How this channel hasn't blown up yet is beyond me. One of - if not the best - production values of any watch channel around, and very insightful commentary on many relevant pieces nowadays.
Well, our man has alot of good competition. Watchfinder and urbangentry arent the only ones with great watch contents here, but i think this channel is growing very well. Keep up the good work hafiz
right! he should add #tudorroyal instead of #HafizMehmood (it's just an help for YT organic )
The watch community isn’t that big, it takes a long time to build an audience.
Just wanted to echo your comments about this channel. I heard about the Tudor Royal from news articles, however only became obsessed with the watch after watching this video. Hafiz is awesome in his story telling and video productions. So much so, he indirectly pushed me to acquire this watch from overseas and pay import taxes... if I’m allowed, below is a link to my poor imitation of a Hafiz production. If you’re reading this Hafiz, I know you have some seriously expensive watches in your collection. I just wanted to say I appreciated the fact you featured this watch, which is aimed at those with more modest finances.

I agree! I just subscribed
I'm surprised by the negative comments. In my opinion this is almost as beautiful and elegant as a datejust for a fraction of the price. It's amazing how Tudor has grown in recent years. Congratulations for the video.
So dose that mean is fake I’m looking to pay about 2 grand for one and want to find out more ???
@@thegrinchCAPO fake?? Absolutely not. Tudor is not a fake ahahah, they are owned by the exact same family that owns Rolex and were even founded by the exact same man Hans Wilsdorf. Tudor are the opposite end of being a fake watch, it is a company with a lot of heritage.
@@vangledosh oh okay thanks a lot
@@thegrinchCAPO No worries, wear it with pride if you ever decide to get it. Tudor are a fantastic brand that make some of the best watches under $5k
Everyone mentions price as the debilitating factor when bringing up Rolex. The fact is if price was irrelevant, almost everyone would choose the Rolex model over this.
I bought this watch for my 40th birthday, and all I can say is that it is perfect! By the way, the clasp is not that bad as it is sturdy and does its purpose. The integrated bracelet is superb and is very classy. The bezel is a thing of beauty especially when it is being illuminated by lights.. It shines really nicely. It's a classic bezel with a modern touch. As to the movement, I dont have any qualms if the same is not in-house. After all, Tudor deliberately outsourced the movement to keep the cost and price down. All in all, what I am getting from aTudor Royal is a high end and high quality-made watch with a lot of heritage. By the way, I did not buy Tudor Royal because I cannot afford Rolex DJ, I bought the Tudor Royal because I love the watch and the brand.
Couldn't agree more , I have the same watch and it's absolutely superb , I have breitling and some other expensive watches , but this one is by far my favourite, I love the design and the brand 🔥🔥
I was thinking just now this would be a great watch to buy yourself. It feels special and is good quality, good value but still feels special.
I got mine last week. Im so satisfied and excited about it. Fully agree with your comment.
I think some people are obsessing too much about the movements in watches. When it comes to high end luxury it makes sense that the watch would be completely in house but it does not always have to be that way even for high end luxury.
Bought mine for my 30th birthday ! Not disappointed at all, it’s probably the most beautiful watch I’ve ever owned (and I owned quite a few 😅)
You're giving Watchfinder a run for his money 😃
Definitely, i can agree to that
Indeed !
I find watchfinder booring compared to this
Your channel blows watchfinder out of the water fantastic channel sir 💚
Feels much more prestigious than Watchfinder.
Hafiz, you really one of, if not the best guys on UA-cam when it comes to presenting and reviewing watches. Your reviews are always thoughtful and informative, and the photography is magnificent! As for the Tudor Royal, I think it can certainly compete with the Rolex DateJust, and maybe even the Day Date. Keep up the great work!!
Your b-roll is honestly better than Tudor's own advertising material.
Amazing review! I love how detailed it is and you really feel like you know the product, by the end of it.
Hands-down one of the best reviews I've seen on UA-cam.
Great Video! Been waiting for someone to review one of these pieces. The watch is simply stunning, and it is definitely high on my 'want' list. Thanks for the video!
Love to see this review!!! Nobody talked or reviewed this watch! Thanks!!
Absolutely amazing content! The macro shots are awesome! Greetings from Germany :)
You've made some of the BEST macroshot videos in UA-cam watch channels. Congratulations!
Thanks so much :)
Your videos has amazing quality man! This is gonna be my next purchase for my collection, amazing piece!
Finally someone gives the crystal measurement. Thank you! I feel this is a dimension often (almost always) overlooked. Having a slim wrist (16cm), there are many watches that fit me case-wise, but if the dial is too large then I feel it overpowers my wrist and ends up looking like I'm wearing a dinner plate. 32mm is about the maximum dial diameter I'm comfortable with, but it's personal taste at the end of the day.
I always thought that this watch was quite ugly in pictures, but it actually looks quite tempting in your video, which is fantastic by the way. Came across your channel last week and love it. Lovely watches and fantastic camera work!
Thanks so much :)
Dude i had the exact same thoughts. I love Tudor, and when i saw this watch i honestly felt like it looked like a 600$ fashion watch. But now after watching this video i kinda want one, dispite the flaws it has.
