I just bought a set of sylvania zevo led amber turn signals, specifically 3157A, and 7440A for my family’s 2017 Toyota sienna.
I prefer the Novita led flasher relay for better and more appropriate approach to get rid of the hyperflash.
They are a hair brighter than stock.
But the instant on and I stand off is a huge improvement over stock.
These would be great for my family sienna. It’s truly a set it and forget it product.

My left headlight is flashing on my ram 2009 I got a load equalizer and it’s saying it’s for turn signals will it work for headlights or will I need a different fix the bulbs were 130 a side and they won’t take them back

Why not try to get a mechanical led flasher relay, over to an electronic. Much better approach than splicing the wires with load equalizer resistor.

So on my 1991 Dodge Dakota, I have 2 separate bulbs in the front that flash for turn signals on each side and 1 in each tail light. Do I need to install these at the bulbs or can I install them at the flasher wiring behind the fuse panel? I also have 2 separate flashers, 1 for turn signals and another for emergency flashers.

The Sylvania Load Equalizers can be connected anywhere along the circuit, after the Turn Signal Switch, just make sure to tie into the correct wires.
Please remember that these have to be secured onto a flat metal surface to dissipate heat as the load equalizers can get very hot. Be sure to keep the Load Equalizers away from any heat sensitive objects.
You will most likely need one load equalizer per original bulb rated between 21-27 Watts. If the extra set of front turn signal bulbs are the smaller 194/168 types, you may not need a load equalizer for them, depending on the vehicle.
Please feel free to notify us of any further questions or assistance you may require.

Thank you for the video. I was debating the Zevo bulbs for the rear in an 08 Tahoe. Are the Sylvania equalizers much better than say Aaron load resisters ? Also, there are 2x 3057 on each side, would one equalizer work on the 2 bulbs on one side ? Thanks

I'm getting an error code for the 2825 bulb in my side running lights socket. Will the equalizer fix this? It's also on for an extended duration, so heat is an issue. How much heat is generated by the equalizer?

The equalizer will get very hot, so you want to mount it to metal and not plastic cause it will melt it.

Sylvania offers small little load equalizer for ur marker lights. So once u splice them in, it will no longer pop up on ur dashboard.
Than ur computer will think ur running with incandescent but with led

Regarding getting the bulb out error.....Many cars today have 4 or more brake lights now. The "Third brake light" plus a 2 piece light assembly on either side of the car; one on the body of the car and one on the trunk lid. Some of these light bulbs have a dual purpose (for brake and tail) and have two filaments in each bulb. When I install this device to the wire that runs the brake light filament in the bulb then I do not get the bulb out indicator as I did before but I still get the bulb out indicator when just the lights are on.
I have to put two on each bulb (one for the tail light filament and one for the brake light filament) That means I will need 9, NINE! devices to prevent that little brake light indicator lamp from lighting. And is there a lifetime warranty that one or more of those resistors won't go out?
But there must be a better way right? This is like using TNT to get rid of a mosquito.
What are your suggestions besides: Pull the brake out indicator lamp, cover the lamp with black tape so I don't see it, just ignore the lamp, don't use LED lights, Use LED lights but wire regular lights in a hidden place also....(lol)

Or just get the mechanical led flasher relay. Much simpler to do that than splicing the wires

@@toyotabrony what is that? Have a link?

@@Hizenbird it’s a better alternative option. Instead putting one or more load equalizer resistor, and splice the wires and it can be a pain in the ass to do that.
There’s few options I highly recommend > splicing the wires.
1: get the load equalizer resister with connectors that comes with as a plug and play type.
      If u don’t want that.
Get the led flasher relay that’s made for led.
Since we use oem flasher relay for incandescent bulbs such as turn signals.
Putting led on oem flasher relay thinks it will have a bulb out.
So u need to switch a mechanical box of a led flasher relay that’s locate under ur steering wheel, behind the plastic panel.
Depending on ur vehicle. Press ur emergency turn signals, go under the steering wheel and listen to that constant clicking sound. If u hear it very close. That means it’s behind the plastics panels.
When u remove it, u have to listen again and see where’s exaclty coming from. If u see a grey box or any color, put ur hand and feel it. If u feel there’s a clicking sounds, u will know that’s the flasher relay for u to change it. It’s a bit tight but u can easily pull it out and put an led flasher relay.
I will send u the link for that.
But at the same time, autozone usually Carrie’s those relay. I visit 8 autozone stores and 1 out of 8 I found one lol. So u will have to be a scavenger hunt for the relay. Hopefully u can get one.
3: now if u don’t want to do all that, there’s an led turn signals with a built in resistor that’s much much easier as a plug and play led bulb.
I high recommend, go check out auxito - automotive led lights.
There’s tons of option they have. Most of them will have a built-in resistors, and couple doesn’t have it.

AgainZ I’m not sure what vehicle u have. But here’s an example of what it is.
The brand that’s made from Osram/sylvania, it’s called Novita - led flasher relay.
But that doesn’t mean it only works on sylvania. Once u hook them upC it can work on any type of led bulb that requires a load equalizer resistor or led flasher relay.

Will load equalizers stop my vehicle from notifying me/hyper flashing if the LED does burnout? Is it defeating this safety?

    • @toyotabrony
      @toyotabrony Рік тому

When it comes to hyperflash on led turn signals, the load equalizer resistor is design for turn signals only. And yes it will stop the hyperflash.
However there’s a better option, instead of splicing the wires by putting the load equalizer resistor.
Just get the mechanical led flasher relay. It’s the same approach to stop the hyperflash.
Go to any autozone or any to ur local auto part store, and see if they have an led flasher relay for ur vehicle.

    • @toyotabrony

The LED’s are not gonna burned out. It’s got a very low and efficient energy consumption, and the computer thinks the bulb burned out because of that.

@@chrisladouceur4093 yes they do as a matter of fact.
Take the silvania zevo led bulbs.
With the lifetime warranty. These led bulbs been outperform the rest of the best high performance led bulbs.
These zevo are to replace oem for better proper brightness, and still get the longevity.
And it depends how it’s design and the heatsink.
For example. There’s a UA-camr I was talkin to name Panther platform. He owns a ford crown Victoria and mercury grand marquee.
He had a 3157 Sylvania zevo led red brake light bulbs since it came out at the time. That was 10-12 years ago.
And he upload a video 2.5 months ago, sayin he’s still runnin to this day, with the same brightness same intensity. And it looked exactly the same as when he bought it brand new.
Any reputable brand of led bulbs like lasfit, auxito, Fahren, xenon depot, diode dynamics, GTR-Lighting, Morimoto, and S-V.4 will last a very long time.
But honestly, the zevo led bulbs with a lifetime warranty. Will always outlay the led bulbs more.

@@chrisladouceur4093 if it draws way too much power. That’s a big possibility.
Even if it has a very large heatsink it can. But if it has a mid size heatsink with less insane brightness. That can last along time as well.
