It's a different story if the pedal isn't available anymore and the company is not around or doesn't make it. But for stuff like the Ibanez TS9, Big muff, Proco rat, and others. It's not right to flat out copy it and many other pedals, toss them into one pedal and sell it

The only gear I've ever had problems with is JHS... the problem being that the owner is such a kind, likable person that even if I don't need one, I want to buy all of them. This is a company that everyone should support!
I've been through a good three or four distortion pedals and the behringer heavy distortion was both the cheapest one and the best sounding one I've owned. The only one I didn't sell or give away besides the DS1 (cause everyone's gotta have a DS1 😂)
If you aren’t touring hard and abusing the pedal the Behringer pedals should be fine. If they are however made by the ChiComs I’d not buy any. At least not more than you already have.
Just sold a JHS unicorn V2 to a customer today and one of the honest selling points I mentioned was how transparent and supportive Josh is in the music community. People appreciate genuineness. I mean, the second I plugged the unicorn in, the pedal spoke for itself and she was sold on it immediately, but still.
@@brownhooque Yeah I really want to gut a moog ep-3 or lower end crybaby and pop the the vintage delay in it and place the speed pot where the pot for the expression part of the pedal used to be for a dedicated spaceship pedal.
About 9 years ago, i bought a Heavy Metal Behringer pedal for less than 30$. I actually wanted a Boss pedal since my guitar teacher was using one but the price was way off my budget ( I was only 16 back then). My teacher said that the only difference between these two is you can basically stomp the shit out of Boss since the casing is made out of metal. 9 years and thousands of hours later, my Behringer pedal still works as good as the first day I bought it.
That's what I keep telling people who bitch about the plastic housing. It's the same plastic they use for power tools. I don't hear any contractors complaining about how weak the housing of their drills are.
back when i was a makita warrior installing comercial HVAC systems, id drop the companys drill off a 10ft ladder & quickly step down 2 steps & catch it & run some screws in. i got quite good at it, heck, even started drawing a larger crowd....... until the owner did his walk-about the jobsite one fine day...
I've been buying behringer stuff for over 10 years. They're even cheaper where I am than in the US, cos I'm in Europe. Like their microphones they make, that are on lists of "best beginner microphones" or whatever, seem to cost over $100 in the US, but I can get them here in the UK for like £30.
as and engineer can confirm that their amps kick all boutique amps in the a.... amazing work. From pedals their phase in metal box VP1, Dynamics Compressor DC9 and that Tube OD are amazing pedals, their mics are great and interfaces for recording are 1st class.
@@SteamvilleQuintet OK it have USB and FP..i have far more simpler only working with USB but that is what i need UMC404HD under 100$. Behringer IMHO got that bad reputation due to plastic enclosures for pedals also when people buy cheep and it is broken they are often angry but they overpay things they tend to find excuses ..for example there are tons of videos for let say guitars up to 500$ and they do bla bla how fret ends are sharp etc but when they do video for some Suhr or PRS that cost 3-4000$ and have sharp fret ends then they say ''it is normal thing and guitar have to be taken to pro for set up'' ☺..Fact is that all parts are made in Asia for pedals, all machines like CNC again Asian, pickups parts everything comes from there so it is a bit crazy to think they are not capable to make 1st class finished product..I don't have the problem to say that open no matter that i'm European, but some of my friends who try to make pedals, amps etc don't like that since the only thing they are left with to justify the high prices are lies more less. To make 1st class pedal in metal box if you make let say 100 of them- parts will cost you for each less then 5$, for pickups is the same situation only builder have less job to do. Then why some products cost 200$ when fer price should be under 50$? Simple human greed, take a look 99,99% of those small builders have no school usually they are musicians who couldn't do anything with musical career but they know very well that guitarists often tend to buy overpriced things due to marketing hype. If you buy some KIT pedal and solder it alone it will be equal with quality as any boutique out there 100%. cheers.
Two of my three pedals are Behringer, they are the TO800 and the SF300 and I use both of them all of the time with the overdrive on and the SF300 on the boost setting and it is AMAZING Update: I now have 3 out of 6 pedals that are Behringer
I scrolled down to type this exact same sentiment. I'd always wondered about Behringer. I'm going to pay more attention to JHS Pedals now and support you when I can.
Josh is a genuinely nice guy and a gearhead, like his subscribers. Not often you see a man who makes his living selling high end pedals recommending great bargain pedals. His love for pedals and music comes through in every video. He has earned my admiration and respect.
Say that someone is trying to decide between a Berhinger or a more expensive, nicer JHS pedal... Josh knows that making this video will shoot the prices of Berhinger pedals straight up, which they did. So now with the Berhinger prices inflated, people will be much more likely to consider the JHS pedal. Clever devil..
You have to be the coolest guitar guy on UA-cam. So much knowledge and you go out of your way to provide positive reviews on effects pedals built by other companies. Thank you.
In one of the other videos, he explains that's basically a function of the chip. Boss was first to the plate a lot, building the first of X pedal stompbox. Other companies wanted to build an X pedal too. So they go buy a palette of chips. Well, the chips have instructions to them. So company B follows the instructions, as did Behringer, and builds their pedal. Well, they wind up very similar. He points out its not just Behringer or company b. Its just how the entire industry works.
Yeah, they're pretty much the same, the main difference is the build quality since Behringer uses high class plastic while boss sticks with cheap metal cases /s
Gibson is shit, if they inspect the Behringer Stuff they would hand over everything Gibson owns to Behringer to apologize for this POS Company called Gibson^^
Has Gibson gone downhill? Last I heard from them was that they were being raided for having “contraband” wood. maybe that was a psyop. What, Behringer city!

