The dedication to pretend like this is a real terrifying monster that can kill them at any time and not just a rejected school mascot truly took some major acting prowess
It kind of interesting the Peldon stories. There both political adventures released a few years within each other and there politics are drastically different. Curse is all about basically just one big ale allegory for the Britain joining the E.U. Monster feels like it’s almost a critique of sexism and women empowerment although the themes weren’t as strong as the original
Play time early 70's at primary school "My name is Agador Agador rolls polly umpompey ,Willie Willie whiskers Chinese chop sticks" While saying "Chinese chop sticks" we had to cross and uncross our legs a if our legs ended up crossed then we would be out or on as it was put. School memories
They should have left it at one Peladon story. Monster is almost a plot re-run in the same style with more episodes, but isn't anything like as good as Curse. That said, what Hayles does with the Ice Warriors across the two stories is clever and adds interest to the race (they're not just all bad or all good any more, but could be either, keeping the viewer in suspense at the start of a story. Given that precedent being set, it's a shame there were then no further Ice Warrior stories until the modern era misfire).
"Ooh, that's smell, it's sort of musky like..." "It's my new aftershave, Sarah. Now, why don't you slip out of your nice jumper and I'll show you my perigosto stick."
Nothing like an old Venusian lullaby to relax you.
Haroon haroon haroon...
Can't wait for the drum and base remix!
Gaming with Rowan *remix*
Bless ye merry gentlemen...🎄

The Queen is so Danny Pink in acting.
