By no means do you have to support but Mrs. Gibson and I really appreciate the support as it goes a long way since most of these videos are copyrighted or blacklisted by YT. Lots of time goes into recording, editing, researching, and providing encouraging words throughout each reaction/review so this is an OPTION for those that are able to do so. DO NOT if finances are tight and priorities need to be taken care of first.

D-GiBBY you should react to “the ghost of you”
You should react to teenagers by my chemical romance
Can you do a reaction to pray for me by from ashes to new
So since you were asking about what the black parade is...
The song is about a patient who is at a relatively young age and dying of cancer. One of the patients fondest memories is one summer when his father took him to see a parade at an even younger age. As the patient dies, death manifests itself as this extremely powerful memory/image that is so dear to him. So this black parade is his passing into death. The bodies along the sides are supposed to be the people that failed to "lead the broken, beaten, and the damned." The dad believes in his son to be strong and able to finally be someone to lead these lost people in their death, even if the son doesn't believe he's strong enough himself.
The entire album is actually based around the concept of this patient throughout various songs.
FACTS!!
🤯
WOOOW !! I used to listen to this back in high school 10 years ago and never realized !! What an incredible piece of information.
Having just recently gone through stage 4 cancer myself and the ample time I’ve had to contemplate my own mortality, this song has been forever changed for me. I fucking love this band!
Couldn't have said it better myself!!
"Is this gonna be dark and depressing or uplifting?"
Yes
Fitting answer to that question.
All of it
Planned on dropping that down here lmao
Brad Huff wrong grammer
Dark, depressing or uplifting
That’s the beauty of this album. It’s what separates it from other music in the genre at that time. It was self deprecating and self loathing but it was also uplifting and empowering.
This looks like a 35 year old Dustin from stranger things
This comment ruined so much to me now. Lol
Darth Jar Jar Bri Dustin likes mcr too! He was wearing an mcr shirt once!!
Holy shit you right
OMFG, this made my day 😂👌🏼
I was about to say that, you're a year ahead of me
Your final MCR song react should be “Famous Last Words” it’s an instant classic...
Ignacio Lopez yessss i’ve got lyrics tattooed on my arm
Ignacio Lopez awesome suggestion🔥🤘🏽
Ignacio Lopez my favourite. Song. Ever.
Easily their best brother
they just got the band back together lol
The Black Parade is a fantastic album overall. One song you would LOVE from it is "Mama". That shit goes H A R D
I second this! The Sharpest Lives, House of Wolves, Famous Last Words, This is How I Disappear, Dead!, I'm not Okay
I third this !
Cancer is a tear jerker
For real
I'd say "sleep".
5:13 That's Mother War.. the two other girls are the twins Fear and Regret.
Actually everyone in this video has an identity.
The main character it's called The Patient, he died of cancer and his fondest memory is his dad taking him to see a marching band, so, death comes and takes him in that form. Gerard (the lead singer) believes that death will take you in the form of your happiest memory.
The entire album is a concept album, meaning, every song has to come with the other creating a big story. It's really amazing, you should listen to all of them..
I seen them in concert when black parade came out and they did such a great job making sure that story came through still 🎶
G-note: exists
Me: alright I'ma be back I have to go get more eyeliner and join the black parade
Loved the lyrics. The music reminds me of a goth style Queen song.
The Bohemian Rhapsody of Emo Rock
Eric Draven it’s inspired by Queen
@@devynkrystek3080 That explains it 😁
@@richard6200 Exactly what i say. Its the "Bohemian Rhapsody" of the Emo Generation. Real Art for sure.
Inspired by Queen for sure. The whole album has a lot of Queen, David Bowie, and some Smashing Pumpkins influence in it
Please react to “I’m not ok I promise” or “teenagers” from my chemical romance they are positive and happy songs
Lol😂 positive and happy song ok sure about that
Great suggestions!!!
You know Teenagers is about a school shooting, right?
Ohhhh, you're a funny one aren't ya?
😂😂😂
Hey! I'll explain the meaning behind this song! (Or at least the most agreed upon explanation). Gerard Way (The Singer/lyricist/I guess tambourine player?) Was hellishly afraid of dying for a very considerable amount of time. And this song was his way of getting over that fear and reassuring himself that everything would be okay in the end. (Which he needed at the time because it's evident that he was not mentally-sound during this period of time in his life).
Pretty sure the entire "Black Parade" album is his time with cancer. and going through Chemo and such. You are right he wasn't ready to die but wasn't sure if the cancer would take him. You can almost follow the whole Cancer part of his life throughout the entire album. Extremely touching when you piece together what he went through at this time in his life.
I thought it was his dad who had cancer and that this song was about him.
Gerard Way now lives in the LA area and works for DC Comics as a writer. Which what he was doing before putting together My Chemical Romance. I think he broke up the band due to issue with his health physical and mental.
