Nicely done video, thanks. But I find it interesting too be comparing "alternatives" to a watch that just came out and in fact as you note is not even available in many places. Typically one would do these comparisons to an established icon. I am waiting on my AD to get this in for me to look at. In fact, the Tudor Royal IS the alternative to other watches I might want as it is brand new and different. I just find the whole premise odd. Alternatives to the Datejust, sure. Some of your comparisons were on the mark, especially the ML. But I surely did not get the comparison the Breitling SuperOcean, just a totally different watch. But anyway, as mentioned, you put together a nice production and I look forward to more.
Thanks for taking the time to express your feeling. To me it is such a striking watch that I truly wanted to have one to the point of exploring alternatives to it. But now that it’s actually available elsewhere it does make the video a bit mute. As far as the comparison with the super ocean, I was banking on the fact that both watches are versatile as sports and dressy watches. But I guess if I’m to make that argument, I might as well consider other brands than breitling. It’s just too broad and not so relatable to the royal.
Hello Sir. I accidently stumbled upon your marvellous channel. The content of and the way this video is shot immanently made me a subscriber of your channel. I wonder why you do not have many more subscribers than you do?! Keep up this form of excellence and you hopefully will. Thank you very much for a supreme horological experience. Must see the rest ! :-)
I’m not happy with the dial or bezel designs. A little work and they’re on to something. There’s a valid need for a modern integrated bracelet sport-dress watch in this market segment but I think that the second generation will have some design corrections.
I agree there’s some lost opportunity here. Like many products, the second gen is where the improvements will come from but the first gens becomes relics or collectibles. I for one want to see an easy change bracelet scheme from Rolex. They’ve been shying away from that.
Actually quite a few remarked that in forums. One of the best homages is the orient president that’s around 300 bucks. However the value and quality was way too great and the only similarity left was just the bezel being fluted.
Design Atelier try Bliger datejust with Roman numbers. Or if you want good quality, try San Martin datejust. For $350 you get much more than Orient. Imho. Btw i am Rolex fna and i own Rolex. But i also own homages, thye make you understand watches more.
Handy Time I may try the san Marin. I’ve been hearing good things about them. But bliger’s more on the low end and I place them worse than orients seeing both first hand.
I think it was very clear that i was referring to the actual watch that the royal is trying to appeal to visually. I did not mean that its in the same price range which is what most people would think readily as an alternative.
Very unique video style👌 i would choose the tudor royal in the end.✌️
Beautiful! Any cheaper under $500 alternative though?

Design Atelier okay.. what abt Pagani Design datejust ?
Handy Time I’ll have to look that up too.
But why it is only sell in asian????racial discrimination????
Many believe it’s exclusivity and that it’s designed for Asian market’s smaller wrist.
Design Atelier I can imagine that other small somthing………
@@DesignAtelier ah yes the 41mm for the smaller wrists
