of 2022 it’s loaded with all 7 buttons sport chrono 10 or 20 mil lower PDk which I love been shift my whole life big toe is happy having a cruiser rocket.Never needing more power super tight curvy canyon of the 121 and 128 35 to 45 mph is beyond a blast I need to play with that g meter, kinda like the radio I’m to busy listening to that Awesome sport exhaust note. It’s so addicting. 1 thing it needs nose lift does anyone make that for the 991.1?
9:20 My goodness I've never heard a stock one sound so nice
What exhaust mic are you using?
Rode
How are the clutch and shifter on the 991? I love my 997.1, but the clutch is heavy.
It’s a lot lighter and more forgiving, shifter is more notch as well.
Nice, how are the brakes?
Pretty good. They were the steels. I wish it had some more feel but good overall.
How much is a fair price to pay for a 2012 911 Carrera S with 60k miles with immaculate interior?
I paid $70,000 out the door for a 2013 Carrera S coupé with 78k miles, 5 prior owners, fully loaded with sport chrono, pdk, super clean. Color is Sapphire Blue Metallic, with Luxor Beige interior.
I drove this exact car right before the owner sold it to the dealer! Small world
Just say the year of the car bro! 😅😂🙌🏽
Who knocks old cars?????
probably just me but it sounds like a toy. Or an old school VW bug. Even the Jag F type has a better exhausts note. This one just doesn't get my juices runnin'.... Where's me ZL1 1LE?
But, i am sure it handles great.
Only an American shifts into first gear, during he is still roling. No technical understanding
Yeah… and 100K miles is pretty much rendering the car nearly worthless come on
Why that car so dirty bruh 😂
