+1 for the 5.0. My 2012 had 238k miles when it was totaled. Never any issues. Bought a ‘14 ecoboost it’s currently waiting for it 3rd engine to arrive. Been waiting 6 months. Plan to trade it in for another 5.0.
That's some impressive miles! And if you NEED to drive a truck everywhere that's great, but the thing that gets me is the cost of gas over that period. At $2.50 gas and 15 mpg, you're looking at $80k! If you got 30 mpg you'd have saved 40k!? That's why I say get an old truck for hauling and leave it parked, and drive a car. Unless your ego depends on driving a truck ;) Edit: or if you just like paying extra to drive a truck that's fine too, just make sure you don't end up broke with no retirement because of it!
I have a 2001 ford mustang gt 4.6l, wouldn't trade it for anything else right now. And an added bonus is that for some reason the value is going up on them.
4.6 was one of my favorite gas motors in the older ford's, had a light duty f250 and it ran like a dream until one of my workers drove it knowing the oil was practically empty 😞
I bought a 2006 Ford F-150 5.4 3v 4x4 for dirt cheap with a blown engine and Ive been working on installing a remanufactured engine and they addressed the common failure points. I've got the engine in and it purrs like a kitten! I figured it'd be better to buy an older used truck and put some money into it and end up owning it outright then take out $30k-$70k on a brand new truck 😂
My 2005 F150 with the 5.4 3v had the cam phaser and timing chain problem when i got it. But ever since it was fixed it runs great and hasn't given me any problems. It has 245k miles on it. I payed 1000 bucks for it and ended up putting about 2700 in total repairs.
@@Trenton-om9qs when you replace the runner control, use the genuine Ford parts, they redesigned it. The aftermarket ones won't work. Speaking from experience. I have the same truck. Purchased w 155k in 2018 now at 182k. Spent about that too to get in running properly. I also had the front end rebuilt just because of natural wear on those parts. Planning on keeping it forever. At the way we're going, we'll be Cuba, not having access to newer vehicles.
I had one. 10 mpg loaded or empty but run forever. That motor was tough. Absolutely refused to die. And yes I tried. I beat that motor like it owed me money but it just kept on cranking and running.
I had a 96 with that 300 straight 6, wich I bought used. it fell apart around the engine, but kept on going. I gave it to my son, who put some money into it, but eventually sold it. That truck is still running!
I have the 2012 model, same 5.0 engine 4x4. 204000 kms. It is using a fair amount of oil and the engine is making a lot of noise. Eats brakes like crazy and is rusting in the rocker panels(Canadian salted roads). I still like the truck but just traded it for a 2022 Lariat 5.0. I’m hoping the body will not rot out.
@@Scubaken2022 2015 and up F-150s can’t rust. They’re made of Aluminum. Just make sure the frame and differentials are coated. The bumpers are steel so getting a protective film on them would be a good idea. I got a 2012 5.0 as well that’s at 304,000 miles. Rusted but still runs and drives good. Got it for $4,500.
@@TheKingweston89 I followed the recommendation from my service shop. Oil, rad, brake and trans flush. I tow a rather heavy travel trailer so I keep on top of the servicing.
@@Joserizzzal I still have it. I've been the original owner, and it'll be 9 years next month. No major issues. (Water pump, battery, filters, spark plugs, belt, fluids) are all that's been changed. This truck has been a blessing.
Recently got a used '16 with 50k miles on it and a 3.5 L V6 naturally aspirated engine and RWD all because of your videos. I figured I don't need the V8 if im just hauling around kayaks and lumber and no need for 4x4 since im not in a snowy area or doing offroading. I got 25.5 mpg today on the highway driving like a granny at the speed limit. So far I'm pleased with the truck and hope it holds up.
@@boristeplitskiy7632 water pump is outside the engine in the longitudinal configuration, so the trucks don't have the same catastrophic failure issues as the cars do with the pump inside.