I've had a Behringer DD400 for like 10yrs now - never took it off my board and its still going. The chassis doesnt have so much as a crack and of course the sound still holds up
I could hear differences in the harmonics sustain or subtle feedback.... some (at least one) surprisingly seemingly better... I have never liked the behringer brand, but have never tried them either... its kind of a bad "before taste" effect... but every behringer pedal showed here had a great sound.. especially good for the price...
Honestly, the price of Behringer pedals is what put me off trying them in the first place because I just assumed something SO much cheaper than its competitor had to be a dud. This was really informative, and you've got yourself a subscriber. Cheers!
The reason they can make stuff this cheap is because you save design, development and testing when all you have to do is buy a product and send it to your China factory and tell them to make a cheap as possible copy. It’s really no wonder.
@@beelbrother1648 to be honest have you ever seen a video of a guitarist showing how his or her cheap "crappy" behringer pedal snapped to pieces while playing? I i haven't so far. Not saying that they won't but.....

I used to respect behringer however I have come to realise the treatment of its workers and also the way they rip off products and while I will likely be buying their products just because I cannot afford anything else i will be buying second hand as to avoid supporting the company and i think that employee well-being should not be sacrificed to offer affordable products.
I went almost 40 yrs without playing. I recently started again and I am stuck in late 70's still. My son left all his pedals here and I had no idea what most did. Is true. I can tell how good a guitarist is by the guitar brand and color multiplied by her\hiz hair length and color adding the cosmological platform boots spike heel height constant, minus how much blue light is in the follow spots. Add one for every fall off stage without missing the root note as the neck breaks add 100 for knee slide & 1000 for riding guitar as a skateboard, pickups down only!!! OK That is X. Now take how confusing the integral looks and forget it. If they look like you, say their amazing. If they play a harmonic minor say they stole the licks. Forget all that and admit Hendrix looked cool as fuck in those hippy dippy outfits like your mom wore. ROCK GOD is had.
that heavy metal pedals sounded like pure shit. Takes me back to my school days where you couldnt afford an decent all tube amp that kills everything. Roland cube 15 amp with behringer um300 was the shit at age 15 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I bought one Behringer pedal, a delay. It arrived in the factory-sealed package but it never worked once and I tried various new batteries and an adapter. Surprisingly, the signal went right through it. I'm finished with Behrunger. I pulled out the guts use the shell for a $25 ashtray. High-quality guitars, amps, and pedals will last a lifetime. My 30 y/o wah has taken a lot of abuse and it still sounds wonderful. You get what you pay for with music equipment. firearms, and footwear.
For an extra $10, you can find plenty of high-quality "like-new" used pedals on the web from Boss, TC Electronics, MXR, and others. Remember that as soon as you take a pedal home, the value drops to "used". I bought a used faded Gibson LP with Burstbocker pros for $450 and it was in perfect condition. If somebody played it before I did, I sure can't tell. More than likely, some parents for their kid, he had no interest in playing it, and it was under the bad in the case for a couple years before they traded it in for a keyboard or a drum set for their next kid.
@Lynn Collett found the snob right here. 🤣 Ffs, hobbyists have more important stuff to throw money at than pedals. If you throw more money against something that delivers the same result as a cheaper option you're a snob
I have several Behringer pedals and other gear, like mixers and my UMC1820 interface. Most of the gear by Behringer is pretty good. Sure, my Mackie mixer has a great reputation but hissed like a snake when the treble was turned up. In comparison, Behringer's mixers are noiseless. That's why I upgraded to Behringer. Yes, folks, I consider this an upgrade. I am not a brand-snob! I've never had any of their equipment fail. In terms of copying circuits: everyone copies everyone. If people didn't copy and then improve, there'd be no progress - or is anyone saying that whoever invented the car is the only one allowed to make a 4-wheeled transport device?
i have loads of Behringer hardware in my studio, i've used most of it also with pro's and they never say anything negative. A pro will use what he has to get things done, those that say otherwise are the silly keyboard warriors that don't even own stuff like that!
too many people "listen" with their eyes. They think that something sounds better because they can see the label. Or worse, they think something sounds crappy (before you even turn it on) because they don't see their favorite label. Then you go to their place and they're playing a squier strat through through a 15 watt practice amp (just like I would use at home for my "practice" RIG :) )
Vintage Tube Monster was my go to overdrive. It always cut through the mix, strong enough for power chords, and clear tones with full open chords. I only sold it because it was such a massive footprint on my board. I would buy it again without hesitation.
100% the only thing that sucks with the behringer copies is the extremely breakable enclosure but hell if you know how to solder you could still save $100s and put the circuits and knobs in your own metal enclosures
When you said "dead-on" or "replica", that pedal automatically got into my wishlist pedal except units that I already own. I checked my local online store, all the pedals you mentioned "dead-on" or "replica", those pedals would be their best sellers. There's a room for behringer in my heart now just because of you. ✊🏽
I have a joyo voodoo fuzz Octave and it has its place with my fuzz war, I like it for its thinner fuzz with the octave on, really brings The stooges type sound
Used to be the way with Boss really... Only about ten years ago you could get a brand new DS-1 or an SD-1 for about £25, then at some point it was decided that they were now "classic" pedals, and the price doubled. The Waza Craft version is about 5 times more expensive.
I've always been impressed by Behringer circuits. The only thing that sets them apart from other stomp boxes is that they are certainly not stomp boxes, more like gently tap with your big toe boxes. I was surprised to hear that tc electronics is part of the same conglomerate. I usually choose those because they give me the sound I'm looking for in a road ready package at a dirt cheap price point
@@TheCitedAviator still haven't broken one though, so they're built tough enough. Only pedals I've managed to break are my early model DS-1 and my all American Cry Baby.

