I very very appreciate positive comments about my English. No, I am not perfect, but I am willing to be. I am learning a new language. If you were learning Slovak language (as my native language) I'd be very happy and respect your hard work, so I don't understand why people don't appreciate my efforts. If you couldn't understand my speech, I'd understand that, but even native English speakers can. Please, give me a break, I am doing my best. One day I would like to be as fluent as a native guy, perhaps even with a proper English accent. To those who ask I am not going to stop talking, I enjoy that even though it actually takes more time to finish the video. Cheers to you, buddies, I very appreciate you enjoy these videos, I do my best to keep them entertaining and educational. Stay cool!
I understand you just fine, what I don't understand is why people are complaining. Your accent is just fine. I'm trying to learn Spanish as a second language, so I understand how challenging learning a new language can be. Keep up the good work!
I honestly have no idea why people are giving you such a hard time. I can understand you pretty well, and sure, you say a few words a little funny, and I can definitely hear an accent, but I also know plenty of people here in the US that can't speak English as well as you.
VisioRacer I enjoy the videos you talk in more than the ones where you don't! You have such an interesting perspective on cars and a very different taste than many other creators on UA-cam.
You speak English better than a lot of people in California, you're not doing that bad. Keep at it!

Those backfires of the saab were insane
Back to the sweet time backfiring was just a consequence and not the final goal to be achieved
i dont think they were backfires, a 2 stroke expells some unburned fuel right out the exhaust, some even expell unburned fire out the exhaust sometimes that lights the unburned fuel and you get that cool ass flamethrower
"unburned fire"...
That looks like "dry water" rofl

Definitely
Matter of taste, of course! I was waiting for this engine, but I don't know how it sounds:

Talking about the Commer engine, which a friend's Dad used to have (in Karis, Finland).
Sounded vaguely familiar too!
Yes, love the sound of fire truck engines and most of the time you here them at full engine whale!
As an old two-stroke dirt bike racer......nothing sounds as good as a 2-stroke. Love 'em. My buddy and I set up an old Saab two-stroke to race on country roads.......it never let us down. Until you experience a 3 cylinder 2-stroke Kawasaki road bike when it goes into tank slappers at speed, you've never lived.......definitely time from fresh underwear!
The slimplisity of 2 Strokes never ceases to amaze me !
In my opinion two strokes definitely are more fun to drive, especially in motorcycles :D

absolutely!! No question. 2 stroke Italian bike would be my ultimate bike, all restored and in classic red white and green :)
I bought a 2 stroke minibike for my 7 year old son. I thought it would be fun for him to drive round the farm we lived on.

I am not a huge fan of two-strokes, but I admire their advantages. Although actually these ones sound really good. Who agrees?
VisioRacer me
VisioRacer you forgot to put in an rc car 3cc 4hp 40000 rpm nitro beast
VisioRacer two stroke has its place, mostly marine and diesel really. Now I don't know much but are cummins 2stroke?
VisioRacer you missed one of the best sounding 2 strokes a rgv500
some have pretty good hp but still sound like tiny dirt bikes haha
I still very fondly remember my school bus from elementary school. That DD sound is something special.
I would also run after the bus when it took off, cause I loved the smell of its exhaust. (Probably explains a lot.......)
Like a dog chasing exhausts. Really difficult to comply with new emissions regs.
I remember that Kawasaki 500 beast. It was the hottest "cafe racer" in the early 70s, sounding sharp like an old F1 engine. Drivers told me you got to buy a new chain every 3000 km. That beast was reacting to the throttle as fast as a man drinks water after 3 days in the desert.
Your English is better than half the people I know here in California. You are doing great.
David Bolin lol no its not and u know it
Lmao that’s because California is full of immigrants
Lol
BOSS he’s from a Slovakian country. I would like to see you learn a Slovak language.
An interesting fact is that here in Brazil a lot of two-stroke motorcycles are running with ethanol. It's a very common modification here, which can give some extra hp.
Nice video, congratulations! ;)
There used to be an annual classic car event in my city, and one of the regular participants was a white Saab Sonett II like the one in this clip. The sound of it is so spectacular that it got more attention than the supercars when they were leaving at the end of the show... guess the huge plumes of exhaust smoke helped a bit, but it was really fun to see everybody's heads turning for that little car.
The H1 was nor more "evil handling" than any other large Japanese bike of the day. You didn't really want to try dragging knee on any of them, but if you rode like a sensible human being, they're fine. Problem is, the H1 and later the H2 were the fastest accelerating stock street-legal vehicles in the world at the time, dusting all other bikes and all stock muscle cars. On top of that, they were WAY cheaper than the big 750 Honda or any of the hot British bikes. That means they attracted a certain type of rider: young, inexperienced, and crazy. So people died on the triples, for the same reason people die on cheap Craigslist R1s today. Also, when riding one today, the addition of modern tires and shocks make them extremely tame. If you want a Kawasaki triple but held off because of the reputation, just get one. If you're into vintage bikes, they're as good as anything.
Ha ha the "widow maker"...

