A really good demo. Being able to read the writing on the pedal would have made it even better, but I can cross reference to online pics
This is an unbelievably good demo! You practically forced me to buy this.
+Antti Heiskala thank you very much :D hope you enjoy it!
I am considering buying this for my bass guitar. Would it be a good idea? If not can I get some recommendations on delay pedals that would work well with a mark bass distortion pedal?
Im not sure how this works with bass if I'm honest... I think the TC electronic pedals are used a lot on bass boards though? could look into that :)
Digital delay usually work well with both guitars and basses.
Does this pedal affect your sound when it is in off mode?
@Anthony Hernandez thank you🙂
@@fabiob.7070 what did he say?
@@squiddei6551 am sorry I don't remember, I don't know why his answer is hidden...
You're really making me miss my Echo Park now, should have never sold that thing!
they are great :D have you tried the behringer echo machine?
Nope, but if it sounds *exactly* like the Echo Park, I might be interested ;)
Be warned there has been rumours that they brick out a lot because of the cheap components. The Line 6 seems to be falling in price again so maybe wait a few weeks a buy another on ebay or reverb.
Try it, i have many behringer products and they are very good sounding despite their plastic casing...
I just bought an eventide timefactor and I currently have the echo park, I was thinking of selling it but I saw this video and changed my mind!
You are the reason I just bought this. Wow, this thing is incredibly slept on. Ducking, Swells, Ping Pong, Reverse, Tap Tempo, Slap, Multi? and it’s stereo?! SO much packed into this delay, I couldn’t find a better one for me.
Great! glad you found it :) there is a great behringer clone of this pedal called the "Echo Machine." Its quite hilarious, they have been discontinued and I've seen them reach prices higher than the Echo Park haha! both pedals are incredible
@@RyanLutton really? Wow that’s quite interesting! I’m gonna look the behringer up and hear it out! what do you think about the EHX Grand Canyon Delay? Not the canyon.. but the Grand Canyon, in comparison to this echo park in terms of sound quality and features?
You are right. this is definitely a great pedal. trying to decide between flashback and this one...damn, its a hard one. its more like the DL4. any quality issues with the echo park?
ive never had any problems with the echo park and it is extremely well made! its a tank haha the dl4 is great! and it has a looper! but i hear that they break rather easily.. maybe do a little research into them :) i also have demos of the flashback and flashback x4 on my channel if you want to check those out
+Ryan Lutton thanks man this really helps.
Muy bueno amigo! Tiene mi Like! 👍
This is soooo relaxing... great demo!
Personally I enjoyed the “swell” & “sweep” settings but they’re all amazing
I like this pedal alot. Initially i was using the analog mode. But added a boss dm3 to my board, now have it on tape. I like the random "glitches" on the modulation
OMG thanks for this non talking demo. I have had this pedal unused for years in my cupboard and was thinking of selling it. I'm so glad I saw this as I think I would regret selling it now. Your video has just given me ideas I can try out in the recording studio. !!!!
Its a gem of a pedal :) happy the video gave you some ideas!
Hi 2023 still worth buying used?
i personally compared it to el cap, and couldn't decide which is better.
the problem with echo park is that it compresses the dry signal.
considering replacing it only because of that. and for the fact that the ducking delay can't be tweaked.
Me pregunto si Slowdive utilizó este pedal para hacer Pygmalion, el timbre de las repeticiones me recuerda bastante.
sounds nice as hell for a low-end pedal. great demo, thank you.
Thank you! Thanks for watching :)
I wonder if this would be a better replacement for my D Seed II
I'm glad I kept mine after all these years
yeah m8,its nice but for the money ill stick with the echo machine, btw just got my behringer guitar link, but it wont work with win10,so im gonna roll bak to 8.1 and see if i can get some recording goin.
Regards
John
Thanks for this! helped a lot.
+nate m no problem :) glad i helped!
I have a question: so if you tap your tempo using one of the first three modes, will the delay time nob be doing anything? For example, if you tap your tempo using the normal mode, will it matter if the "time" is dimed or rolled back?
When you use the tap tempo, the pedal uses it as the reference, the nob doesnt matter if is in the min or max, but later, if you change the time with the nob, the pedal will use that instead.
Thanks to this demo, I found the sound I was searching for. Great job!!
Just got one yesterday :))))
How much was it?
Saint Jabroni got one for 100. Won’t find any for less than 90 at LEAST
Saint Jabroni most range form 120 and up
@@KillConLeche Yeah you got it at a good price! Take extra good care of it.
@@KillConLeche I just got mine for 40 bucks at a pawn shop
Is it possible to have a full wet reverse delay with this pedal ?
yeah
I've not found another pedal that does what this one does with reverse delay. Couldn't even get it with the Strymon Timeline. It's something with the timing of the delay and where it starts the delay after you hit your notes. Mine broke and I've missed that effect so much, and have been trying to find it in what I've been led to believe are higher-fidelity pedals... to be honest though, I'm not sure my ears can tell the difference. The only thing that would make this better would be analog dry through, but I don't think that is a problem anyway if going through an effects loop or using in post when recording...
@@taky2686 I feel like I might have tried the Canyon, but not sure. It starts right on tempo and none of the dry is in the repeats. On others, it seems like they have a dry repeat along with the wet, and the timing is odd. Although now that I got a new one I’m having to get used to it again and not sure what I was doing with the timing but seems harder now. I dunno.
What you're looking for is the danelectro back talk
Top notch demo. Thorough tour with no wasted time.
Best delay demo on YT.
Good review man! Great job!!!
Thanks Juan :)
So when is this pedal ever off? The light is always flashing.
a red flash means the pedal is off, the reason it flashes when red is so you can use tap tempo when bypassed. This is useful if you want the delay to be in time when you engage it :)
@@RyanLutton Thanks, Ryan. I understand the pedal turns off when light flashes red. Question is how? How do you get the pedal to flash red? Does it have to be in a specific mode? Specific time to stomp? Specific amount of taps? I've tried several modes, and several different ways of tapping the pedal and I see neither amber nor red light flash. My pedal always flashes green. Maybe it's defective?
@@leascaart oh no! hopefully its not defective! the pedal should flash red when bypassed, when you press the footswitch down you should feel a click, this bypasses the pedal
@@RyanLutton -yup! That’s the trick. Thanks, Ryan. Have prosperous and Happy New year.
Very good demo!
Great Demo man!!!
thank you man :)
THIS OR THE RV6?? PLEASE HELP, INTO POST ROCK ETC..
This instead of the Boss Tera Echo or this instead of the Boss Space Echo?
+Eric Layton I haven't tried either of the boss ones so i couldn't help you there D: the line 6 echo park requires its own power supply tho make sure you keep that in mind :)
@@RyanLutton hi! What do you mean by own power supply? It’s not 9v?
This might be a dumb question, but... How do I put the pedal in dry Mode? :v mine is always with the effect ON
maybe you're not pressing the switch hard enough? It's quite a tough switch to press.. you should feel a noticeable click when the pedal changes from off to on.. hope this helps!
Fernando Marco turn trails off.
gr8 demo btw,you cover everything and explain what your doing, rock on buddy
+John Iain McFarlane thanks man :)
how many mA did it need?
Excellent demo! I miss my Echo Park.
+Nathan Shafer (EchoEchoGuy) thanks man! did you replace it with the dd20? :)
+Ryan Lutton Yeah, the mode knob started going bad on it. Then I got the DD20 which is good but just not the same as the Echo Park. It's a great pedal.