You are now my guitar pedal Guru. I like that you are humble enough to always recognize other brands and rarely promote your own. For this, I will soon buy my first JHS pedal, the only is deciding which one I want. Keep up the great work and also thank you for opening our ears to artist’s albums I would never had heard of.
I have one and the only complaint I have is if I dial the drive all the way down (to push whatever high gain channel I’m on with out too much color) the breakup doesn’t go away enough. But hell its $30 and it works.
I always come here first for 3 reasons; to get true honest opinions, for the wholesome humor and entertainment, and, usually, a bit of a history lesson too.
This video was excellent! I don't own any pedals and have been overwhelmed with prices and features. This brand is the perfect outlet to try sounds as a beginner! Thanks!
I’m sure all of the Behringer suffer from congested mids , shrilly, icepicky highs and flubby bass whether in a busy mix or solo and dont do well with a Klon in the chain
I love how he just honestly reviews these pedals. It would be so easy for him to bash them since they’re made in a huge factory and there’s no way that any small pedal maker could match their prices, but he doesn’t. I’m gonna have to get some JHS on my board
My brother and I once built a MXR Distortion+ in a project box. No circuit board. Just wires, resistors, capacitors, etc. Used an old Ford floor dimmer switch for the footswitch. Called it the Boner. Sounded exactly like my MXR pedal.
I enjoyed your presentation, being out of the game for a long time playing acoustic I went into electric and didnt understand pedals, so you gave me an understanding of what they are. Braking the bank was not an option your demo gave me a idea what could be attained at little cost great info for the old beginner thank you , I m a little wiser now.
Behringer pedals are great for the bedroom/studio guitarist. I wouldn't recommend someone who gigs often to use Behringer, unless of course, they want to grab a spare to have just in case, which can be practical at that price point. I have to say, out of all of the HM2 clones out there, I think the HM300 is the best one for sound. It's just a shame that if I were to use it to gig, I would probably set it up on my amp to keep it from getting stepped on by stage divers, haha.
I agree. I had some experience with Behringer MIDI controllers and audio interfaces, both mine and borrowed from other people. I had no issue with their usability and versatility, but these devices just don't last long, particularly if you are a gig-oriented musician. Even in my bedroom studio, they didn't last.
This is the first JHS video that i watched over a year ago when i started to play guitar again. Also one of the first guitar related videos that i watched on youtube, never been a fan of guitar related youtube channels, still to this day there are only 3-4 that i follow. I immediately liked Josh, the whole JHS show, his humor and playing. When i started to play and buy gear again i decided that i wouldn't care much about the brand. Sure it's nice to own good brands too but in the end it's all about the sound and the player. Now i see that Josh is the one who made me realize that. I still own pedals from big brands, boutique brands but i also own budget pedals. I recently bought 4 Behringer pedals and they're all amazing. JHS show still remains my favourite youtube channel. Thanks Josh & Co.
I use Berhinger pedals for pedals I don’t use enough to warrant spending a lot on. I’ve been really impressed with some, I’ve actually rehoused a couple that I really liked.
Just ordered an Odyssey and a Vocoder. Got a DeepMind 12 a couple of years ago and it's incredible for the price. There are rumors of a Solina clone in the works and I sure hope it happens.
In my experience, Behringer makes excellent versions of pedals that I want to try out or effects I don't use that often. Their SanAmp clones are killer too.
& vinyl snobs with their 5 figure priced Star Wars turntables with platters heavier than sets of speakers playing records with off center holes. And their 5 figure priced tonearms & 6 figure priced speakers! I fix 'em with a 5/16" drill bit, enlarging the holes so I can center records. Then I tell 'em about using equalizers to fix shitty recordings. They hate "tone controls" & I have dozens, LMAO!!!
