    So stoked to see a yz250 yesterday in Arlington! Talked to Jared and his mechanic Michael for bit. Super friendly, seemed more than happy to talk about their setup. Idk, just 2 down to earth dudes and honestly besides watching the racing it was pretty much the highlight of my day. The bike was just so sick, sounded amazing!! Lol the only thing Michael wouldn't talk about was the piston you put in it. Top secret insider info! They had nothing but good things to say about this engine you built. Got to admire the guys that really put it on the line like that.

    Why don’t we hear much more about the STIC-metering block? Don’t you use them anymore?

      @mikebrown41182 Рік тому +2

      From what i gathered there is a STIC in the carb, so it's there, but i might be wrong, if so HP have to correct me there.
      But again different engine conf package different aproach.

      Hard to say! I think you should consider an off-road model, such as a ktm xcf, or similar.

    Curious about ceramic bearings. I know wheels are an easy upgrade, but wondered if you utilized them for the engine? Lighter is one benefit, but rolling resistance seems like it also could be applied.

      They add no power. Sad but true. Done incorrectly they can cause issues in reliability as well.

      Ford tried ceramic bearings in their diesel turbos for a couple years. Didn’t work out very well.

    Role reversal: The AMA should allow works 2 strokes in the the 250 and 450 classes. Imagine what we would see.

      modern 250fs are ridiculously good - notably factory bikes. Im not sure a full works 250 2 stroke would be any better with a few exceptions in outdoors. but for sx I think the 250f would be better sadly
