If the cop took any longer, more innocents could have been possibly injured/killed due to the perps unsound choice. I think we both can agree that the perp was NOT in the best headspace, so I wouldn't trust her weapon handling skills at all to only hit her intended target. Imagine the chaos if you had the roles of most criminals and cops swapped. Somewhat smart criminals that the capability to shoot a person from far away versus a mentally unstable person that is supposed to be a cop but is completely incapable of doing their job. And this is why you would typically need training as a cop and need to stay in a decent shape to do your job right.
But lets bring it that way: Imagine shit goes down, you got a fit police officer that is well trained and a fat officer that has been doing the job for 2 months, has no proper training and just wanted to try out the job. Who are you gonna pick?

Just incredible.

The first and second officers shown are a credit to the force. It's a real shame that both of them had to go through what they did over virtually nothing.
As for three and four? Both should be taken off the force and hopefully have been. The guy for losing his service weapon to a currently disabled man, proving he is thoroughly out of shape both physically and mentally. The woman for completely losing her cool in a life threatening situation that very likely would have resulted in her death had backup not arrived when it did. Police officers have to be held to a very high standard for the responsibility they have to their communities and the power they wield to potentially end another person's life. She violated the man's rights to begin with. There was no articulated suspicion of a crime. You can not ask someone for their ID to look for a reason to arrest them.

@@johnspartan3405 Cops are in their right to ask for ID if they are conducting a welfare check, as waiting in a car awake at an early time is pretty weird. I don't know a lot about the US of A law, but the cop did nothing wrong in that video. Not once was the female officer trying to arrest the man for not having an ID, if the said person has a warrant out for their arrest, that is purely a coincidence but the initial reason for asking for the ID, is that it's routine for a welfare check. The man did not look okay in the video and it's better to be safe than sorry.
Funny how you did not respond to the man above my initial comment but responded to my trolly "smartest police hater"

The officer that was so nonchalant as he transfered a criminal that had already shot at other officers truly left me speechless.
What a pathetic display of an absolute disregard of safety and professionalism. A "no brainer" situation handled as if the officer had no access to his brain.