The album was a concept album, so it was basically the story of a patient with cancer and how the patients views n life and death evolved. I would explain the whole timeline but I’m too lazy. But basically, “the black parade.” Is how the patient views death. He doesn’t see death as a heaven or hell, sees it as a black parade.
At least that’s what I think is true but...
My Chemical Romance - Famous Last Words
Listen to “Famous Last Words” by MCR, it’s my absolute favorite song, it gave me the strength to carry on in some of my hardest moments.
THE XETA CARRRRRYYYY ONNNN...
My chemical romance- THE GHOST OF YOU!!
Pls react to that! Keep grinding on these vids bro!💯
SpaceMonkey YESS
YAS
I'm so happy to see you reacting to my favorite band~ MCR has been a huge part of my life since I was a kid and I'm thrilled to see you reacting to them with such a warmth and understanding that I usually find lacking in some others I've watched 😊 I look forward to seeing more~
You have earned a sub here, my good sir~
People have probably already commented this but: this song is part of a very theatrical album. The album follows a dying/dead cancer patient who is in his thirty’s. This song is him dying. My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way said that he believes death comes for you in the way you subconsciously want it to. It comes for you in the form of your strongest memory. The patient’s strongest memory was his father taking him to see a parade in the city and so for him, death comes in the form of this black parade to take him to the afterlife. The album follows him as he fears he’s going to hell, looking back on mistakes he made, saying goodbye to his lover and confessing to his mother that he should have been a better son. This album is their most known album including their top songs, Welcome to the Black Parade and Teenagers. I love this album and this band with everything I am.
The song is about a character called the patience that dies from cancer (also one of there songs from the album). Is greatest memory is when his father took him to see a marching band. Basically it talks about how the father believes his son can carry these people on to death even though the son doesn’t believe he can. The who album is about the patient and his journey.
The songs in the album are
The End.
Dead!
This Is How I Disappear
The Sharpest Lives
Welcome To The Black Parade
I Don’t Love You
House Of Wolves
Cancer
Mama
Sleep
Teenagers
Disenchanted
Famous last words
Blood-Hidden Track
There’s also “Heaven Help Us” from the “Welcome To The Black Parade” too (there is a “black parade” album and then a “welcome to the black parade” album). Plus the songs “All The Angels” from the album “The Black Parade/Living with ghosts” and “My Way Home Is Trough You” and “Kill All Your Friends” from the separate Famous last words album
I NEEDED A G-NOTE ALEEERT!!!!!!!
MY HAIR, OH NO IT'S BACK
Maaaan this brings me back to 8th grade. Still have this song and Black Parade album memorized cause I listened to it religiously back then. Of course that was 13 years ago but good music never leaves your memories.
So happy to have some "emo" reactions. MCR, Taking back sunday, brand new, etc. We could have some fun with their reactions. Not to mention some old school Jimmy Eat World, or Get Up Kids, etc. (Im not going real old EMO, it would scare these reactors).
Its the emo anthem!
Darren Parrott wish my grass was emo...so it would cut itself. Lol
@@luiswiley372 oof
Anthem? Certainly. Though I do share Gerard’s sentiments toward the band being categorized as emo.
Love your reactions man. You can tell they're actually genuine. 🔥 🔥 🔥
The best My Chemical Romance song is "Famous Last Words" you will not be disappointed...react to it plse!
It is a rock opera centering on a dying character with cancer known as "The Patient". The album tells the story of his apparent death, experiences in the afterlife, and subsequent reflections on his life. It is the band's only studio album to feature drummer Bob Bryar before his departure in 2010.
There is your explanation
please reacting
1. Pierce The Veil Feat Kellin Quinn - King For A Day
2. Avenged Sevenfold - A Little Piece of Heaven
Gibby Gang from 🇮🇩
Ashiappp
Wage War - Gravity .. juga bagus broo
A little piece of heaven will fuck him up big time.
'a little piece of heaven' is a fucking masterpiece haha
The album to me is a rock opera. It's someone dying from cancer in real time. And i would love to see what you would think of the song "Mama". But do yourself a favor and give the whole album a listen. It is a work of pure art. Looking forwar to your next vid. Stay up.
The singer and bass player are brothers. Everyone is still in the band except the drummer, he left shortly after this album. They weren't together for about 6-8 years but got back together in 2019 and was going to do live shows until the pandemic.
Haha, I knew you’d love this one... an incredible anthem. A couple of others I know you’ll love: Teenagers, I’m Not OK ( I Promise), Na Na Na, and Sing. The last two in that order because the videos are connected. I know these songs will bring out the Gibby glasses😎😎😎😎
I don’t know why watching him react to my favorite band like this brings me so much joy but it does. Thank you for this.
And a metal head was born
My Chemical Romance albums are essentially rock novellas. Each had a theme and a story as an album from start to finish.
