Hi ma'am, Thank-you so much for this video. You describe everything with so much grace and elegance! I'm literally waiting for your next one because every thing you teach is simply amazing. You inspire!
Wonderful video as always! I actually found your channel because have started hosting brunches for my family and relatives now that we are quarantined and I don't think that there's a proper protocol in place but I want it to be special and don't miss important little details. I watched your videos on dining and coffee etiquette and I have gotten great tips and ideas! So if you were interested in making a video about hosting a brunch I'm here for it! ❤️
Hello, Jamila. I am very thankful as I discovered your channel. Your videos are giving me a lesson that I may not receive in formal education. Thus, I strongly believe it will help me to adapt in the future & in every situation, also being an incredible way to respect myself. Once again, thank you for the informative videos!
Your videos are the best!! No body talks about details like you do 💕 keep On the great work! can you please make a video about clothing etiquette, when to wear them? And an explanation of matinee and soirée etc?
Thank you for a very informative video! I live in the United States, and we do not wear shoes in our home. Whenever we have guests over, we always inform them of our practice beforehand. That way they can bring comfortable socks, etc.
Jamila Musayeva It’s definitely different in each household. I always feel uncomfortable wearing my shoes in my friends’ homes because I’m used to not having them on in my own home. My husband is half Japanese so he has always been used to this practice. 😊
@@itsmeGeorgina No, I do not make them. They can go barefoot, wear socks, slippers, etc. I just tell people to bring socks if that is what they are comfortable wearing. Some people get cold without anything on their feet. We just don’t have people wear their outdoor shoes in our home. My parents bring their slippers when they come over. 😊
I'm so happy I found your channel, your such an inspiration. Is there something like perfume etiquette, and could you do a video about that? Perfume is getting huge, new channels crop up every day, but there's not a lot of info about how to wear it ;)
In the Nordic and Scandinavian countries as well in Central Europe you take your shoes off when entering your house or others’ house. You can wear wooden shocks that you can carry in your bag when you visit others. If you visit friends, they usually have visitors’ indoors shoes sat the entrance and you can wear those. Many other people who are not your close friends will have also visitors indoors shoes that they will offer you to wear when you enter their home. If you feel more comfortable wearing your own, carrying a pair of nice thick socks or very light flat shoes in your bag is a good practice. I usually carry a pair of ballet slippers in my bag for those situations, because that’s the lightest you can find to keep in your bag in small dust bag. :) -S I really like your videos, which I just discovered today.
Hi Jamila, thank you for your informative video. It made me chuckle when you pointed at some of the heels and called them “mid-length” and “comfortable”. I could not walk in those for more than 5 minutes 😅 Maybe you could do a video on how to walk properly in heels?
Jane K hi Jane. These Manolo Blahnik heels are actually not that high and super comfortable. I wore them while pregnant with my daughter for my brother’s wedding. I rarely wear heels these days but when I do, these are my go-to.
I'm not a professional but I have figured out that in order to walk comfortably in high heels you have to have strong feet and legs! I am a high heel fan and it's probably the type of shoe that I wear most of the time and people always ask me how I am able to wear such shoes for so long!
"Cultural Shock", oh my, just shows how the US has lost so much elegance and traditonal etiquette, truly beautiful. If you don't mind me asking, what is your Cultural? You are truly the definition of elegance, grace and timeless beauty. thank you for these vidoes:)

For many years and still in many parts of the world today there are people who cannot afford any shoes so it makes me mad when people who have them dont look after them or take them for granted. Of course Ms Musayeva being a true classy lady appreciates her shoes and takes care of them and that should be lesson to all of us. To take care of things and put thought into things that others can never afford to have.

Great video, thank you. I heard that a French etiquette is that the shorter the skirt the lower the heals (which presumably means that the longer the skirt the higher the heals).
In relation to the shoe tips, I was wondering if you could also provide some advice on the appropriate stockings choices for various formal/semi-formal occasions. TY!