We have one of these exact trucks at 250k miles, it’s awesome! Definitely can confirm the 5.0L is a dream of an engine. It influenced me to get a 13th gen with a 2 wheel drive, 5.0l, and 6 speed. This combo is bullet proof. Engine still strong, but will likely outlast everything else.
got an 1988 F350 2x4 crewcab w/460 C6 automatic. i'd put it up against just about any of these newer trucks, especially in the rust department... i'd rather just replace parts than buy one of these newer trucks.
My dad is still driving his 2002 F150 5.4 triton with 365k miles on it. All repairs the truck needed he did it himself. Aside from the interior deterioration it drives pretty good.
Even better, 2 valve 5.4, no cam phasers. My 05 has the phasers locked out, but the guy that locked them out said he didn't on his, and had 250000 miles on it!y 2000 Expedition has a 2valve 4.6! 244000 on it, and the fuel mileage is noticeably better.
Just bought an 01 super crew with triton v8 200k miles, it runs absolutely perfect...no knocks, ticks, and the transmission is smooth as butter. Only reason i bought it was cause i knew who owned it and they kept up with oil changes and regular maintenance since it was new. I love that truck
I got 2013 f150 fx4 5.0 I got 296,000 the water pump and spark plugs was replaced around 175,000 and brakes at 245,000 and the entire front end at 285,000 I swear by this truck absolutely love it
I’ve owned two of those. Never had any issues really. My favorite is my 95 obs 5.8 4by4. 200,000 miles and going strong. It’s what I think the definition of a real truck is
I'm old enough to remember some people being unhappy with the change from the 5.0 to the 4.6, but as it turns out, they're both more reliable than the rest.
I have a 2013 ford sxt. 5.0 v8 flex fuel. 4 wheel drive . Got it at 139,000 and it’s been the most amazing first truck I’ve ever had. Definitely worth it. Only problem I’ve had was an old serpentine belt that needed replaced but that costed me like $30 to fix.
Scotty, you made my day. My 2013 F150, 5.0 has 102,000 miles, quite a few of them towing 7,500 lbs. Runs great, get around 20 mpg on I-10. Have a spreadsheet on maintenance on all my vehicles.
What tires are you running and do you have a bed cover. I have M/T from previous owner with no bedcover and I get about 14.5. However, I am at 245k miles and still runs great.
I have the notorious 5.4L3V, but made sure I got one with the upgraded heads. Yes, at 200,000 miles I had to have a complete timing job with upgraded oil pump and roller rockers. But, the complete job didn't cost any more than a timing chain job on a Mazda. It gets 25mpg on the highway . . . uses zero oil . . .
@@donalddoty5768 Yep, highway miles on the flats. I drove 60 miles once, change of elevation from 7200 to 4500 ft above sea level, and averaged 30 mpg. It is the variable valve timing . . . in the city, only get 14 mpg.
Got a 99 F-150 5.4L offroad. I've ran 9 trails in Colorado over 13,000 feet. The truck is modified for off-road and has ran perfectly at these altitudes and never let me down out in the middle of nowhere.
I love the 5.0 coyote engine but I've got zero complaints out of my 240k mile trouble-free 3.5 ecoboost as well got one with 240k and another with 200k both working everyday without fail.
I think a lot of people that complain are people that DONT TAKE CARE OF THERE CAR. I'm talking about oil changes every 5 thousand miles and transmission flushes etc.
I have a 1994 Ford F150. I still remember the day we bought it brand new from Red Mcombs dealership. My wife talked me into it ! (Husbands listen to your wives) 268,331 miles. Sure it needs work on it every now & then., like anything else it needs maintenance. I really enjoy working on “ My truck “ ! It’s so easy to work on. I myself recently retired 2021 , so these days you can always catch me changing the oil ! My ford truck keeps me in shape 😎👍🏻
Currently have 2010 f150 with 4.6l 2 valve 352k miles only problem I've had is had to replace AC compressor other than that truck runs smooth no dash lights no rattling ticking or shaking. When the motor does eventually go I'm just going to get a new 4.6l and put it in
That's exactly what I would want. It's hard to find just a plain old 2wd. Nothing against 4wd but we don't get that much snow here. A good 2wd posi-trak will get you around just fine.