They especially hate it when I say I'd love to bring in a Realistic equalizer from Radio Shack that I got at a garage sale for $20 to fix their million dollar systems' midrangey sound. I got a barely used VD400 and UV300 for $25 combined at my local Sam Ash. They're my only delay and vibrato pedals, and I love them both. The UV300 is genuinely amazing sounding, and the VD400 is damn good too
My favorite no excuses story is Brian May explaining how he made his guitar from scrap wood and motorbike parts. Recorded some of the most epic music in history, massive crowds everywhere but no custom shop "guitarl" or special mysterious magical wound pickups. Sure, you don't want gear failing or bad to play but there's so much gear gas elitism they forget about the music.
I don't think you can get more custom shop than having a unique guitar made completely for your own sound and idiosyncrasies tbh. Motorbike parts or not.
Not to say that there are no differences in various gear but to your point I have watched many videos where very knowledgeable people have done blind side by side testing and could either barely distinguish or fail to distinguish one piece of sought after high end gear and another "copy" or cheaper version. They can justify their preferences any way they wish but I would respect it all a lot more if they would just admit they just "like" or otherwise for nostalgic or romantic reasons prefer one thing over another, rather than insisting it somehow IS BETTER in some way. Nothing wrong with just wanting the original or whatever for the history of it or for sentimental reasons. Much like preferring the way a guitar feels even if it doesn't sound as good. If for any reason you play it better or just enjoy it more then use it. I know if I were a touring musician I would prefer the piece of mind of a cheaper part than the worry of losing or something being stolen or damaged that was a rare gem. Precious things are for museums, tools get used, played, and heard. We so often forget that most of these famous vintage items were not so vintage when those recordings and shows happened. They were either relatively recent or slightly old items that were used hard because the musician playing it didn't feel it was precious. It was just another thing and would likely get replaced as soon as they could afford another one. The magical vintage thing of today was just the latest random item at the time. no doubt they wished they had something different and were after a different sound than they had. Hendrix was known to claim he always wanted a cleaner tone than he had. He didn't really know why he sounded how he did. Then everybody else proceeded to try to get his sound that he didn't even want, lol.
Yep. Much love for JHS for this reason. I’m buying his line of Fuzz pedals and a slew of Behringers. Had a Behringer headphone rack that was inexpensive and awesome.
I actually bought the behringer tube pedal because of you it was a different episode but I do love how you give credit to everybody and spread the love I think it's amazing also it's I'm sure the core of your success and will only make you just grow bigger out of the love you spread out everywhere thank you!
I used a whole host of Behringer pedals for a few years on my board before I sold everything to emigrate. I was continually impressed by their capabilities in shaping and crafting the sound I wanted. My only regret was using the inbuilt distorted channel on my amp rather than a dedicated drive/OD/fuzz/distortion pedal. I used the Vintage Delay, Chromatic Tuner, and Vintage phaser alongside a Danelectro Hash Browns, Cry Baby, and the A/B switch for my amp channels. Now I'm getting back into playing music, I'll be scouting Behringer's line up for more tones.
Simon The Magpie I was just going to say that. Got into bending because I don’t care if I break something that’s 25 bucks. Also still use my bend behringer pedals regularly.
I did that to their Bass Overdrive clone. For some reason, I rubbed a screwdriver across the circuit of one, and that somehow killed the distortion. It's cheap AF, so I circuit bend the old one (or use it as a clean boost), and bought a replacement for $25.

