- you will need:
a new shroud that has every feature your current truck has besides column shifter
new shifter cable- FL3Z-7E395-C (6 speed)
Lower Panel: GL3Z-1504567-CA
4x Bolts: W711685S900
4x Nuts: W717086S439
make your own harness or buy one pre-made
console shifter assembly depending on the color of boot you want to match your truck
tools needed:
5.5 mm socket
7mm socket
8mm socket
10mm
various extensions
wheel chocks
flat head
90 degree pick
small flat head
trim panel plastic tools
patience

I do not sorry, I found a schematic and used it with doetsch connectors at both ends. Boosted grey Goose designs sells a pre-made harness that plugs in too.

It’s not that hard really especially if you buy grey goose designs harness, I’m not sure if a dealer would attempt it.

Nice job, I recently got a 2015 Ford F150Xlt. The only thing i don't like on the truck is the column shifter, I would like to do this conversion. My truck has the tow haul mode do I need any additional harness to engage that mode. Can you share a video on how you remove the original cable from under the truck and install the new one.. thanks
Thank you! And for the harness you can make one like I showed in another video or buy the premade harness from boosted grey goose designs. For removing the cable I can make a short video later of the end of the cable but once you have the end off it pulls through the floor and you can fish the new one back in.

@chetrampersaud6810 you’re welcome and there are different colors and features for if you have electric pedals and what not. I found someone on Facebook parting out a truck and luckily he worked at a junk yard so I told him every feature I needed and the color and he found me one and was able to ship it to me for like $75.

How long this entire process take. From your video the process doesn't seem that difficult. However on some f150 forum they are saying that the entire dashboard has to be removed to install the new harness. I notice the complete harness is being sold by a company online. By doing it your way not removing the dashboard, is there any harness exposed anywhere. Can send a pic of the finished job

I tried to order the harness to the business you mentioned but it seems they are not customer oriented people. The way this business operates is suspicious, they don't answer emails, and my order was on a pending status for more than 10 hrs. after claiming it was available, and after insisting over the order status, a cancellation email was the only product delivered@@swrvtech

Question, where does the floor shift cable go directly to the transmission, how does it determine manually, the positioning you are requesting (2nd,3rd,4th etc) I'm assuming it is cable operated and not electronically selected?
It does goes directly to the transmission yes, when it’s in manual mode I’m guessing the transmission gear position sensor registers that and the ecu allows it to be controlled with the plus and minus buttons in the shifter.
I’m doing the same thing on my 2018 f150 xlt, where you get your hardness made? I need to get my self one!

Did you attach both ground wires from the shifter to the harness? Also when it’s in park does the park light on the dash illuminate?

If the park light doesn’t illuminate when it’s in park it keeps the power activated to everything still, I had that issue before adding the other wire to the single wire that runs up to the factory location.
What were the part numbers for the steering column covers?
I’m not sure, I searched on eBay for the column bezel until I found one that has the key hole,black in color, and no shifter hole. I have one more black one with a key hole if you’re interested.
With the harness you made were you able to retain the sport/tow and manual mode?
Yes everything functions exactly like factory

Just realized you have a 2014 and that’s a different style completely than 15-19s
So I have a gen 1 raptor and really have been looking into doing a console shifter to a column shifter you think is do able? Reason I know have a 4 kid and would rather want a Jump seat where the console shifter is at lol
Check you steering column to see if you have the mount that the shifter mounts to and if so it will be an easy swap, if not you'll have to swap the column as well.
I plan to do the same. Any luck? Did the raptor column have the needed shifter mounts?
If you pop the column cover off which is super easy you’ll be able to see if you do or not

Would you be able to do this on a 1997 Ford F-250 ? Just bought 2018 interior with the dash shifter
If you're adding the 18 console to your 97 yes it would but you would have to find a wiring diagram and maybe use relays to unlock the park interlock solenoid on the console shifter. Also you would have to get a custom shift cable or modify a 18 cable bracket to work with the 97.

Console shifter has one, I found a wiring diagram online and everything worked but the park light on the cluster so I ohmed out all the pins and found the wire I needed to move and it all works like factory now

@@zaidamerkadim6843 I'm not sure the differences between the 6 and 10 speed transmission cables honestly, I did have to adjust mine too.
Would this work on a 93 bronco?
You might have to have a custom bracket with the proper throw on the transmission of the cables move different lengths with this shifter compared to a factory shifter. I’m sure it’s doable but pricey
@@swrvtech I am looking at a bronco 93 that has a 2017 middle jump seat installed. If I bought one of these Consouls without the shifter do you think I would be able to use the same brackets to install it as a center consul?