Ask regarding the shoes (grew up in North America and everyone we knew removed shoes). Many places with geography issues such as sand, snow, mud also remove shoes. We never wore shoes inside and Hollywood is Hollywood. The host can always let you know what they prefer, they may switch to 'house shoes'. If you see uncomfortable they may have you leave them on and then clean after you leave. There are studies that show wearing outside shoes into the home is not clean. Please do a video on long term foot health in regards to shoes, what is comfortable now may deform us later and the actual heal heights or how long you can wear the shoes before feeling discomfort. Do you carry spare shoes?
I have search for such contents all mylife. Thank you Jamila for your time, your guidance and tip! I could not wait to start putting these into practice. love all your vdos!!! Big fan.
I keep the shoes in their original packaging with the paper inside the shoes and the covers and box. The manufacturer made these because they know its the best way to preserve the shoes. When I want to wear them, I take them out, wear them, take them off, clean, leave overnight to dry, put the paper back inside the shoe, insert in the bag and put inside the box. It elongates the lifespan of the shoe. I clean the bottom of the shoes with tissue paper so i can throw it away then clean any tissue that fell on the bathroom tiles, I dont want my towels getting dirty from the dirty streets. Thank you for teaching people what schools should have taught us, this is Basic Life Lessons 101 than no one talks about.
What a lovely channel you have and very informative! Would love to see a videos on dress codes for weddings and perhaps focus on different cultures in different video’s 🌸
I would really love a video on etiquette whilst having a disagreement with someone / arguing / or someone just really upsets you in public or amongst peers.
Please make a video on what to wear to look elegant at home. I have kids at home. Right now I just live in pretty dresses and flats but in winter I cant seem to nail it down to look elegant. Thank you for your videos. I love it.
I do love a quite edwardian look. Blouse and a long woolen skirt. Petticoats are awesome, I mostly wear linen ones but I have one out of wool flanell that makes any skirt winter wearable. Also, of course layering. Slips are awesome, layer above it a t shirt and then a blouse. And if you're still cold a vest.or some kind of pinafore dress. Combine with some warm stockings and boots and a long coat and you're elegant and warm all winter. At least in my book :) I get a lot of compliments, so I think it is a pleasing style
Thank you so much for talking about taking off /keeping on shoes when walking into someone's home. It is a personal pet peeve of mine when people who come to my home do not take off their shoes. Even though us the hosts dont have outdoor shoes on in our home. Can you let me know how to ask someone to take off their shoes when entering my home without making them feel unwelcome or offended.
Why not have a small sign that simply says "please remove your shoes" I think it helps if you have shoe storage either outside the entrance or right by the entrance way in the inside of your home, people will see the shoes and know you obviously remove them before entering
No, thank youuuuu!!! You are amazing, really. I have a few upcoming weddings and you have given me direction into which type of shoes to buy. What about dresses, please ?
Actually, if you took off your shoes at a house in Spain, it would generally be considered really weird. I think it also depends on the type of floor that homes have. For example, here in Spain, carpet is not common at all, and the floor is normally cold and can allow the footprints to be visible.
I am a shoes person and you are right we should wear a particular pair of shoes according to the occasion. This is so informative and interesting topic.
Loved this video. Can you please also make something about elegant hairstyles? And especially if we have curly hair, do we need to iron them for a formal look?
Growing up in an Italian family, we never wore our shoes in our home. We all had our own slippers on a little bench area. Our shoes went under and the slippers went in the center. So they would always be clean. My family still has this rule. And my husband and I have slippers with our monogram on the toe. I keep some different sized washable slippers hanging in linen bags with sizes on the outside for guests to use. Especially in the winter. It’s cold and of course I wouldn’t expect them to walk around barefoot or in socks. Our floors can be a bit cold. And I agree with you completely on the comfort statement. I don’t care how good shoes look on, if they are uncomfortable I just won’t purchase them. I think this is a good point to make for brides. You are going to be on your feet for hours and hours. Get some nice classic comfortable ones and if you can, break them in beforehand. And if you plan to change your shoes at some point during the reception (as I did) I made sure that they still fit with my dress. They were white ballet flats with a small satin bow to match my wedding.

