i want to thank you for testing so hard the 177, i have some love for this caliber, and see the possibilities make me like even more my gun...i already got some really nice results with 13 and 15 grains slugs, but your videos make wanna get sub moa at 100... im from Brasil and we have some really good slugs manufacturers here, hope one day u could try them out.. Thank you again, and congratulations
I love seeing your progression in accuracy with your videos over time. Go back to the early videos, you were lucky to make 4" groups at 100m, and now just over an inch! Soon that 1.1cm will be your normal!
Its actually funny bcs we talked about it yesterday 😃 Remember being completely psyked up over groups that I consider as failed today 😂 Our gear has developed so much 🤗
Thanks for another good and informative video. I have also shot a bit with my new heavy liner and found the M3 shoots most accurately around 290 to 300 m/s, which is probably due to the small twist rate of 1:18. I would like FX to make liners with a twist rate of both 1:14 and 1:16 so we could choose how fast we wanted to shoot. I still found accuracy issues with slugs over 15 grains.
Awesome shooting buddy I want a 600mm barrel kit in 177 cal hopefully I'll get it soon or the 700mm I want a compact fx impact maybe even the 500mm but I have seen that many videos on the 500mm 177 cal thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍
Thanks Chris and thanks for always supporting me 🙂 I like the idea of having diffent barrels even if one is my favourite. I have all 3 lengths and currently only the 600mm is on holiday 😃
Hi Marco I have the extra carbon sleeve on the 700 mm liner yes 🙂 I dont remember the length, but just measure the depth of the tensioner nut and the depth of the tiny lipp at the oposite end and the subtract it from the length of the outer carbon sleeve. That will give you a good indication. I cut mine maybe 5 mm shorter, bcs of the tight fit it will not move with this tiny aditional slack 🙂
Thanks Paavo 🙂 Yes that is right. I had some slugs being mis fed when using the mag, so I decided to switch to the single shot loader. I talked to a few people who had shot the 16 gr and none of them had experienced these mis feeding issues.
Nice. My maverick still in for RMA and the 700 mm heavy liner collecting dust on my table. How did you do with the Monster redesigns you got from me ? i assume you of course shot those with the regular barrel. BTW my permit came in and at the start of the week i got my Huma moderator.
Great that the permit finally came 😃 You will like the moderator 😎 The redesigned are just a great pellet and they did well in the Wildcat 🤗 Thanks again buddy 😎
@@VikingAirgunner Havin only tested in my living room it is hard to tell also the Vulcan 3 already have a build in moderator. But i feel like i can hear a change in the sound but in regard to volume hard to tell CUZ the pellet smacking into my trap after 3 M flight are by far the most noisy part. Got 2 starter parts so i can use on my AGT vulkan with its M14 thread but also on traditional UNF like on our FX rifles. I might pick up a additional element for the moderator later in the year, but so far i will go with the compact look.
@@peashooter950 And thats what is so good about the moderators from Huma. I want an aditional mid section to mine to keep the db down as much as possible if Im to test the barrel tensioner again.
I can tell you that all three types of .177 H&N slugs I have tried in my M3 do not shoot very accurately compared to ZAN and other quality slugs. I have also found that they are not quite round when measuring a large number of them. H&N slugs have been a big disappointment here as they do not live up to the quality the company usually delivers.
It is 1:18, but it has a tighter grip on the slug than the standard superior liner. Take a look at the video I did on the 600 mm heavy liner for more info 👍
Nice video as usual, but why dont you shoot 10shots groups, or 4x5 shots for example. It will be much more telling and will give more indication on the tins consistency between slugs weights and shapes/sizes. I do not believe 5 shots groups are enough to draw definite conclusions. Take care.
It seems that the 5 shot groups are what many people shoot, so simply a way to compare what others shoot. Many also shoot 100 yards wich I have also considered, but decided to stay with the metric.
You should have a measuring device for selecting slugs, PelletGage com has good products, and you have an article about it on HAM called "Now There's A SlugGage - You're Going To Need It!"
This answers the question with the answer we were hoping for. Excellent video, as always, Peter!
Thanks Felix 🤗

Best regards

Love it. That’s some great testing. The accuracy with the zans is brilliant. Only shooting with a sub12 in the U.K. and I would love this setup
Thanks Eoin 🙂
@@VikingAirgunner 👍 I love the .177 caliber.
Peter, Another great video! Still waiting on my liner, hope I get it soon. This gives me hope that I can shoot the heavier slugs with my M3!
Thanks Edward 🙂
I would say that you will be well sorted with this one - or the 600 mm heavy liner 🙂
Im not complaining 😃
Nice shooting.
All dialed in now.
Very nice 👌 👍
Tusen takk for nok en meget god og informativ review Peter 👍🇳🇴

@Viking Airgunner yes sir you give good info 👍
If they could supply a variety of different diameter .177 slugs like NSA does for the 22 caliber . That would be interesting .
Takk for en god test, Peter 😁👍
Great info
Thanks Tommy 🤗
HI Peter,
Did you also put a carbon tension tube 14x16 on this, I bought one and was wondering what i should cut it down to in lenth?