It took me six months of searching online to find my 2wd, low mi, Ele locker, with the HD tow pkgs. I live within 100 mi of the great lakes effect snow area but have never had a need for 4x4. With some weight in the bed I have no problem pulling thru 8” of snow. And besides my city has the roads plowed to pavement within 8 hrs after a big snow anyway
Used to watch This Old House when I was a kid. It grew to evoke a sense of comfort and nostalgia whenever I would come across episodes later in life. Now I'm getting the same vibe from these vids. I always learn so much, too. Thanks for uploading, Scotty! Edit: changed to "evoke". Thanks y'all!
I have a 3.5 ecoboost with the 10 speed auto. It tows well,Drives good, and is very fair on gas. I really like the truck . The extended warranty and regular maintenance should work well 👌
Yeah I liked my 2019 until the engine had to be replaced.... $13,000.00 only to have the transmission go out 75 miles later another 9 grand.... Never again!
Thank you for the info im looking at a 2003 with a manual transmission and V6 it looks good but i was worried about the 6....i have had bad luck with 5.4 in my 07 and my wife's Navigator
Those 5.0 engines are great engines. If I were to buy a newer F150 I would want the 5.0 V8. But my 2005 F150 with the 5.4 has treated me well so I can't complain
I’ve got 252,000 on my 5.4 2008 and it still purrs like a kitten. There was a problem with the timing chain tensioner on some of the earlier ones and the spark plugs breaking when you try and remove them but have someone that knows what they are doing to remove the plugs. As far as the timing chain tensioner, the key is to run full synthetic and change every 4,000 to 5,000 miles and keep your foot out of it. There’s some on the company fleet trucks with well over 400,000 miles with no problems
I agree that the conventional 5.0 and 4.6 Ford Engines are very high quality. I've driven two 4.6 Ford V8s to well over 240,000 miles and my wife made me trade them in as the rear main seal would drip which was embarrassing when we visited friends and relatives. Great Ford products, recommend as Scottie has indicated.
@@boomingtx I have a 2007 4.6 now. They only problem I've had is that the fuel rail became porous and I could smell gasoline. it's a very slow oozing of fuel so if you smell gasoline use a tissue to detect the fuel leakage. I'm not certain that the fuel leakage is enough to be dangerous but the smell of gasoline is annoying. I bought a new fuel rail as a result.
@@0neBadRabbit The problem always seemed to be oil and gasoline leaks. If you drove them on the highway mostly you might be able to drive them 400K miles but the interior and suspension would be worn, needed work.
Aren't I the clever one, buying a 2017 with a six speed. Last of the traditional fuel injection. I do love knowing that I stumbled into the best version. Thank you for the affirmation, Scotty.
Same here. 2017 xlt coyote. Service on the dot every 5k and the engine is bullet proof. I hear so many people complain about the 2018+ with the oil consumption and the 10 speed tranny going in every few months for tsbs or reflashing
I have a 2.7 second gen with the 10speed, and zero issues at almost a 100k. I will take the significant fuel mileage increase anyday, over a 6 speed. Scotty is a old school mindset, but he is wrong on a lot of stuff also. I have zero issues about my 10 speed lasting 200k. Most people don’t do maintenance, and you have to change fluids, filters.
Mines a 2012 4door 4x4 5.0L. 210k miles… I agree with everything you said in this video. However-and even thought the motor and trans have been pretty much trouble free- it’s EVERYTHING else that ends up being trouble. Things that you’d never expect: driveshaft, ball joints, fuel pump, water pump, cv joints, window regulators, sliding rear window, rear camera, door locks, headlights, maf sensor, TPMI, radio, windshield wiper motor, coolant system ‘Y’ connector, exhaust heat shield…. Just to name a few issues I’ve had
I used to have a 97 f150 with the 4.6. I bought it well over 200K miles because that’s all I could afford it the time. It was an excellent truck. Burned a little oil but as long as I kept the oil topped off it purred like a kitten! Pretty impressed for an old truck with that many miles
The 4.6 F150. is the best motor ive ever had in a work truck! Im currently sporting a 5.4L F150 it’s an amazing engine, but the 4.6L was WAY better on fuel economy
I have a 97 f 250 with over 200k on it. It doesn't leak any oil, it's in great condition and runs fantastic. Plenty of power and it's got the 8ft long bed! Very nice vehicle 🤗
06 F150 STX, 4.6 V8, over 230k miles. 1major service, regular maintenance, a couple alternators and batteries, it runs like a champ. Not a Ford fanboy by any stretch, but it's STILL well worth the 20k paid for it in early 07. R.I.P. New Century Ford.