Nice review. clear and concise. Even mentioned that the bracelet pulls straight down from the case which I think is a big part on how a watch fits.
Underrated. Thats why I want it. Beautiful watch
You're making some top notch reviews. Keep it up!!
I have seen some of your videos before but I just had to sub now. Your vids are just so great. Hope you keep it up, man!
Thanks so much :)
just got one yesterday, it's really elegant, beautiful for daily wear one, love bracelet, bezel, and dial made, Blue is a excellent choice
You watching- the only review channel that draws more attentions to the review itself than the watches being reviewed.
Half numerals for 3 is a huge plus for me. One of the reasons I bought the watch on top of the bezel, integrated bracelet and chapter ring
Excellent video. This was a much needed in-depth look of a watch that peeked my interest. I would love to see a 38mm day date version, if that ever comes out, I’m going to pick one up immediately.
wonderful review, subscribed. i certainly hope 38mm watches make a comeback and this model should be on a lot of must have lists.
Great review, I tried this watch on today and in the flesh it’s stunning
You made me pulled the trigger Hafiz! Glad I found your video! Keep up the great work!
Looks fantastic! I have my eye on the 41 black dial 👍🏻
Great review, as always!
When I saw the 41mm day date version I really didn’t liked it.
However this version date only is so elegant and well balanced. This video really made the Royal justice.
Awesome review 👍👍
The watch is made just in a perfect size, this is definitely the Datejust alternative from Tudor
I think this watch will be like the black bay to the submariner.
Wow just discovered the channel via a french forum who shared the link to this tudor Royal. I just love the way you film and the detail you capture. For sure I subscribe. I think that you should also add a bit of value in your Patreon by giving tips and kind of workshop on the way you are making these vids. At least I am very interested about the gear you use.
Great review, and great shooting. As for the clasp, it works as intended. I have short nails and would have no chance at opening the clasp without being able to grab it from either side. It won't loosen whilst on your wrist, if something gets between your wrist and the watch with enough power to unlock it, you should worry more about your wrist falling off your hand, not your watch off the wrist.
After i see the watch on jomashop, immediately i watched your content about the royal. Thanks for the great detailed video!👌
Great video! Love it, but so hard to come by in Australia! I have tried many mainstream stores in Sydney and Melbourne without luck so far. Would be happy to get your insights on how to grab one :) Keep up the great work Mate, thank you!
Wow! Sir your video is out of standing thank you, this is an art 🙏🏼
In the 8 months of owning this same watch you review I've never had the flip lock open by accident.
It's been almost 3 years, has it opened by accident yet? On the fence about buying this one
@@turboZ3 No - mine has never opened by accident . But I could see that if you wear the band very loose , and it slips down to the below wrist/top of hand are that it could be opened when you twist your hand - not my experience where I wear my watch though.
@@michaelandrew4488 thanks
Stillon the fence with this watch. But 2 things I know for sure.....
1). This channel produces the BEST watch videos on UA-cam. There is no one better!
2). Love the 38mm size! I get so frustrated when I find a watch I’m interested in only to discover it’s a 42...44...or larger piece.
Thank you so much for the support :)
Just tripped over your channel. Very impressed and a great review. Looking forward to your other posts.
Love Tudor, this ones just not for me, all the negatives you mentioned are spot on and the dust on the markers is unforgivable
Thanks so much :)
Great introduction of a great watch. It was an inspiration for me. Thus, I bought the same today. - In fact, the watch looks even better in reality than in the video.
Btw: Roman numbers are great.
Our wrist size is virtually identical, so that takes the usefulness of your videos to the next level, thanks for your great and thoughtful work.
SUPER UNDERRATED. It’s a beautiful watch.
Another fantastic video, what detail...!!! Thank you.
The balls in the clasp are ceramic I believe, and on black bay models work just fine and very smoothly. Tudor clasps my opinion seem to be of better quality than Rolex aside from the lack of quick micro adjustment, but the one on this model is slightly different and more integrated into the bracelet.
Love it! Thanks for the video
I was interested in this kind of design but I might save up more and get the Zenith Defy Classic. There's a noticeable price jump though and I'm not sure whether it's worth it
This watch is amazing! Beautiful timepiece.
Your watch reviews are just so damn good!!!
Superb, all the info you need. Thanks Hafiz
This is very similar to the Tudor classic which has a very similar case and bezel and has been around for years although it dosent have an integrated bracelet, the classic was in the 2019 tudor catalogue and I think its still current.
An interesting watch, but that clasp is something I wouldn't be able to live with. The fact that most reviewers don't mention this detail, shows either superficial work, or that they withheld the information on purpose. Thanks again for an honest and detailed review!
Been wearing mine for a week. Clasp is not a problem
Your voice and the way you talk is very good. And the quality of the video is superb. Good job sir! Shout out from Chicago, I love my 116610LN
Thanks so much :)
The wrist shots with the white shirt are just 🔥🔥🔥
They really are!
