- Linx has created a robot knight to help Irongron fight but it's out of control. Classic clip from the 1973-1974 four-part story 'The Time Warrior', starring Jon Pertwee as the Doctor, with his new companion Sarah Jane Smith.

Man, dramatically this is so good. Riveting writing, expertly acted and directed. Leaves today's junk in the dust.
100% right, bro! 🇬🇧
Whats noticable in this story is how the sontaren isnt just a joke like Moffat makes him, he's got some depth and isnt just a one dimensional war mongerer, he has a proper relationship with irongron even if they do isult each other and are using one another theres proper dialogue of two people in cahoots.
Pertwee and Baker were the best of all Drs.
Two of my favourites. Jon’s perfect era saved Doctor Who, and Baker’s era was truly well acted and funny as well.
Troughton?
@@minicle426 they're all good, those are just my favorites.
Jon Pertwee and Matt Smith are my two favourites of all time.
Jon Pertwee was the best Doctor of all time. He's still my favourite. ♥️🇬🇧📺
Next time on Irongron and Linx.Irongron asks, "whats wrong with the robot why did it go berserk?"(laugh track), Linx "did I do that?"(laugh track), Irongron,"no the robot did." (laugh track) Linx "I will build you a better robot..." (laugh track).... oh Linx
Classic episode. Especially usfs best buddy Linx.
They find each other repulsive & yet are friends.
Makeup's not bad at all for 1970s television. Meanwhile, George R. R. Martin must've watched this as a kid, because Irongron feels pretty Bobby B.
David Daker, Irongron is such a good actor he is too good for interviews" I never find them. and rightly so, I agree he is too good for interviews!
Just watching him in the 1972 Crime drama Villains I would never have know he played Irongron and was surprised when I find out it was the same guy who played Harry in Boon. He has that rare gift to step completely into a character and be compelling being someone else totally within the performance.
He was very good later on in Coronation Street, Moonfleet & Boon.
You know even though u can kinda tell it’s a guy in a mask the Sontaran makeup and outfit still stands as some of the greatest work of Doctor Who aliens up there with the Draconian’s, the Ice lords, and some of the new Who monsters well at least the practical ones
Why do you only think one of those plurals needs an apostrophe? I'd understand if you put an apostrophe in all of them, you'd just be stupid. Your inconsistency is odd.
I wish the modern Sontarans acted more like Linx.
Wow