I just just picked up an 08 with the 4.6. Low miles and super cheap. Everyone is scared of those trucks because the 5.4 had so many issues. The 4.6 is bulletproof. My 98 with the 4.6 made it to 345K.
E85 pays off in California. It was almost 50% the price of regular with 15% less milage. $3.30 while Reg was $6.00 a gallon. The MPG in major bumper to bumper traffic (I live in the greater LA area) has a lower spread around 10%. 13 MPG E85 vs 15 (in traffic)-17 (normal mix) with MPG Reg.
Great video as always Mr. Kilmer. I have a 2014 with the 5.0. It’s at 215,000 miles with nothing done except oil changes, plugs once and a water pump (did that preemptively while replacing belts and pulleys because why not?). This is hands down the best engine I’ve ever owned in thirty years of driving. It still runs like the day I bought it.
Can’t really agree with you Scotty. My ‘15 with the 3.5 EB has 130k and had zero issues. My favorite truck I’ve owned. Lots of power and amazing gas mileage
@@aidanstaley1234 I have a level kit and 33 inch off-road tires and with city driving in 4WD I’m getting 17.5. During the summer when I jump on the interstate it’s up around 19.5/20. Great overall truck.
The Ford 5.0 liter has always been a great engine. They'll run forever. I have a 4.6 with 230,000 miles on it and it still runs as smooth as you ever want to see.
Excellent review Scotty. I just purchased a 2012 F150 Lariat with the 5.0, 4x4. 82,000 miles, 2 owners. I changed all the fluids ( Synth) and filters. N ew plugs, new tires. Rides amazing on the highway. Sooo happy with this vehicle.
I have a 2013 5.0 F150 XLT 4x4. 123k miles and she's been great. Only serious issues I have had was a faulty gas pedal and the water pump got replaced. Everything else was easily fixed by me. Solid engine and truck
Because of your videos I still have my 2012 Ford F150 5.0 8cyl. It’s over 200000 miles and it’s running great. Basic maintenance is key! I say because of your videos I still have it is because whenever I see a potential problem I look up your videos to help me troubleshoot. If the repair is out of my skill set I send her in to a pro but at least I have an idea of the estimated cost for a repair. Thanks Scotty
@@jordangish6579 I have had up to 19 MPG. Changed tires and now I get less, about 17MPG. About 9MPG when I am towing my Lance model 1995 Travel Trailer.
I got the 10 spd in my f150 and my transit and I have to say that those transmissions make life easy. No searching or wandering for gears just has power for any speed.
California has the most E85 Fuel Stations in the Nation, My dad has the same exact truck , same color, it's got 203K miles, The coyote is Bullet proof. You could still buy a Coyote 5.0 today on the F150. 2022. Ford got it right
I wish they would all go back to having the hood open from below the grill. It’s nice to be able to examine EVERYTHING when you’re doing your maintenance.
I'm glad I bought my F-150 before Ford veered away from 6-speed transmissions in their less expensive offerings. My 2019 F-150 XL has a naturally aspirated V6 with a 6-speed transmission; and at a few months over 3 years old, it's still running great. No mechanical issues whatsoever.
I have a 2017 standard cab short bed with your engine and tranny and it has been totally dependable and I will not get rid of it! You're right, these are great trucks!!!