When you wish MCR really was back in the building..
lol they are
Wish granted
i love that the age of reacting has helped mcr get more fans. they're really such a great band!
This was probably the best time to start an MCR related reaction playlist since ya know.... They're back now
"Thank You For the Venom" is prolly my favorite MCR song.. check it out personally, it's a good track..
I had heard one time, that this song was written in memory to those who died during 9/11. The back drop is new york and the parade float is symbolic of macys day. If you look at the sky around him, this is ash and debris flying. There is also metal rubble around the road as the float passes by
"Welcome to death big fella" I'm dying LOL
It's the passion I get from rock and metal bands that keep me with the genre. Better to be left behind by society and stand by what you love then to give up, give in, and never have that passion again.
This song always picks me up it is one of those songs that I’d listen every time I felt stressed at work so I’d go off for a quick break from my computer screen and listen to this song. I’d come back always feeling better. Was obsessed with MCR back when I first was a fan in 2005 seen them live 4 times and the last time I saw them in 2011 was their best performance I’d ever seen as Brian May from Queen came out and played with them - did one MCR song and one Queen song it was incredible.
Damn dude, your giddy smile around 7:17 is exactly why this band will always fuckin rock out. Doesn't matter who you are, if you like good rock and good lyrics, this shit SLAMS. Always love your content dude.
“is this gonna be dark & depressing, or uplifting?”…YES! In all the best ways possible!!
Just watching your reaction to my favorite song makes me remember when I first heard it myself....this band played a crucial pivotal role for me during elementary & middle school days 😌
Us: so what emotions should we feel while listing to this
MCR: yes
bro FUN FACT: the person who plays the character of the patient is a well known actor probably his most known role was in mars attacks! his name is lukas haas. look him up! AND WHEN YOU SAID WHAT IS THAT? I THINK YOU WERE REFERRING TO MAMA WAR. THERE IS A SONG BY THEM CALLED MAMA. LISTEN TO IT AND YOU'LL KNOW WHO SHE IS
Well we can saw that once you hear the black parade you officially become a my chemical romance fan
Not true. You can like a song by an artist but hate the artist
@@cryptozex9192
Actually at about 4:25 he says that he is a fan, so boi. Shush.
Teagin Kaffenberger I never said he wasn’t a fan. I just said you can like a song but you could hate the artist. Maybe read before you comment
So the meaning of the song is complicated bc it’s the 5th song in a concept. But the black parade is basically what the patient sees death as. He thinks that people, when they die, join the parade instead of going to heaven or something. The concept of the album is that the patient finds out he has cancer, and it explored how the patient feels about his life and his love. Starting with “the end” and “dead” to symbolize how he was resentful of his life and how he thought no one would care that he died. Ending with “famous last words” I think. To show how he accepted his death, and or how he wants to fight for his life.
The lady is “mother war” and is better explored in “mama” I don’t know the full story behind her but yeah
I’m a mess. I shouldn’t know this still this song came out way long ago
Listen to Na Na Na next it's way more up-beat and less dark and depressing
Famous last words- my chemical romance
I came to your channel because of a specific song, I liked a few for your fun reactions, but I subscribed because you will pause in the middle of some of your reactions to give enthusiastic, intelligent, and uplifting analysis. Good shit.
Haha, MCR brings me back for sure! Since you like smart bands Gibby, then you should dive into Muse's catalog.
Songs to get you started:
1. Uprising
2. Time is Running Out
3. Supermassive Black Hole
4. Map of the Problematique
5. Starlight
6. Plug in Baby
7. Knights of Cydonia
8. Hysteria
With my fav Band and song ,u just got a new sub, thank you
Stabbing in the Dark - Ice Nine Kills!
It’s all about Mike Myers 🔪
You've come a long way man. Happy to see how much new stuff you're into now
He wrote it for his grandmother. He was angry at himself for not being there for her her last year of life.
Bro. This is by far my new Favorite Reaction Channel. 🤣🤣👍👍👍
Not gonna lie, was hella hesitant to start watching you just because there are too many reaction channels on here but I think it's safe to say that you are hella unique in how you present yourself and how open minded you are to other genres that are usually frowned up. Here's a sub my guy.
Yea yeaaa
I've been following you since that Helena vid keep it uppp 🔥🔥
I like that The Black Parade gets the press for being the depressive album but its actually the only one of theirs that ends on a hopeful note as Gerard has said he's come to think that The Patient survives in the end....plus Mikey's medal for dying in Th Ghost Of You is epic lol
You’ll be sweet if you react to Red Hot Chili Peppers
Give it away or Dark Necessities
Or whatever song because basically all their stuff is awesome
ooooo I like this request. Dark Necessities is a funky jam
Austin Wiebel You can say that again
I agree he will probably love Red hot chili peppers lol
I second this request. Can never go wrong with RHCP. Their discography has something for everyone, in any mood.