Hi Jamila much love from Uganda 🇺🇬 East Africa,I appreciate your efforts and Ur videos are really helpful 💓💓💓💓
Thank you!
Hi ma'am, Thank-you so much for this video. You describe everything with so much grace and elegance! I'm literally waiting for your next one because every thing you teach is simply amazing. You inspire!
I respect you keeping elegant and slender after having relationship and kids!
Thank you 😊
You have the capacity to hold your audience.... This is 4th video of yours in a row that I watched.... moving ahead for 5th....keep going!
So happy to hear that ☺️🙏🏻
Wonderful video as always! ❤️
nai thank you for your feedback! I will take your suggestion into account 😌
Carmelita Vondra Hi Carmelita. Thank you very much for your sweet message. It makes me very happy to hear such a feedback!
best etiquette channel on YT by far. the attitudes of the other just dont exude elegance and class the way you do.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Your videos are the best!! No body talks about details like you do 💕 keep On the great work!
can you please make a video about clothing etiquette, when to wear them? And an explanation of matinee and soirée etc?
So sweet of you! Thank you very much :) Love your suggestions! Will note them down for sure :)
Thank you for a very informative video! I live in the United States, and we do not wear shoes in our home. Whenever we have guests over, we always inform them of our practice beforehand. That way they can bring comfortable socks, etc.
It is different, of course, in every household 😊 Thank you for sharing.
Jamila Musayeva It’s definitely different in each household. I always feel uncomfortable wearing my shoes in my friends’ homes because I’m used to not having them on in my own home. My husband is half Japanese so he has always been used to this practice. 😊
You make people wear socks????
@@itsmeGeorgina No, I do not make them. They can go barefoot, wear socks, slippers, etc. I just tell people to bring socks if that is what they are comfortable wearing. Some people get cold without anything on their feet. We just don’t have people wear their outdoor shoes in our home. My parents bring their slippers when they come over. 😊
I'm so happy I found your channel, your such an inspiration. Is there something like perfume etiquette, and could you do a video about that? Perfume is getting huge, new channels crop up every day, but there's not a lot of info about how to wear it ;)
Thank you! 😊 your suggestion is noted
Thank you for sharing this ☺️
I adore your channel!
Morgan Kaye thank you, dear! ❤️
I am a high heel fan and it's probably the type of shoe that I wear most of the time and people always ask me how I am able to wear such shoes for so long!
just discovered your channel today and LOVE your content, delivery and aesthetic! You are like the Azerbaijani Marie Kondo
Thank you! 🙏🏻 Greeting from Baku 🇦🇿
She is both classy and down to earth. Great channel!
Thank you very much!
"Cultural Shock", oh my, just shows how the US has lost so much elegance and traditonal etiquette, truly beautiful. If you don't mind me asking, what is your Cultural? You are truly the definition of elegance, grace and timeless beauty. thank you for these vidoes:)

Hi Jamila ...from the day I saw your first video, I have become your fan. I am really obsessed with your sweet soft voice. I can watch your videos even when my mom is sleeping next to me and still she don't get disturbed. Lots of love to you...I really look upon you to have a personality like yours😍😇
Thank you very much!
For many years and still in many parts of the world today there are people who cannot afford any shoes so it makes me mad when people who have them dont look after them or take them for granted. Of course Ms Musayeva being a true classy lady appreciates her shoes and takes care of them and that should be lesson to all of us. To take care of things and put thought into things that others can never afford to have.
i just discovered your account and i found it is very addicting! i reaaallyy like you and your videos. you’re doing a great job👏🏾
most “lady”-ish videos just annoyed me but this one its pure and full of knowledge, please make some moree. sending love from southeast asia🇮🇩.

As always, you've provided useful information. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on etiquette. You make your followers a bit wiser with every video
Hi Jamila, you have such grace and class while talking that is amusing. I will definitely continue to follow your lessons but I have a request (if possible). May you please do a "style/dress etiquette video"?
Thank you! 🙏🏻

I just found your video. I do love you immediately. I sent it to my beloved daughters so they can learn proper way from you. Love from UK

Great video, thank you.
I heard that a French etiquette is that the shorter the skirt the lower the heals (which presumably means that the longer the skirt the higher the heals).
Good one ☺️ love it!
In relation to the shoe tips, I was wondering if you could also provide some advice on the appropriate stockings choices for various formal/semi-formal occasions. TY!