I bought a used 2020 XLT with the naturally aspirated 3.3. Had 19k miles on it. I've put about 900 miles on it and it's making a weird noise at idle sometimes. It's not a metal to metal sound and it sounds like it's coming from the intake. With a stethoscope I can hear it through the passenger side head. It's a low tone thumping sound, gets quieter when warm and goes away when revved. Can hear it in cab sometimes. Engine has good oil pressure and no overheating. Averaging 22 to 23 mpg. Plenty of power. Smooth running. With mechanics stethoscope it is more noticeable in the cat's and the intake. Barely hear it through the oil pan or bottom end. Any ideas? I really like this truck. I have not had it long but it feels solid and runs out great. Noises haven't changed for the short time I've had it. Its been on 5 150 mile trips with no problems. I even got 25 mpg driving 60 to 65 mph. I like this truck so much that if it was a major problem that required the engine to be replaced I would do it and keep it. Any ideas about the noise? Thanks for your time. PS the previous owner changed oil every 9k miles with a valvoline oil filter. I immediately changed it with Mobile 1 full synthetic and a motorcraft oil filter. I will change oil every 3k.
@@InJeffable Oh well. Hey man I appreciate your time. I've never heard anything similar to compare it to either. It almost sounds like air pulling a diaphragm thumping as it cycles if that makes any sense. I heard there is some kind of flapper valve is some ford intakes.
Love the channel Scotty. I have a 2012 F150 5.0 coyote in it. 4wheel drive 4door. Owned it since 2015. Has 185000 miles runs great. Oil changes on scheduled and all fluids changed. Never an issue. Did plugs and coils at 135000. I do alot of travelling with it and get 16.7 to 18 mpg. 36 gallon tank so I get along ways on that tank. Tow with it at times and is perfect. Thanks for the review
Get oz tuned it's flex fuel any octane still transmission loves their tuning best in the business. The key to running these coyotes long term change oil more frequently 5W30 If ran hard 5w50
I've had 4 Dodge/Ram trucks that all 4 went over 250k miles,2 over 300k miles. First one was a 1983 single cab, stick shift with a 318 engine, second was 1998, 4x4 auto with a 5.9, last 2 a 2006 and a 2015 are 5.7 Hemi's automatic 4x4. No engine or transmission issues. I change all my fluids as scheduled an d am meticulous as hell with maintenance. I'm a firm believer the most indie vehicle and last as long as you wanted to if it's properly maintained.
Two years ago, I bought a 2017 F150 4x4. Looked for awhile before I found this one. It's a 5.0 32valve V-8. I've gotten as much as 21 mpg hwy and 17city. Luckily it has the six speed tyranny because I've heard it's much better than the ten. 385hp. I love it!
@@tieoneon1614Those 10 speeds are littered with problems and most transmission shops won’t work on them including mine. A clutch kits alone costs 1000$ to build. The 6r80 is based off the the ZF transmission I believe and it’s bullet proof.
@@waterloo123100 Our work trucks, my truck, or anyone I know hasnt had any problems with 10r80 Ford or GM. Cuz of the trans I wish I had went with the NA 3.3 V6 instead of the turbo's.
My grandpa had a 2009 king ranch with a 5.4 3v, it had close to 300k and didn't smoke or make any crazy noises, it ran nice and smooth. The body was in pretty good shape, it had a little rust. The interior was in very good shape. I like mostly older Chevrolet trucks like the gmt400, but I have to give it to Ford, that 5.4 is a great engine.
I have one some are good if you take care of em some are junk. Mine has 200k on it with no major fixes, gotta keep fresh oil in them and be safe and do the timing after 100k miles, but yeah some of em run forever I'm guessing your grandpa took care of it.
@@cowgirlqueen2636 - It depends if it was the 5.4 v2 or the 5.4 v3 it was a design flaw that the plug holes weren’t treaded deep enough on the first generation, they came out with a fix for it and corrected it in later generations.
@cowgirlqueen2636 How terrible exactly? Mine has 208k and starts and runs like new. When will it be terrible? I'm waiting for the terrible to happen, keep me informed.
I have an 09 F150 xlt 4x4 4.6l...217,000+miles...only issue is BODY ROT...exhaust manifold bolts rotted away requiring partial engine removal to drill them all out to replace, rockers all but gone..no other issues
I have the NA 3.7 and I love it. It is a smidge under powered on the highway but around the city it does just fine. No turbos to go out and gets better mileage than the V8. Highly recommend.
