Good results. Be patient and THOROUGH with each sanding stage. CIRCULAR MOTION is key. I decided to rinse and dry off all grit residue after each stage.

Helpful Hint: apply painters tape AFTER you have applied activator, rinsed, and let dry. The tape I applied, 1st, loosened and started to slide off when the activator chemical dripped down from the headlight and hit it. Good results.

Can you repost this without the painfully loud annoying music?

You need to do the same thing for the ground wire using another tap connector.

Ok I just did the coating. 90 min later It does indeed look better. I'm glad I found this youtube instructional it is very good. I expected the sanding would be the hardest to get uniform but it went pretty easy. The UV applicator though was more "arty" then I expected. As the video it dries quick so you must be ready to evenly coat top to bottom with broad overlapping. I can see a bit of defects in the first lamp I coated but the 2nd was much better. Took me 90min to do both but I was slow and steady. I could do it in 30 min now that I've done a set. 90 min after drying it does look much better and I'm sure more light will get to the road. We'll see how long it lasts but if it even lasted 1 year I'd be happy. If it last 3 I will be thrilled. thank you Sylvania auto. :-)

What can i do if i messed up the clear coat on 1 by putting too much and its not drying uniformly?

Apparently no auto electrician worth their salt would advise using the tap connector. Be sure to keep a fire extinguisher close by, by all accounts

This guy does a very good job telling what to do but I used this kit yesterday. What I experienced after applying the first UV clear coat the headlight was still had a very hazy look so after about 4 or 5 hours I applied another coat of the UV clear coat that made it look 100% better, that was last night. So this morning I have applied another coat of the UV clear coat, hoping that will make it look even better.

Came out like shit , especially with the clearcoat . GO BUY 3m restoration kit better.

What if there is a split wire with a ground for the camera?

Anyone have the problem of using too much of the UV coat and ended up being more cloudy ? How can I fix this ?

That's a pain in butt.. i would pay for it instead...lets do the math ...24$ for the kit + the hard work. Shop detailing will only charge you 60$ .. you are only saving 20$ ...not worth it

I found the key step is to spend enough time using the finer sand paper - don't shorten that step, make sure to use lots of water from a spray bottle and keep at it. That seemed to be the key for my headlights which weren't too bad, but bad enough to fail safety inspection. Also - do NOT go over the same spot w/the final UV sealant step!!! It's not like painting to get coverage! It'll leave a cloudy area.

@SylvaniaAutomotive U guys have a curve 22” led light bar that has a wide beam pattern? If so, what wattage u guys have available? And are they plug and play? Or it has bare wire?

I'm new to trying this out and am happy with the results but I apparently did not get the Clear Coat on quite fast enough and I got some streaking - both headlights are almost back to new but my technique getting the clear coat on was not great (first time trying it). Is there anything I can do to "touch" up the headlights once everything is cured?

My revers light turns dole when in revers bud the cámara works fine only the side i spliced for the cámara

I've watched more hours of backup camera install videos than I'll ever admit and cut wires I had no business cutting and this is the ONLY video that ACTUALLY showed me which wire to tap into for power. The silverstar ultra more like the one of the left and the one on the right looks like the led lights i once had, i still love the silverstar ultras but they are not as white as this video shows i think the camera makes the lights look off

WELL done! Informative, simple, and well explained! THANK YOU!!!! I got this project completed in about 30 min. (after spending about an hour trying to figure it out myself using the instructions included with my camera.) This ended up being a fun "mommy/daughter" project (AFTER following the instructions of this video).

For the love of God - eliminate the unnecessary distracting music. If I want to be entertained - I will pick my own music. Your music adds no value and makes it hard to hear and understand you. Be a leader - not a follower - allows all the other idiots making instructional videos play their music if that's their preference.

I drive an hour and a half every morning at 4 am to work, I bought a Yukon that had these in them and I swapped my wife's car and our spare car with them. They're awesome this video doesn't do them justice. If you're debating about getting them just spend the extra cash they're worth it!

Are y'all color blind over their factory? These aren't white headlights. They're yellow. That's absolutely false advertising. Beyond ridiculous sixty dollars for Something that Not as described

So one is whiter than the other, that’s the only difference I see. And I prefer the look of warm light over white anyway.