@@vladimirpoutine7522 "Nothing wrong with it"
Yes there is. You take a company's product, make a one to one replica, and give it a different name.
It's like if I copied all of the game files for a GTA game, put it on a new CD and changed the cover art and title.
It's a different story if the pedal isn't available anymore and the company is not around or doesn't make it.
But for stuff like the Ibanez TS9, Big muff, Proco rat, and others. It's not right to flat out copy it and many other pedals, toss them into one pedal and sell it
I need to buy a JHS pedal to honor his unselfish presentations of other manufacturers gear.

The only gear I've ever had problems with is JHS... the problem being that the owner is such a kind, likable person that even if I don't need one, I want to buy all of them. This is a company that everyone should support!
Yes its refreshing how he bigs up the competition. Maybe this is the new way of selling! He definitely earns your trust.
Suffer Fools Did you read the rest of his comment?
Jhs is all about the gear world coming together for the musician
I remember the Gear Page or one of those forums trying to smear him a few years ago. Something about his church. People are ridiculous.
We need a "support group" for this JHS problem before it gets out of control.
Funniest part, is that I own 4 Behringer pedals...and ALL of them sound “better” after watching this video.
Confirmation bias.
Zimphire I think most of us suffer from this one way (expensive) or the other (inexpensive).
I've been through a good three or four distortion pedals and the behringer heavy distortion was both the cheapest one and the best sounding one I've owned. The only one I didn't sell or give away besides the DS1 (cause everyone's gotta have a DS1 😂)
Behringer gets a lot of hate, and while every company has a lemon now and again... Behringer isn't half bad at all.
Great pedal I a/b it against a fulltone dejavibe and a mxr and I grabbed the Unicorn it sounds awesome
Pros: save thousands of dollars
Cons: looks like a happy meal boss pedal

About 9 years ago, i bought a Heavy Metal Behringer pedal for less than 30$. I actually wanted a Boss pedal since my guitar teacher was using one but the price was way off my budget ( I was only 16 back then). My teacher said that the only difference between these two is you can basically stomp the shit out of Boss since the casing is made out of metal. 9 years and thousands of hours later, my Behringer pedal still works as good as the first day I bought it.

To be fair, my main complaints about any piece of Behringer gear I've owned, is not so much the performance, but the reliability of the stuff.

