One thing this is really missing is highlighting the weapons' special features detailed in their descriptions that make them what they are, like the Lens weapons leaving debuffs on a target or the Prism Driver zapping lots of individual targets around the impact area.
Also, for how good this mod is, it's a real shame the modmaker was a stick in the mud and had to ruin it for everyone.
This awesome mod is long due for a rework.
i just wanted to show off all the weapons briefly, surprisingly there is no video that show all the weapons so i decided to make one :)
i figure showing the stats on the side and trying it out yourself would be a great way to make the best use and figuring it out on their own, which i believe is the best way to enjoy this mod.
And yes, its sad to see another wreck modders goes on. would love for new coat paint and more powers of sun held by mere mortals.
@@midnightapple yeah, that's fair, since a big part of the fun of this mod, and honestly starsector in general, is finding cool rare tech and trying to figure out how to make best use of it

@@Astareia7312 used art assets from other modders' licensed work without permission and when confronted about it refused to change anything and was an a-hole about it, leading to this mod being removed from the official forums
Yeah... Some madguy found matched pixels within his mod, and charged to THIS mod been deleted. Funny thing, that guy mod used by few people, when arsenal by many. Ahhh i hope it get update someday (prob not).
I can't get one thing. Starsector modding are non commercial, so what even a deal when you creating art...
The Tesla coils also apparently increase the damage on the Lightning storms too.

It's such a fun mod, in the sense that what you get is basically random and rarely absolutly OP, just a nice thing once in a while with limited usefullness.
god I hate modders that get their panties in a twist because someone reused an asset. as if they didn't literally mod a game reusing assets from that game, kitbashing it etc.
Doing lord Ludd's work bringing this mod out for people to enjoy despite the dumb-crap that went into it be [redacted] from the forums.

NovaX "defence" system is the most busted weapon of this mod. It's even more powerfull and effective than plazma storm for some reason.
There is a great ship in this mod - Titanium, last bounty. You can't use it until you change some tags in ship_data.csv.
And yeah, you'll need to fix a name of a portrait file in unique_bounty_data.csv or your game will crash at the start of a fight.

The config file has alot of variables that are specifically there to ensure some backwards compatibility. Really great for mods since they tend to fall behind. I pretty much never use auto updates on steam because it allways ruin the mods immediately.

While yes this mod's weapon is busted af especially the rarest one, the OP and the flux cost really hinder some of the build. And sometimes you can only put like one (or maybe two if its capital) on ship. But the fun factor kinda outweigh that, so yeah, fun mod!
Okay but what if you mix it with Pirates But Epicer so they can just spawn wherever?

some of these are really usefull, others almost suicidal.

@@yyeetmax2849 I was also confused at first as to why the mod was removed from the page before the release of 0.96.
turns out he antagonized another mod without reason and his mod faction and another mod faction become permanently negative 100.
Someone simply asked can we remove this negative relation or simply put legit lore of antagonized and he became insanely mad and tarnished all of his reputation in the community instantly.
Bad to the point that Alex came out by himself.
In the forum's past, there were some major mod authors that were absolute egotistical, snowflakes when it came down to assets looking similar to each other. Superweapons arsenal happened to get caught in that crossfire. I'm happy to report they also bought the farm or were too banned later on for other reasons, but the damage was done.
@@TehGreatBuck Sadly, his mods are very good but it's ruined by his own ego and his tr*sh talk other mod that he deem not balance. (Even two of his main faction is quite powerful)
And how ironic that it's some "Anime" mod that completely cut him out off the community.

2.5B, it still works with the newest version of SS by changing the mod_info file, im not really sure about the discord one, i saw some updated version but i dont see any pro active updates, so discord one is also most likely 2.5b.
