BUILDING The LS2 ENGINE For My 67 CAMARO And '69 Style WHEELS And TIRES
Вставка

- I bought a 67 Camaro RS for only $6,500 and I'm taking it to LS Fest East. There isn't a lot of time to get ready so we're swapping in an LS2 from J&J Auto Wrecking bit.ly/GoJnJOH
The LS2 is getting the complete Holley EFI treatment and some BRAND NEW HK Wheels as well. I love the way the wheels and tires came out, can't wait for the body work to match the drivetrain!

Thanks for your service Josh 👍👍 10 year British Infantry veteran, sore knees, bad back aching hips but a shit ton of great times!!!!
Ninja's poor tire machine is getting used like the village bicycle.
Does ninja have his own channel like car Wizard?
I'm sure the car ninja well get tired of it sooner or later. lol
@@jmd7244 it is called "Velocity Garage"
Why would a village have a bicycle? It's not like it would fit multiple people?
@@GiannisChristodoulou that's it. I forgot what it was called.
when i get high weight req on tire balance a good trick is to deflate the tire break the bead and spin the tire 180* on the rim fill with air and try balancing again
What's odd is the dot was lined up on all of them and that one tire was wayyy off 🤔
confirm, this trick is really effective. especially with truck tires. Sometimes the tiny inconsistencies in the wheel and tire line up against you. At least that's how the old guy that taught me described it.
@@TroubleBKC yessir excellent explanation
Also regarding 5:30, it's equally likely that the *wheel* is off balance. I had a motorcycle wheel where the heavy spot was opposite the valve stem. You adjust for this by spinning the wheel with no tire. Then you mark the heavy spot on the inside of the rim with a silver Sharpie. For that wheel, you line up the tire dot with the Sharpie mark.
Really enjoying this build JR I'm looking forward to seeing the engine go in. Josh is a good guy you work well together 👍
“Thanks to Garry of RL Carriers” was a nice touch.
Wasn't it Wayne? 3:55
Okay my bad Wayne, Garry, whoever, I am proud that JR made you a UA-cam star.
Now I understand Josh's absence patterns and why he seems to have nothing to do but mess around with cars on a youtube channel when he is present. Cool that you serve Josh.
Two interesting things I learned from this video. Josh is in the military (thank you) and is also apparently a Steeler fan. Hey from Sewickley, PA.
Already liked Josh but now even more of a fan!
Yup, much respect. It appears he is a Master staff Sergeant in the Air Force. Cool
scottcol23 just master sergeant
You guys need to pay more attention. He and Gabe are currently serving. That's why they disappear from time to time.
Pozdrav iz Srbije, Popoviću
Knew I like Josh.. as he is a fellow MSgt in the USAF... (1984-2007 here)
Me too, 1976-1996.
Me too. 1969-1993.
Thank you all for your service. 🇺🇸
E&E 2012-2016
1981-2008.
After seeing the video using the base garage I knew someone was in the military. Josh, thank you for your service. Semper Fi.
Thank you for your service, Josh. I appreciate you.
To the military guy, Thank You for your service.
By most peoples standards, getting wheels and tires is a full build.
Edit - Thank you Josh for your service!
12:29 Got my OSHA Approved Flip Flops might be my new favorite quote from this channel LOL -- good stuff.
"My flipflops" are words that will never come from my mouth.
Got them from RichRebuilds.
steven reynolds to each their own :)
Ragy Nuhk thanks! I’ll have to check that out.
@@stevenreynolds2327 only at the beach...hate sand in my real shoes
I just started watching your channel and seeing Josh in uniform gave it an instant like. Thank you very much for serving and making this country great. Also a special thanks to all women and men in uniform.
Thank you for your service Josh!!
Josh is a MSGT! What's his AFSC? I was 45750B, B52 Crew Dawg @ Wurtsmith AB from '88-'92. Love this car, my favorite so far JR, & thank you Josh for your service!
Josh! Thanks for your service!
Our Country is lucky to have men and women like Josh in the armed forces. What a valuable man he must be in his unit.
