Need to make sure the bulb housing has reflectors in it. The LED bulbs point backwards into the housing and need reflectors to reflect the light off. Very bright and lights faster than incandescent bulbs.

Yea that is correct. Always red led bulb behind red lens. It will be much brighter and deeper red that way. Putting the same brightness white LeD bulb will actually be dimmer.

What if I have a Oem subwoofer in that rear spot? Can I still access the bulbs?
You should get the leds from vleds.com they have the ones corrects that problem

Not really. U get what u paid for. It may not be super bright, but with red led, it increase the brightness with the red lens.
If u want the best ones. Go for 1: Lasfit red led bulbs. Or 2: GTR Lighting - Carbide series 2.0 or armor series. More expensive, but the quality is better. 😊
@@toyotabrony So I've had the bulbs on my GL450 since 2017. Since 2021/2022, I've been taking one of my kids to school where while going and picking him up there are two traffic lights which are a minimum of 2 minutes wait. I can't seem to avoid them. So, these have gotten a lot of sit and wait in traffic lights, where the brake light is on and they are still running strong.
@@DIYDharma that’s what I’m sayin about the T2 series. It’s a 50/50 of no issues of hyperflash of more than between 2-5 minutes. Or u get hyperflash after 2 minutes.

T3 was been solved by hyperflash problem.
