Police Officer Is Pulled Over by Deputy for Allegedly Speeding: Cops

  • An Orlando, Florida, police officer is pulled over for allegedly speeding. A deputy pulled the officer over, who was driving his patrol car. The deputy reportedly clocked officer Alexander Shaouni going 80 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone. Shaouni now faces charges including fleeing a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, speeding and resisting arrest. He has been “relieved of duty” according to the Orlando Police department pending an investigation.

      He doesn’t deserve a medal, every police officer should be expected to do what the deputy did and there’s no excuses! If your going to give a medal to this officer for what we expect him to do, might as well just give a medal to all the cops that do WHAT we expected them to do. It’s their job.

      @@Aogamii A thank you for working hard would be nice ONCE in a while, but getting a thank you everyday for doing relatively normal tasks wouldn’t be encouragement at all and I bet people would find it annoying over time. However, the police force has been getting a lot of bad press over the years and encouraging these good cops to mitigate these bad cops and paint a good picture of themselves would be overall beneficial to the people. So I agree that we should encourage these good cops to counteract and work against these bad cops, but I don’t agree on the fact that we should give thank you’s to cops everyday because that sounds ridiculous.

    Don’t forget to add the charges of unlawful use of a blue light! I guarantee they won’t add that charge.
    If anyone else was using a blue light to evade police and to get around traffic. They would be charged with using a blue light or emergency lights. Which is another felony charge

Each State has there own way of Police Impersonation for example, in one state you need to prove that they actually had the intension to falsify there role in society such as being a police officer.

This video was in Florida, so they have their own ways of doing things of course or they have their own blue light laws as well, all depends. I'm sure this is more so against policy than anything, in general. Using emergency lights and/or sirens for your own personal gain as any legitimate First Responder is definitely not okay nor allowed in some form or fashion but it probably falls more under a policy violation than against the law, but again depends on the state

      @@Tylerd838it doesn’t matter. Someone who is a police officer should be “role models” and FOLLOW THE LAWS since it’s their job to “enforce” them on other citizens. Can’t be hypocritical, especially in that field. They literally carry guns, tasers, etc that can severely harm or kill someone.
      It’s crazy how you can fail the police academy and exam multiple times and only have a high school education, but lawyers have to be educated, go to school for around 8-12 years, and still don’t have as much power or privilege as police

    In a statement to Nexstar’s WFLA, the Orlando Police Department said, “Officer Shaouni has been relieved of duty pending the Seminole County Sheriff’s criminal investigation and OPD’s Internal Affairs investigation.”

      You should only be allowed to speed that much as a cop if there is an emergency and someone is going to die if you don't get there. Something like an active shooter or a kidnapping in progress for example. Not just being late for work.