There must be SOME reason Gibson could sue them. Maybe because the red guitar’s headstock was not shown during the demo of the Behringer pedals?
Both have the letter "B" in the brand name. Also "N". And "I".
I think that's all Gibson needs these days, yeah??
Whoa! Super, super helpful! The A / B comparison alone is worth the price of admission. Many thx,
Yeah man....same conclusion.
I've used an a/b in effects loops but being able to run two independent loops is super cool.
I use Berhinger pedals for pedals I don’t use enough to warrant spending a lot on. I’ve been really impressed with some, I’ve actually rehoused a couple that I really liked.
Why rehouse? Just to not look cheap?
Probably because the plastic enclosure is less durable than the aluminum standard enclosure
The Super Fuzz is amazing! Probably one of my top 3 fav pedals that I own.
JHS pedals are my favorite not just because they make great pedals but the fact that Josh keeps it real and has a massive passion for what he does.
What Behringer is doing for analog synths really kicks ass too.
Amps too..These bugera amps are almost spot on and way cheaper than the real ones.
Just ordered an Odyssey and a Vocoder. Got a DeepMind 12 a couple of years ago and it's incredible for the price. There are rumors of a Solina clone in the works and I sure hope it happens.
It's a matter of perspective I guess.
What they’re doing for synths is what Walmart and McDonald’s are doing for your local shop.
In my experience, Behringer makes excellent versions of pedals that I want to try out or effects I don't use that often. Their SanAmp clones are killer too.
A) I NEVER thought Id hear you say "I don't have that pedal"
and...
B) Thanks for this video, I love tone snobs getting schooled.
& vinyl snobs with their 5 figure priced Star Wars turntables with platters heavier
than sets of speakers playing records with off center holes. And their 5 figure
priced tonearms & 6 figure priced speakers! I fix 'em with a 5/16" drill bit, enlarging
the holes so I can center records. Then I tell 'em about using equalizers to fix shitty
recordings. They hate "tone controls" & I have dozens, LMAO!!!
They especially hate it when I say I'd love to bring in a Realistic equalizer from
Radio Shack that I got at a garage sale for $20 to fix their million dollar systems'
midrangey sound. They always play some nasally voiced female opera singer's
record to demo when there is stuff by Little Feat, Phish, the Hellecasters, even
the Dead Kennedys or whoever that would demo their systems much better!

@@TheRealSplexy, so what have you been listening to? I bet it's a pretty decent system but
are you using it to it's full potential with good music & at least some tone control? You
can't depend on studios & engineers using God knows what for studio monitors! They're
probably using plenty of tone control besides all the devices studios have anyway.
I bought the Super Fuzz and the TS clone last year for $30 both. Best purchase ever.
Just remember boys, this is the video that is keeping the Behringer pedals sold out and on back order for nearly a year.
It’s crazy!
And they just dropped the price by half at a certain retailer.
It's true I bought 3 of them after seeing this video. Love the Super Fuzz (with 2 positions, and it's really something, Josh didn't talk about it).
The SF300 was already a mess because Electric Wizard used the FZ-2, so that's the doom metal guy's go-to. Fucking impossible to find them.
Two years later and still a number are backordered. They just dropped the price to $19 each so I picked up 12 of them. Full Behringer board coming soon.
I think people noticed it and started trying to spike up the price
I've watched this video several times even though after the first time I bought 12 behringer pedals. They cost me about £250, the price of one 'quality' pedal. I don't feel guilty, I'm learning lots and some ill never stop using. Thank you. Oh a bit late I know but Guy Clark is a legend amongst song writters. Particular songs to listen to, The Guitar, The Cape and a truly world class set of lyrics, Old Friends
i think that's the first time in history a 335 was plugged into a boss hm2...
No conspiracy at work here... I assume the vid got replaced because there was a mute segment starting at 9:58... Super vid, always wondered about Behringer. In fact I really dig this channel, great content, well filmed and edited, informative, funny, you're really good on camera, man. This and TPS, awesome shows.
To true this & TPS rocks .
The funniest part is that I hit that Audio drop out @ 9:58... assumed it was my "still on life support" 2009 MacBook... & refreshed the page, only to be slapped in the face with a 404 XP
They use to be full on trash but wow I've got some gear that's as good as any Peavey PA Gear , the Beringer 2000Watt Bass Head is a Monster just like a Ashdown Bass head it has lots of Power EQ'n points Low, low /mid , high mids & High EQ knobs a Compressor knob a Mute button also switchable via foot switch XLR DI after EQ Compressor….as well as Line out on front two inputs for passive & active inputs a LA2A NY style Compressor knob that really works like NY compression trick it has a Bass boost button & also a bright button & VU meter .$300 new
TPS puts me to sleep. Every. Time.
weeeell @@weedshoes5089 ? maybe part of the answer lies in your screen name? :D
$30 for a Super Fuzz? uh...sold. To Sweetwater I go..... You're a saint, Josh.
The pedal is fun as fuck man, I took a chance on behringer with their VTO and UF300. The fuzz is STUPID FUN!
@Tom Anderson Sweetwater added 6 payments last month! + No credit check
@Tom Anderson 6 payments for a $30 Pedal??

