Excellent presentation and very done putting together all those pieces. I too have studied those pieces and this is my slightly different conclusion: Animals that do not produce their own vitamin C do produce a lipoprotein molecule called LP (a). Animals that do produce their own vitamin C do not produce the LP (a) molecule. LP (a) looks like LDL but with a tail. LP (a) can not attach to LDL receptors. The LP (a) tail looks like Plasminogen which is used by the body to clear damage but LP (a) is used for clotting. Presumably because of the lack of vit-c and the lack of proper collagen formation, LP (a) takes the place of the missing collagen and at least temporarily prevents the breakdown of the blood vessel wall, thus preventing a heart attack. Remember, animals that produce their own vitamin C don’t get heart attacks…

Love your videos. Can you make a video breaking down the difference between taking vitamin C(ascorbic Acid) VS vitamin C(ElmaBerry or Camu Camu Berry/Plant based vitamin C). Thank you making such great educational videos.
Ascorbic Acid is only 1 part of the entire c vitamin, it's almost always synthezised in China and may cure deficiencies but maybe... Taking camu camu or Acerola powder is the fruit version and given its availability online there's no reason to take anything but a good whole c source like camu camu or acerola. Even use recipies to make your vitamin c supplementation turn from a routine chore to drinks and tart desserts that have you accidentally getting your needs, like humans have always done.
Also, things like liposomal and ester c aren't needed for most people or perhaps all people because vitamin c in acerola, camu camu, lemons, etc all work adequately and Vitamin c isn't too tough to get anyways, like calcium most sources work.
if glucose is fighting for the same receptor with vitamin c, then why fruits like oranges, apples and many others contain fructose and at the same time high amounts of vitamin c?
Thomas, what about the diffirence between a whole vitamin C complex and ascorbic acid? I think it's important to mention when advising to megadose vitamin C.

@@PumpkinHalloweed88 Dr. Berg has a good explanation here on youtube regarding vitamin C on how in nature like any other vitamin, it always comes in a complex of diffirent compounds. Ascorbic acid is the outer layer of the vitamin C and contains 4 components. If you buy synthetic vitamin C you're only getting the isolated ascorbic acid. Good natural sources that contain the whole complex are Acerola, Amla, Camu Camu, etc.
@@PumpkinHalloweed88 Same goes for other vitamins. I've been reading some bad things about synthetic B vitamins for example that are being added to a lot of vegetarian / vegan products or are added to multivitamins. There are natural B complex supplements out there for example made from guave, tulsi and lemon.
just a personal assumption: The inside of the rosehip fruit is hairy. Inside the small intestines are fine hairs that are vital for nutrient absorption. I remember 3 situations in which I could have been infected with Covid, in one of them me and 2 friends got together to watch some movies, we slept together in my living room watching the movies. 3 days later one of my friends was diagnosed with Covid, but I didn't get it and my other friend only got a cold. I don't know if it was because of the vitamin C, but ever since I haven't gotten sick anymore.
Good info, thanks. Yes, please do more on Vitamin C. I've been taking liposomal C 1000mg/day for a few years and haven't been sick, age 61. Can you talk about IV C for a therapy against the CV?
Thomas, when you have lack of vitamin C you get scurvy. This is basically the breaking down of the material surrounding the blood. I read somewhere that this is the same for the arteries - lack of vitamin C leads to scurvy of the arteries. You basically get blood leaking through the arteries like your gums. So your body then is forced to clot the leakage. Whats worse, is if you clear out the arteries, using supplements like nattokinaise and serapeptase, and don't have enough vitamin C this can lead to issues of blood leaking again and more clots. So supplementing with vitamin C is essential for heart health - both prevention and repair. You should look into and do a video on Liposomal vitamin C - like the one produced by LivOn. This product works wonders and there is no bowel tolerance.

Lpa saves lives. Most people suffer from chronic scurvy. Micro fractures in arteries would cause you to internally bleed to death. The human body being as capable as it is would rather patch that arterial wall with lpa to stop the bleeding, and then deal with fixing the arterial wall later when it has proper support to do so. That support is vitamin c along with certain amino acids, primarily but not limited to glycine, proline, and lysine. The problem is most people don't ever give their body the proper support. So the the fracture in the arterial wall grows and with that the body adds more lpa to close it and stop potential bleeding. The problem is as the lpa grows with the crack along the arterial wall it also grows perpendicular to the wall. Eventually it will close off an artery completely and you have a heart attack or a stroke. That's the truth of it.

I mega dosed vitamin C for a week and I developed severe kidney pain for two weeks. It’s better now but what was I doing wrong?
Thank you, you've nailed it sir. Wish more people would educate themselves on this amazing vitamin.

if glucose is fighting for the same receptor with vitamin c, then why fruits like oranges, apples and many others contain fructose and at the same time high amounts of vitamin c?

