Please address the following topics: 1) Lipstick etiquette- wearing lipstick to look good but not leave stains on cutlery and glasses. 2) How to sit if you are wearing shorter length clothes, skirts and dresses. 3) Declining requests from unwanted attention (without making other people offended, defensive or vengeful). 4) Asking for money back that you have lent earlier, declining requests for money. 5) Dealing with volatile people.
One important point to add. If you are the host and you have to give a presentation to a large number of people, please make a co-host. This way the co-host can add people joining late and the host can concentrate on his presentation without worrying about people in the waiting queue.
I like that you mention that we shouldn't just dress up the upper part of our bodies. I think it's important not just in case something unexpected happens, but it also makes us feel good about ourselves when we dress up fully. Look good feel good 💜 A great video as always, Jamila x
Your advices are so important! I think you mentioned all you need to know to have a more pleasant and successful zoom meeting. 😊 Something we always have to keep in mind is that a zoom meeting should be treated like a face to face meeting: be respectful and mindful of the people you are meeting there.
Online school is so hard but your voice and videos really make my day better, thanks a ton ☺️❤️ can you please do a video on procrastination, if possible 🥺?
Hello mam. I just want to tell you that you have a 17 year old indian fan who admires you a lot ❤️❤️. God bless you and may give everything you want in your life because you are the best. You are my inspiration 😊😊 And one more thing I LOVE❤️ U MAM🤗
Such a relevant video for these times! It’s surprising how many people don’t follow these steps and they should. Thank you Jamila for your high quality content
Thank you so much! The tips were so helpful 💕 I‘m having an online video-exam for university in the upcoming weeks so this helped me a lot to understand how I can act more respectfully towards the professor!
I loved these tips Jamila! I think I've requested before - but basic finance tips would be very helpful. Also essay writing. Of course I love fashion and hygiene content too. Your study tips helped me a lot, they were a real game changer. I incorporate your tips into my daily life and feel myself becoming more professional and competent. Thanks very much for everything you do.
Hi, I love your videos and the content. It is a video at the right time. I want to add few things from my experience: 1. If you are the presenter and sharing your screen, make sure you have the presentation ready, close unwanted windows and keep all the relevant content/ references ready so that you are not searching for it the whole time. 2. Don't be a meeting hijacker( don't change the topic/agenda by bringing irrelevant topic into discussion)
You are the kind of teacher that I want to actually learn from. The way you talk and explain things is so easy to catch up on. Thanks for creating such amazing content for us. Also can you do a video on how to maintain a daily planner and plan our day for more productivity ❤️
Hello Jamila! The video was very informative and created with details in mind. I just wanted to share that I attend and participate in a lot of debates. I find it difficult to argue a point and still be polite and soft. Therefore, I would like to request you to make a video on how to remain polite and graceful during debates while still arguing your cause convincingly. Thanks for this and all that you do.
1. Show up on time 2. Apologize if you’re running late (call this person or send a message) 3. Mute yourself when you’re not talking 4. Turn your camera on unless agreed otherwise 5. Set a good lighting 6. Dress up 7. Turn your camera off if you have to relocate 8. Look for a good background. and don’t use any filters. 9. Do not eat or chew. Don’t forget to have a cup of water. 10. Maintain eye contact 11. Use your real name 12. Do not overlook small talk 13. Be understanding and kind
Thank you very much for this video. It is conscience and informative. I have an interview for graduate school next week and these tips are helping me to prepare.
Agree wholeheartedly with reasons why you should keep your camera on, unless otherwise agreed. Someone joining a call with me with their camera off signals to me that they care more about their own comfort than establishing a relationship.
Thank you Jamila! I would love to see videos about social media etiquette, etiquette for interacting in private Facebook groups, and so on. I see so many sad things online it seems like people think they can abandon their manners when they log in to their social media accounts 🥺
Thank you for this video; I agree with all of your rules. I want to point out that dressing up also gets a person in the right frame of mind. Might I suggest a video idea: etiquette when traveling by air (courtesy, proper clothing, etc.).
I have my first zoom class tomorrow! I was just about to search about this, you posted this video at the perfect time!! ❤ btw I love your hair!! I love how jet black it is. Do you do something to it or is it naturally that dark? I also have dark hair but it isn't as jet black as yours! Looks stunning. Do share tips in your videos. 😍
Great video! 😊👍 Can you please do one about how best to behave while sitting for a long time, for example in school or while studying? Or how to use etiquette when writing messages while chatting on the phone
Rembrandt style lighting. Audio foams to kill the echo. Have a plain and clean background. Dress properly. Lock the room to prevent people from coming in.
I'm doing school from online and I always brush my hair and wear clothes I normally wear to school while most of my class looks like they just got out of bed, my teacher complains about that a lot
Thank you Jamila for yet another great video! 🤗 I had a light laugh at the part about relocating - I remember when this zoom era began, my colleagues were travelling between their kitchen and room with cameras on. It was not the best view 😅👃🏻
A little tip for all the singles ladies using zoom for dating - *spritz a bit of perfume on yourself.* The scent that you'd use for the night time, the one that makes you feel sexy and playful. Your date may not be able to smell it since you're communicating through the screen, but you'll feel so much more playful and date ready. Have fun x
Thank you Jamila, it was very helpful for me. I would appreciate it if you could provide us a work place etiquette like how to interact with our colleagues, clients and bosses as well as other applicable roles in professional environment. Hopefully we get back to the work after pandemic and roles may change regarding the situation so we have to be more aware how to be friendly while respecting the social distancing and so on.
Great video as always. For engineers going to a technical meeting, do not turn the camera on, but do dress in case one have to do it. It's stressful and nobody want or need to see you. One never know when someone of management will show up and you better be on a clean environment and properly dress.

@@fai411 Hey Fai! Let's see how many people can vote on it, so Jamila might just reply or make a video soon.
It would be very helpful to see all 5!

This content is a billion times better than shows produced by big TV and media companies.