@@Pdnlegs Fuck it why not hahaha
I know this is a old video, but I wanted to mention The Behringer SF300 it has a fuzz mode switch , if you move the switch up and in the middle of 1 and 2 it creates a really cool tone , I’d like to have that effect in a pedal
Not only informative, not only funny, not only not biased, but also a surprise visit from one of my favourite albums in the end?!

Yeah!
Take me down to Behringer city where the chips are there to make effects so pretty!
Please take me Josh!💥🎸
While you're there ask how many employees make a living wage? None other than a handful bosses I guess.

@@HotStrange Conditions vary a lot between factories and sweatshops in the far east. As consumers there isn't much we can do other than prefer locally produced goods whenever possible and avoid products associated with the worst of worker conditions. Conditions within Behringer city have been described as rather bad so I'm not too enthusiastic about Behringer products at the time. That, and the fact that Music Group recently virtually ended their customer support by implementing a new website that is humanly impossible to navigate.
Enjoyed the surprise Elliott Smith mention at the end! That chap was a genius.
Love kings crossing
2008's Figure 8?!? Elliott died in 2003..
Just for the record, I bought the damn fuzz. And I’m starting to like it.
In the 80s I had a Pearl OD-5 Overdrive that was my favorite pedal in the entire world. I lost it. Now used ones are expensive and kind of a gamble. I would love to have that pedal again.
First ever set up i had (about 13 years old) was a Berhinger. The amp and guitar combo. It went through A LOT of abuse and me being a novice learned how to take care of my gear. It was great. The amp had a great sound. Learned my basics on that intrstument. Much love
You’re the man for being so honest in these videos. It’s clear you’re all about the love of the sound and not about all the noise (no pun intended) I am definitely a fan of this channel, and of course JHS. Keep up the awesome work.
I got a barely used VD400 and UV300 for $25 combined at my local Sam Ash. They're my only delay and vibrato pedals, and I love them both. The UV300 is genuinely amazing sounding, and the VD400 is damn good too
Been using behringer stuff for about 15 years, never had any issues with anything I've had from them.
quickly watching before it goes offline again!
Leychen bro same!!! Lol
uh, yeah...
Offline? What's the issue?
@@matthewrtrego There was a bit of missing audio in the first upload.

Their "vintage" line of pedals are pretty rad
I love his enthusiasm towards sound. He is authentically interested in his competitors products..but because he just loves music.
You gotta love how he says “ this is Blue, this is Green.” I just decided to go with my favorite color after explaining that.
@@inspirationalquote3645 Different doesn't justify the cost. Some instruments are complex and expansive to make others are not.
Exactly my point friend! If you have talent and have confidence, Behringer will give the same results as costlier ones.

Me: Watching this episode to save money
Also me: ends up spending hundreds...
Yep. Much love for JHS for this reason. I’m buying his line of Fuzz pedals and a slew of Behringers. Had a Behringer headphone rack that was inexpensive and awesome.
Josh's face during the "but youre sitting there going MORE metal zone" is the best thing on this channel
The best thing with behringer pedals is CIRCUIT BENDING 😆😆
Simon The Magpie I was just going to say that. Got into bending because I don’t care if I break something that’s 25 bucks. Also still use my bend behringer pedals regularly.
Ayyyy, I remember your superfuzz circuit bending video!
I did that to their Bass Overdrive clone. For some reason, I rubbed a screwdriver across the circuit of one, and that somehow killed the distortion. It's cheap AF, so I circuit bend the old one (or use it as a clean boost), and bought a replacement for $25.
interesting do you guys have any good ressources on mods etc.?
just bent my ultra vibrato
I find myself watching Josh's JHS channel more than That Pedal Show. I added a 'booster' pedal to my board thanks to Josh. I LOVE IT!!
Just got a Behringer VP-1, Vintage Phaser. Virtually identical to an EHX Small Stone, and it's fantastic!
Yeah I got that too, no difference to the ehx
Got one, too and the original. Dead on!
Yes, if you do the true bypass mod.
Dude I don't even play guitar but I sat through the whole video and boy this is such an amazing video dripping with 100% pure content and ZERO bullshit. Hats off!
Extra thumbs up for mentioning uli Behringer sourcing and making his own chips, AND Elliott Smith’s figure 8 album 👍🏼