Late again.... The big haired woman in the gas mask is "Mother War" and her two (asian?) offsiders are "Grief" and "Misery" where you stopped to read the sign and placing the medal on the newly deceased.
G NOTE TRIGGER WARNING!!!! 😂😂😂
OK so the lead singer (gerard Way) ended up writing comic books and one of them ended up as a netflix show (and I love it) but the theme song they did was one of my favorte in 2 other versions and I like this one too so IM gonna lik all of them PS THE SHOW WAS AWESOME Original version................ ua-cam.com/video/bnZdlhUDEJo/v-deo.html COver (80s the Bangles) ...................... (awesome version BTW) ua-cam.com/video/TxrwImCJCqk/v-deo.html.............and Gerard's version ............ua-cam.com/video/ZTCrqXpKHec/v-deo.html...... Fuck it I would recommend doing them all because they all rock for different reasons in different time frames
Also the movie footage from the bangles features a really young Robert Downey JR back when he was a major addict (PS he still was a good actor but Im glad he kicked...because DYING sucks you know)
He should do this with 'DESTROYA'...
I S T A N
"I dont love you" is an AMAZING song. Also "the ghost of you". Hell, react to them all!!
This is prolly the emo anthem of all time
I think Not good enough for truth in cliche takes that award. By Escape the fate :)
ghost of you! by my chemical romance. it costed over a million dollars to produce the video and tells a story with the song. by the way very nice reactions!
“Save yourself and I’ll hold them back” by MCR, “youth and whiskey” by black veil brides “with ears to hear” by sleeping with sirens
Lamees Dumas BVB ❤️
Now that you know about Gerards greatness as a singer and composer, you need to watch a Netflix series based on a comic book created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. "The Umbrella Academy" ☂️
Y E S
Big agree.
Do a Jimmy Eat World - the middle
The Black Parade is a concept album, and yes it talks about death, as something that is part of life, thus inevitable. To better understand read Mikah Johnson's comment, then just chill, listen to the lyrics and enjoy this masterpiece. MCR will always carry on and if you like the charismatic frontman, Gerard Way, check out the Umbrella Academy on Netflix. Also, check out Frank Iero and Ray Toro. Last thing, if you like poetry, go on their Instagram accounts and read what they say about their significant others. So cute
Wow man, just wow! I had goosebumps since that drum beat. The flashbacks of jr high and the emo phase from all teenagers from those years. If I'm not mistaken, this song is about a patient that is dying from cancer and tells the story of how death is coming for him.
"Is this gonna be dark and depressing or uplifting?"
Yes.
MTV did a "making of" for this video. It will explain the characters and symbolism
this is like the goth kid's bohemian rhapsody lmao
You should react to "Emperors New Clothes" by PANIC! at the Disco! Brendan Urie, lead singer of PANIC! Is heavily influenced by MCR and they're so good!
only request is blood by in this moment . keep up the vids fam!! I ran into your channel you keep it hype love it!!
Heavier stuff but I'm telling you..... suicide silence- unanswered is an absolute BANGER
haven't listen to this song and hated it for ages because it was overplayed. but having not heard it for about 10years made me so happy and appreciate this song again. and his reaction was the same as when I heard it the first time
Hell I just saw them live 2days ago in California and they played this song
Gotta end the trio with 'Famous Last Words'
“Oh my”
That’s what we came for lol. Bravo.
I just found out my Dog died so I blasted this song in my car in memory to Ronnie. Reap in Piece little guy
check out their songs : Dead, House of wolves, and mama :D
This song, tells the story of a young man who dies from cancer
I've watched that video 100s of times and I've never once paused to read that sign
That CD is great! But be careful it'll Jack with your emotions lol
React to Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country
MCR- Ghost of you
I love seeing people getting in on music that I have loved for so long! Welcome to the MCR family!
The guy is basically dying and death takes the form of a Parade to welcome into the afterlife
This is the first time I’ve watch you & I love your exuberance for MCR!!
There will never be another band even close to them & their creativity & musical greatness!!
God I love & miss them!!! 🥺
You should check out the fun, crazy musical romp Gerard created with Danger Days especially Na Na Na!!! ❤️
after the burial- Lost in the static
Mama sets the bar, one of the best on the album
Famous last words show must go on please
Gibby gang in the building!
Morning d-gibby!
Let's dive in!
The EMO Bohemian Rhapsody!!! Such a great song!! Great choice bro. Now you need to do I'm Not Okay I Promise.
Classic! Another which is my favourite MCR track is 'Famous Last Words'
React to In This Moment - Forever or Red - The Evening Hate. In This Moment's 2nd CD the Dream is phenomenal! The whole album is good!
Why do I love watching reaction videos so much?
I highly suggest "the ghost of you" by My Chemical Romance