In 1974 I had one of the rare Wartburg Knights imported into the UK, it was a superb car, well built, well designed, Before the Knight I had the earlier Wartburg saloon which was a very heavy car and for some odd reason because it had a separate contact breaker to each cylinder was very difficult to start, so only had it for a year and bought the Knight which was fine, The 900 cc engine was so good it even towed our caravan around the highlands of Scotland, I still have a unique wheel jack sitting in my garage at home, (going free to a Wartburg enthusiast)
quickly becoming one of my favorite channels. your English is getting super good, and you have an awesome accent! keep up the good work man
Thank you for your kind words!!
Another interesting 2-stroke is the DKW 3 cylinder 1L. It's weak but it sounds like a V6 and it was used in the GT Malzoni (a brazilian sport car from 1964)!
To the best of my knowledge both the SAAB and Wartburg engines were based on the two stroke DKW lump. For more 'interesting' stroker exhaust notes check out the Commer TS3 and English Electric Deltic locomotives.
PS, at the other end of the scale the Field Marshall and Lanz Bulldog tractors, the Bulldog engine can run at zero RPM - honest!

Great video, dude! Two strokes sound great, especially the diesels. You clearly put a lot of effort into your video, well researched and I like that you credited those who's clips you've used. Also, your English sounds great! I'm American and have studied French & Spanish, but I can't speak nearly as fluently in either, as you do in English.

That last Saab was bad ass xD
Unfortunately tuned to the point of losing all of the great low and mid range power those engines had. They were long stroke, old school Euro 2 cycles and they are getting rare as hens teeth, fun to hear, but damn as an owner I hate seeing them abused at RPMs they were never designed to run at.