Very informative video and beautifully explained. Generally, we pay attention to our body, clothes, and hair but we often forget to pay attention to our feet or footwear. Even I am careless regarding footwear but after watching this video I am going to pay attention. Thank you so much for the video.
You are very welcome ☺️

Hi, I just found your channel recently and I loved the contents.
Especially since I've been reading novels and manhwas about medieval era and most of the main characters are either princesses or noble ladies. Maybe that's why I'm intrigued in learning etiquettes and I just found myself the perfect teacher thanks.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Always take my shoes off. my friends know that and they do that when come to visit me.thank you .Love your voice very nice.
Your low volume voice is so natural and thus soothing. It doesn't sound pretentious. In fact everything about you seems natural! You're an inspiration 😍..
Also, you're petite and lovely; petite itself to me translates to class! You're simply born into it! How lucky!😍
Special request:
Could you please make a video on wardrobe staples for different ocassions such as formal, informal, casual, dates, nightwear, weddings etc? Thank you SO much! 💋🌷

somi somi so sweet of you! Thanks!
Hi, Jamila! Your videos are very helpful in personal grooming and leaving a good impression. I'd be thankful if you make a video for routine university day in Asian countries and how to look presentable on your convocation, as it's a very important event
Hi. Thank you for your feedback! Can you specify what exactly would you like the video to be on? I have a video on deportment (two series) - how to stand, sit and carry yourself. More videos will be coming soon on other topics that you might find useful for looking more presentable. Stay tuned 😊
I want to look the best at my graduation ceremony so I was wondering if you could help me know what sort of dress, shoes or hairstyle would do the job right
@@ayeshasummiya7033 I see now. When is it? What is the dress code like and what time of the day/ venue is it going to be held in?
It will be within the university ground inside a canopy, probably in the afternoon- spring season
@@ayeshasummiya7033 so will it be on a grass. If yes, I urge you to opt for wedges or small but block heels so it does not get stuck on the grass. Since it will be in the late afternoon during spring season, you can go for some flowery cocktail dress. You can put your hair either up or down depending on what suits you.
Newly obsessed with this channel. Really appreciate your work 🙏❤️
Thank you!
So sweet n gentle...so soothing ur voice is!😍
Thank you!
I have search for such contents all mylife. Thank you Jamila for your time, your guidance and tip! I could not wait to start putting these into practice. love all your vdos!!! Big fan.
You are welcome ☺️
I am honestly learning so much from your channel. I had no idea all these rules existed! These life skills ought to be taught in schools. My goodness.
I am glad to hear that ☺️
What a lovely channel you have and very informative! Would love to see a videos on dress codes for weddings and perhaps focus on different cultures in different video’s 🌸
Thank you! 😊
I would really love a video on etiquette whilst having a disagreement with someone / arguing / or someone just really upsets you in public or amongst peers.
Dear Jamila,
I just discovered your UA-cam videos today. You are so lovely and offer such kind and gentle advice! Thank you for what you do. :)
I started from the bags and now im binge watching 🥰
😊🙏🏻
Thank you! 🙏🏻
I love your elegant classy style. YT brings me here and I'm really happy. Greetings from the Caribbean Puerto Rico.
I am from Turkey, love your videos so much.
A great fan of your voice, so soft and soothing..
Thank you!
Thank you this was helpful and I learned a lot :) I consider myself to be very classy and elegant and I didn’t know some of your rules :)
Actually, if you took off your shoes at a house in Spain, it would generally be considered really weird. I think it also depends on the type of floor that homes have. For example, here in Spain, carpet is not common at all, and the floor is normally cold and can allow the footprints to be visible.
Thank you for sharing!
You are such an inspiration 😍 thank you for your videos ❤️
Thank you very much! 🙏🏻

I have now just discovered your channel and I like the videos. You present the topic of etiquette well. I hope you and your family are safe.
Loved this video. Can you please also make something about elegant hairstyles? And especially if we have curly hair, do we need to iron them for a formal look?
Yes...much needed....
I'm interested too!
This video was nice I was able to see what kind of shoe I wear when I go out.
Today I discovered your channel and I’m officially in love!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