@Thomas, I confirm... Dr. Vyvyane Loh is the smartest person on the planet (and most caring doctor in the world). You're the man for this video ;).
Thomas, what about the diffirence between a whole vitamin C complex and ascorbic acid? I think it's important to mention when advising to megadose vitamin C.
I realize this was a comment you made like 3/4 of a year ago, but would you expound on the differences of the two types of vitamin c that you mentioned? Curious to know what you seem to know already. And in no way is this meant to be sarcasm, or any trollish kind of question. Thank you in advance. 🤗
@@SydneyCooper1 Awesome. Thank you for the information.
@@SydneyCooper1 specifically ones that are added to food, or supplements as well? And what kind of bad things?
just a personal assumption:
The inside of the rosehip fruit is hairy.
Inside the small intestines are fine hairs that are vital for nutrient absorption.
Do you know of any other plant that has feathers in it?
Rosehip can be an excellent food for the small intestines.
The small intestine is responsible for the absorption of vitamins.
Rosehip is a high source of vitamin C.
Rosehip can improve the vitamin absorption of the small intestine.

I have been using vitamin c to treat my cold and skin problem and it always work. Now I am upgrading my vitamin c to Liposomal vitamin c, the research says Liposomal Vitamin c works the best in our body.
Linus Pauling and Dr. Rath did some of the breakthru research on vitamin C
So if I take vitamin C supplements I no longer need to use topical vitamin C serum on skin correct?
Vitamin C is the G.O.A.T. of all vitamins.

I just want to know how much vitamin C to take
Thomas I've been watching you for over a year and your razor-sharp mind never ceases to amaze me. Excellent video with critically timely info. Re: heart disease, I was diagnosed 2 months ago with calcifications in two of my valves. My cardiologist said it's "part of the normal aging process" and brushed me off when I asked her why it happens and how to undo it. I am not willing to become a cardiac cripple (basically bedbound and in pain) so I'm trying every natural approach that makes sense to undo at least some of this. I will be megadosing with liposomal vitamin C from this point forward. BTW, one news report said China has cured several COVID-19 infections using vitamin C. No joke, indeed.

@@miguelmejia4656 no it does not. it helps by reducing inflammation. Essential amino acids and Vitamin c are required to synthesize collagen to regenerate arteries... or anything in our body.

vitamin D - "I'm not different, i'm just ahead of my time"
1,000 IU per day in winter

So it’s said that when using aspirin, it depletes your vitamin c. I would like to see a video comparing popular medication to which vitamin/mineral gets used (ie: statins vs coq10)
How is that sad?
How Vitamin C should be taken? On empty stomach, while eating or away from food?
Is it a good idea to take sforbiciata acid and vit E togheter?

When is the exact time I can take vitamin C thanks
I'm from México. In 2020, during the pandemic, I started to take lots of vitamin C, about 6 grams per day.
Forget eating oranges for Vitamin C I will just eat goat meat.
@Sorcerer scary comment and even more scarier hedge tags.
@Sorcerer no problem I will eat your share
Well, You know of course that the heat destroys the vitamin C. But I think you're joking.
Liver contains vit C too, as well as so many other nutrients. Its the most super of superfoods.
Thankyou
Good info, thanks. Yes, please do more on Vitamin C. I've been taking liposomal C 1000mg/day for a few years and haven't been sick, age 61. Can you talk about IV C for a therapy against the CV?
What brand do you take , can you tell me please?
Hi, thanks for the vod. When is the best time to take it? Can you go for it when fasting/fasted/on empty stomak? Cheers

I’m a Capricorn 🐐 does this help?! 🤣 I drink a lot of green tea.

What vitamin c should we take? Ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate? Thank u for reply god bless u
First second third whatever I'm just happy to be here healthy
What!? This information is mind-blowing!!
I have been mega dosing vitamin c for years especially during times or stress or after surgery. Thank you for addressing this today!
I'm getting pissed off from sodium ascorbate, like really really angry I snap at everything, should I change brands?
Can I have a cup of coffee right after taking my vitamin c ,or is that to much carbs ? I do use sugar In my coffee .also ,do you take the entire amount of vitamin c in one dose ,or do you spread it out through out the day ? Since it’s such a high dose ,and what is considered a high dose to prevent getting sick ?
"Because you are not a goat" How dare you assume my species?! This is not 2010 you know.
Lmaooo
So if you don't eat carbs or breakfast with your vitamin C what do you eat?
Well, the next time someone refers to me as an old goat, I'll thank them!
I want to know if there are any safety concerns with doing way more than recommended?! Nobody is answering this question.
There is no safety concern. Vit C is water soluble so you excrete the excess through urine. Totally safe.
what do you think of the Vitamin C from costco?Emergen-C Super Orange, 1000mg Vitamin C.I am on a fast for 4days now. I am a 55 year old man

Yeah but not the entire body, like the blood(most essential) so really just stomach ph. Tbh just take whatever virus head on for few days and calm the hell down
I get trying to not get sick, a good thing to put time into. But we don't live in the 1800s where any sickness could be serious. Just wait a few days and maybe take some mucinex(and thats for cvid) lol.