I had a 1975 Kawasaki 250 triple. With expansion chambers,K&N air filters, and re-jet the carbs, it was the fastest bike I ever rode. I weighed over 200lbs and it went 125mph down a runway at the airport I worked at the time. Wish I still had it.
Dude, I love your channel. I watch every day.
Keep up the good videos! They're quick and entertaining
Trabants also can sound pretty cool I think, but a huge like for starting with the Wartburg! Would you make an eastern block special? I think on this side of the iron courtain were some quite great, or really cute cars!:)
Balázs Bartha I agree. Those cars, like the Warburg,Trabant, Lada, etc. are fascinating. They may have been tin cans, but you could fix them in your bedroom with some screws that you've found in your pocket and they had to survive brutal East European winters.
Also, you could buy them for what would amount to a month's rent in western countries!
I enjoy the voice over as it gives useful pieces of knowledge to the video that you otherwise wouldn't have known if you aren't a hardcore car knowledge connoisseur.
This is extremely well done and I enjoyed your video. I am fascinated by the 2 stroke engines. Your English is just fine. Keep up the good work!
Just to add as a correction, I owned two SAAB 2 cycle cars, a 1962 96 Sedan and a 1965 95 Wagon, both with 850 cc engines. The 750 cc SAAB engine was used only in the 1956 through '59 SAAB 93 models, and a year for the more powerful 1960 SAAB Sport 750. These cars were only 3 speed transmissions, with non synchro first gears. My 36 H.P. 1962 SAAB sedan got 32 to 36 mpg, as long as you didn't drive it for performance, which was better economy than the 40 hp VW of the same year. Part of their getting good mileage was they had a freewheel between the clutch and transmission. JFYI
TaUnc Fester how old r u again
I'll be 60 in March.
But the 95 has an 4 speed gearbox
Yes my '65 95 did have a 4 seed, but the 62 sedan was a 3 speed.
you have forgotten the yamaha banshee!
Abdullah Al-duraibi ....that's cuz the Banshee is junk....
The suzuki quadracer was a damn good quad. Mine needed to be rebuilt so my dad took it to a guy that worked for him. When he was done with it you had to pull start it behind a truck and it was absolutely insane. It was over 350cc when he was done. Cant remember it was originally a 250 or 350cc to start with. I just remember I had no problem burning the tires off on pavement even from a roll and the when the powerband kicked it, it scared most anyone who drove it. That included a few light modified guadracer owners and some pretty heavily modded banshees
No he forgot the trx250r and quadzilla

Manny Hysten That's because both Wankel engines and 2 strokes produce 1 exhaust pulse per cylinder, or rotor, per revolution of the crankshaft, or eccentric shaft.
Wankels are such odd engines. They run on 4 cycles, but produce power more like a 2 cycle.
It'd be cool if there was a 2 stroke wankel

Thanks for this video, very well made. My uncle, God rest his soul, was a Saab 2-stroke fanatic, he built at least 4 engines in his home shop and restored at least 3 or 4 old two stroke Saabs, I loved riding in those beasts, they sounded amazing. His dream was to build a monster 3 cylinder Saab engine with 3 carburetors and higher performance.
What a beautiful noise...
dude all of this engine sounds like a rotary mazda engine some one sounds like a bike and sounds like a Honda engine but as always good video ;-)
Naturally aspirated Diesel two strokes dont work. They are either supercharged or turbo and supercharged. They need the pressurized air intake to be able to run
They do work. They are naturally combined with a mechanical blower. That's their natural aspiration.
Anything with a supercharger or a turbocharger is using forced induction by definition. It can't be called "naturally aspirated", even if this is the minimum needed for the engine to operate.
This is why it is not called a supercharger, but rather a blower.
That doesn't make any sense.
VisioRacer sorry, but from my research, it is actually said that a N/A 2 stroke diesel is physically impossible, and "blower" still means supercharger
I didn't even realize that the Detroit diesel 871 was two stoke. We had those on the tug boat I worked on as generators. We would run those for two weeks straight before having to change the oil. They did have that same sound though, and we ran them at about 1700-2300 rpms can't remember exactly. Very reliable engines.
That little Saab spitting flames, priceless. I love your channel!
-I likes that wittle Saab the bestest of all. Berry good lookin machine. And really does sound pretty good.
Dvojtaky sú zaujímavé motory, hlavne v motorkách sú úžasné, ale aj tak sa mi najviac páčila tá 100rs v 10:40 , išla naozaj peckovo.
Two-stroke gasoline engines: ideal for killing mosquitoes and choking you and your children.
I once rode a Kawasaki H1. It effortlessly pulled wheelies in the first three gears, whether you wanted it or not. The handling was evil, but that engine was memorable. The most memorable of all two-stroke bikes I ever rode was the Suzuki 500 Gamma with its 95bhp square four engine. Very, very fast, race-bike handling and brakes and surprisingly comfortable.
Missing from your list: the Yamaha RD/RZ 350 LC, the Yamaha RD/RZ 500 V4, and the Suzuki GT750 (in Canada and the US we called it the water buffalo, our European friends called it the kettle), DKW 3=6. Now you know what to include in Part 2 :)
Great sound !! Thanks!
