Love the video! I'm halfway through the same upgrades but with QA1 arms. The video is a great tool, don think I'd try this with out some sort of You Tube magic. lol. True North Firebird
22:38 From the 1970 Camaro Supplement manual since I have a 70. When you spin the rotor, torque the nut to 12 lbs ft. Then backoff the nut one flat and insert cotter pin. If the slot and pin hole do not line up, back off the nut an additional 1/2 flat or less as req'd to insert the cotter pin.
You guys did not replace the master cylinder & install a proportioning valve ?this camaro had power drum brakes which has no porportion valve ,the distribution block has to be replaced with a porportion valve & power disc brake master cylinder.
I replaced mine with brakes and suspension from a 78 olds. This gave me disc brakes instead of the old drums. Replaced the sway bar with a custom made 1.25" bar.
This could be the best coil over install video on the net. Just one question though. Are those lower control arms rated to support vehicle weight at the lower shock mount bolts? Are they reinforced? Great video. Thanks!
Don’t forget to breakin (bed them in) the pads 1st before doing any hard stops. There are different procedures online where you go at different speeds then apply the brakes to a certain MPH then repeat.😊
Those control arm pockets are not designed to take the stress and impact of a coil over. This is COMMON knowledge of anyone running hard driven car. You will regret it.
Question ? Why would you put stock control arms on a coil over kit. Makes no sense to me . If Your going that far , why not put stronger tubular control arms ? Those coil overs are going to hammer those stock control arms
7:06 I know the video is old but I’m sure you have made enough $ by now to afford better lighting. Come on guys.😂 Looks like your using a tiny flashlight.
Great mechanic . Not only because your good with your hands but because your good with explaining
Must be so nice to work on rust free Cali cars. Very jealous.
I’m going to do this to my 1967 Firebird, your video was very well done and very informative! Thank you!

Don't get all crazy with it 🤣 great vid guys
Safety cables are factory.
Might should talk to ppc about the proportion valve, just might need to get one for the disk break conversion
Buen video. Gracias
what about the proportioning valve? did need to change it due to drum to disk?
So freaking jealous bad ass car. I love the content the jokes that he's gonna throw out on windshield lol
Haha he was trying to throw me out
What happened with the jri shocks and coilovers in the previous video?
That’s for a different Camaro

Your correct. The stock lower control arms are not strong enough for coil overs. He will find out the hard way.
Qa1 reps told me you can use these coil overs with stick control arms
What's with the proud camaro owner crap. And it's jounce not joust.
Hello, good morning. If you can send me the description of the coilovers so I can buy them, thanks.
What size were those rally wheels?
15”
Thats the wrong caliper. The hose isn't routed like that.