Thanks josh for your service! John cant wait to see that motor purr buddy!
Those would look great on a '68 Riviera
Definitely a Buick wheel.
Also pretty much a dead ringer for the Magnum 500 wheel from the late '60s Mustang.
I was thinking that or Boss 302.
Tony I was about to say the same. Boss 302/351/429. Hell, even a 69-70 Mach 1
Can you say turnkey? I knew you could!
Thank you for your service Josh.
Thank you for your service, Josh!
Thank you for your service Josh. You and JR work well together.
I used to work for Rick's Camaros. They specialised in 67-69 Camaros. Rick had every Indy model Convertibles on the front line. You could rebuild as stock, better than stock and show quality. He sold out to Year One one his wife got sick. Nicest man you would ever want to meet.
I love how much fun you guys are having with this! Keep it up!!
stoked for this build! Good luck
Didn't realize Josh was Military, thanks for your service sir.
Thank you for your service, MSgt Josh!
Looks like Josh made master since last time I saw his ABU’s. Congratulations MSGT !
I saw the SGT stripes but wasn't sure what exact rank. Thank for pointing it out. Air Force Master Sergeant. ( looked it up to verify )
That’s what I thought too!
Best build yet. Thanks
New socks and shoes!
(rims & tires)
Johnny, thank you for your service, Sir.
Love this project! Keep up the great work guys. The tire wheel combo look fantastic.
Thank you Josh for your service 🇺🇸!
Josh and Gabe...Thank you for your service.
First time I've seen you in you USAF (MSgt Bantam) ...Uniform!! Go USAF!! (Retired CMSgt here) Love the Channel - watch every segment!!
I really can’t wait to see where this build goes. I’m intrigued!
The way you get these out so fast is absolutely great. Im an engineering college student and every night I get back to my dorm and have a little snack at my desk around midnight and the night is always better if there's a WatchJRGo video.
Huge "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE" to Josh
Thank you for your service Josh!🇺🇸💪🏽
The wheel an tire combo is awesome
Thank Josh for his service.
You are a one handed mechanic machine! Never fails to impress me how you hold your camera in one hand and work with the other. Mad skills!
I'm sure if the body, engine and trans were hashed, I'm betting the suspension and brakes need completely rebuilt
Shouldn't be worrying about tires - rollers are adequate for now, body should be on a rotisserie
We need to spend tens of thousands of dollars on this thing to get a sound body and mechanicals.
So, the first thing we need to do is...PUT NEW TIRES AND WHEELS ON IT, even if the stuff we mount it to is going to change!
*Facepalm*
C'mon man!
That's Hoovie shit!
@@PhotonHerald He doesn't have much time to fix the car, only around a month if I'm not mistaken. In the last video he said that making sure that the parts arrived at the perfect time is one of the biggest hurdle. Therefore he works on parts that arrived the soonest, in this instance it was the wheels.
@@PhotonHerald if I had to keep messing with the compressor to air up the old tires just to push the car around, i'd have put the new wheels and tires on it too.
My 79 trans am was used and sat for 10 years and needs a full suspension rebuilt I can only Imagine how shot the suspension is
That wheel is PERFECT
That intake.....cargasm.....
Can't wait to see that beast all set up.
The car is looking sharp already with new wheels & tires! I bet it will look even better all finished.
Another LS swap So new and exciting!
I didn’t realise your buddy was a military man. From one Royal Air Force injured veteran, thank him for his service.
Thank you for your service Josh you are appreciated 💪🇺🇸👍
MSgt Josh thanks for your service Sir...Good video..
always wondered why I liked you guys so much, now I know why. - Hello from an Aussie ex-serviceman
I was Jonesing on this car before... I'm seriously drooling in anticipation now.
Great build love it
The wheels look like the Magnum 500 off a Mustang or the old Buick Rally wheels which is in the era of when the Camero was made. Great Video and can’t wait for the next video, Stay Safe ✌🏽
Wheels are cool. Look like they should be on a Buick
Yeah, or a Pontiac, or a Ford. I didn’t think Camaros came with Magnums?