Stunning watch ... I feel like the space below the handset looks a bit void? I feel like it needs some minor script of some sort to fill it.
wonderful video. btw those small dots are ceramic that hold the clasp together.
Your close shots are beautiful..... More power to you
Dude the quality of those macro shots are hands down the best on UA-cam, instant sub! At 11:20, arent those ceramic ball bearings? Not sure about this particular watch, but Tudor usually uses ceramic ball bearings on their bracelet
Thanks so much :)
Yeah it could be ceramic. It just felt softer but I’ve had no means to verify it. Thanks for filling me in.
Hi Hafiz, Will you review the Royal 41 as well and may be also compare it to the Day Date 41 I know they are not in the same league but it would be nice to see how Tudor cut the coners to lower the price. Thanks and great job as always
11:20 Precisely the reason I watch these videos!! Thank you sir.
I bought the 38mm version yesterday but originally went into the AD intending to get a 1926 in Opaline.
I've already got a black BB58 but I'm a sucker for blue dials and this one is another winner from Tudor although it does look to be based on the Rolex Datejust.
If it'd had a cyclops I wouldn't have bought it.
Dam bro. You are killing it man !!
Hafiz is the hands-down best watch reviewer on UA-cam.
Thanks so much for the support :)
Those macro shots are crazy. Btw, will it work with different straps?
Brilliant, as usual, Hafiz. That clasp system is shocking.
It's a great clasp and great watch, I own one
@@user-km5iw8wk7r you mean its good enough right?
@@CharlesAP11 yes it's very good I don't have any problems with the clasp
@@user-km5iw8wk7r thank you!! I don’t know why so much criticism in the coments about the clasp
Each to there own but I love this watch and it looks better in the flesh
Tried this on earlier, it is stunning
I bought the 41mm, this same watch and it's my best watch. I love it.
Awesome review! Thks.
Great video!I have 18,5 cm wrist, should i buy 34 mm or 38 mm Tudor Royal? What do you think?I don't want to risk because i will buy it through the site. Thank you and best regards!😊
Another brilliant video 📹
Great job!
Great video Thank you , not over struck on this watch to be honest, I bet it’s better in the flesh .
Beautiful watch , very tempting .
When wearing the watch, the bracelet can not rise like that and open the flip lock.
Excellent review, I’m strangely attracted to this watch.
Bought this beautifull watch yesterday and it arrives tomorrow can't wait
Do you have Problems with the clasp?
Very good review. Thx.
The dial looks like my Rolex Datejust. I agree, Tutor should have left out the half numeral.
Thanks for the review. I was very interested in buying this watch, but that clasp now gives me pause.
It’s a stunning watch looks far better in reality. Saw it at the jewellers shop and was impressed
Your the best watch reviewer on UA-cam
Interested piece, It’s beautiful.
I have around a dozen watches from Seiko to Rolex and this is my favourite
Currently on a 3 month wait list for this watch. I guess I'm not the only one that is dying to have one.
Yup I got it. Love it!
Nice review, so-so watch
Excellent review
Hey Hafiz, those ball bearings are ceramic on the clasp. And honestly, in terms of longevity they are much better than steel with extended use. Unfortunately, without a full clasp section, it looks like the design of these fold overs is where this one falls short. The black bays have them on their clasps, and they work wonderfully in those bracelets.
Many thanks, Yeah, no issues in clasp system with Black Bay line or Pelagos whatsoever. Thanks for filling me in on the material of ball bearing here :)
@@HafizJMehmood My 1926 has ceramic ball bearings in the clasp and its clasp is flawless. The ceramic when replaced on time also keeps the metal from scratching. Overall I prefer the 1926. It’s more understated.
Just picked this up in 41mm, lovely watch. Any idea if the hands or applied numerals are steel or white gold?
@R A
Bearing in mind the price of the watch, the numerals and hands' material should be a steel (IMO).
I gotta have one!! Black or blue is my dilemma.... I'm leaning black as I want maximum versatility.
Superb watch. Superb video. Subscribed.
Loved it right up to the point where it doesn't have an in house movement. However, I do like it.
Beautiful watch I need one
So the claps is junk? I was looking to add this exact color and size and now I am not sure.
Decent review and watch not a patch on hmt for value though. I like this model and integrated bracelet design is pretty modern yet classy retro harking back to optimistic 70s
Damn I liked that tudor! Back to the perfect sports dressyvsyeel search then!
For the price point, I'd expect something slightly better however, it's a good value for money overall as you say - especially when compared to other SW or ETA movement watches on this type of brand.
Not a fan of this watch, but always love your video.
great review
I think the white ball in the clasp is the ceramic ball bearing like the ones in Tudor divers like Black Bay and Pelagos, not “soft” teflon like you mention. But the design for how it open and close is still so silly and weird like you said.
You could be right. I had no means to test/confirm it but the way it hold the clasp is so slack that I just assumed its not hard enough. But as few fellows suggested, it could be ceramic.
I actually like the cut 3, looks nice to me
I just liked before even watching the video
Thanks so much :)
The date is aligned just fine.