I agree...........
To me, the wheels look like a modern interpretation of the Chevy "SS"" wheel that came on a lot of Chevelle's & Camaro's in 1969 & 1970.
My 70 442 had similar looking wheels too (only 14" of course). A whole bunch of cars in that era had similar wheels.
You beat me to it. They look like the 15” Buick wheels that were on the Riviera in the late 60s......
Youse 2 work great together keep up the good work
Military people are used to making things fit, especially stuff like fitting Camaro tires inside a Prius without breaking the glass! #hooah
AVE would be proud of your job opening those lug nuts.
Those rims look like the mustang mach 500 rims. They look awesome on the Camaro! Nice choice.
IGK, you need to replace 60% of the body panels and rebuild the interior, it would seem like you probably won't need wheels and tires for months. But I do understand the excitement of getting new stuff.
man,i love this build! great job!
Wait till you take your first drive, nothing feels like a vintage Camaro . . . there's just this weird sense of command or something. Stuck with me after all these years. Thanks for the fun now and to come.
all old cars feel that way actually.
Sometimes you can deflate tire and spin tire 180 then reflate tire to correct balance weights
I love his channel allready this Camaro build is very exciting to watch
Dude you had some awesome transitions in this episode keep up the good work!!
That intake is cool, looks like a third gen EFI.
Loving this build brother
Good choice on wheels, after seeing that intake, your going to need a finned valley cover to make it look right
Good looking rollers. Well done!
Love the extended episode! 👍
One thing keeps coming to mind; that scene from the movie Christine... I can hear Darnell in the distance saying "Look Pops, the kid's put brand new wheels, tires and wiper blades on a rusted out car...The kid's got good hands, but..." XD
That was a fun episode guys... i love the 20 minute ones... makes it worth sitting down for a while to enjoy the credit card shenanigans..lol..
Tires are wheels look great too..
Love those wheels!!
The wheels look great! 🤘
Love the wheels great choice.
Looking forward to the next one... 😁
I love how Josh works in flip flops!
I really like the choice of wheels. It is going to look wicked when it is done.
whoa scene cuts! fancy!
I was wondering when you were going to do one of these. I just finished my 1969 AMC AMX 390 WORK OF ART. I WANT TO GIVE YOU A BIT OF ADIVISE. Never let it get you down, power through. This is a lifetime investment that will always go down in your family PRICELESS. ONE thing I learned, do ever go cheap and never let it sit. Love it. Neal
nonchalant, walks in as a master Sargent in the air force. Nice!
Them new rims are sick ASF, great choice, and that motor, man this is gonna be a dope ride when it all comes together, I'll be watching all the vids on this one ,Liked, StaySafe
Wow those wheels are perfect on that car
LOVE those wheels!
Nice project!👍 Looks like I’ve missed a few of your vids.
You guys have so much fun building this car...make me wanna just walk to the garage and just check something on my car lol...
should have tried rotating the tire on that rim to see if you could reduce the weights required.
Those are gonna look good!
I LOL when you opened the packages with the saw. Then thought good idea, then thought with your luck, you will cut off your fingers.
I like your package opening tool. Nice
Great video
Josh got promoted! I think he was still a Tech in the last video in uniform. CONGRATS...
Better than Christmas morning.
Thank you love the car.
Ninja has a new employee...except no pay and occasionally works on his own stuff. Haha. "occasionally". Good trick for the locking lug nuts. I hope I never need it.
Those wheels are REALLY awesome!! Nice pick!!
Even though I think he should restore it to original....
I HAVE TO THANK JOSH FOR HIS SERVICE FOR KEEPING US SAFE.....THANK YOU

Camaro is looking Good👍👍👍👍👍
I like the wheels. They suit the 60's muscle car but have a modern edge to them.
Wheel choice I can AGREE WITH. Oversized factory replicas look awesome
Dayyyyum sweet wheels
This car is gonna be sick