Scotty, I just bought a 2011 f150 with the 5.0 and the 6spd, 2wd truck. I agree with EVERYTHING you said in this video. I'm an auto mechanic myself and honestly I personally disagree with many of your opinions but I am 100% in agreement with you here.
Since I own a 2013 F150 XLT W/the V8 Coyote engine, I could relate to video! My truck currently has 56K miles, and runs like a champ. I’m fact, every time I take the truck to the dealership for maintenance, the service manager asks me if I want to trade it in. My response, Hell No!
I still having a 05 f150 5.4 xlt in the road with 220,000k miles on it ,I just I'd the timing set work couple weeks ago and the truck runs like a Cadillac, sweet! I don't have to start making expansive payments on a new truck. 👍
I just finished the timing job on mine, 05 lariat 4x4 f150. 240k miles. Was not a fun job at all, but replaced literally everything. The tensioner blew and was bleeding off oil pressure and the chain ate the plastic timing guide like they all do. There is many flaws with the parts and design but if you change the parts, it's reliable engine 100%.
I bought a ‘19 5.0 V8 2wd. I love it so far. Put about 25,000 miles on it. Yes the 10 speed is wild. But it works. At least so far. Hoping for the best
I have a 2018 XL 4x4 work truck with the 3.3 290 hp married to a 6 speed auto. 74 thousand miles. Zero problems thus far runs great and is a very quiet truck. A solid feeling truck, too. Always had Chevys wanted to try a Ford. Been a great truck. Love it.
I had a 2018 f150 5.0 V8 Ecoboost Nothing but problems. I always accelerated using cruise control, Decelerated with cruise, picky on where I fill up, oil changes at 5,000 miles. Lemon lawed it
I've had ford's all my life only trouble I've ever had was heater core on early 2000 models of Taurus all my ford's have had over 200 thousand miles many with 300 thousand
Great info! I have a 2016 5.0 six speed auto mustang with only 41k! I will be keeping it! Was always questioning that 10 speed and how reliable it would be. Now I see why my car is still holding good resale value. 🙂 Nothing beats the sound of a V8!
Awesome video Scotty, I have a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 148,000 miles on it and still going strong and its a beast and it sounds like a beast with the Borla ATAK exhaust on it.
@MarcusWilmore That's a gem! I hope you get it running! I just passed mine onto my son who just got his driver's license 2 weeks ago. He drove it across the county with zero issues. It's his ride now.
I just purchased a 2013 XLT with the 5.0L engine and it runs great even at 250,000kms. I've driven the 10R80 transmission f150s in the newer models and I agree - half the time they don't know what gear they want to be in. Wild downshifts on the highway with very little throttle change. The 6 speed is much more consistent and as you said, bulletproof (with basic maintenance). I'm hoping to change out the sparks and coils on mine and keep good care of it, and it'll take care of me for years to come. Great video!
2011 f-150 Coyote, 6r80, original owner. It’s my baby. I did have the transmission wiring harness go, but otherwise, solid car. Change the fluids early and consistently, and it treats me well.
yep, I have a 2013 5.0 4x4 F150 with 120,000 miles and it drives like new. Love it. Did have ford replace the molded lead frame under extended warranty a few months back. Other than that zero issues.
The nice thing about the 15/17 F150 is it has an aluminum body, and the 5.0 makes it a near-perfect truck. The problem is they still cost 30,000 plus in my area.
I have a 2012 F-150 4x4 with the 5L engine with just under 60,000 miles on it. It's just now broken in good. I've made a few minor modifications to the engine, nothing crazy. The best thing I've added to the engine was an oil separator on the right side. It works very well and my throttle body and intake stay much cleaner. I'm pretty sure the back side of the intake valves are happy too. This Ford truck has out done by far all of those other Chevy trucks I used to own.
I love my 3.5 Ecoboost, I just went on a 1,000 mile trip, got 27.3 mpg, going and coming back home. This vehicle has great power, as well as towing power.

Great recap on this setup. I have the same as this one, but with 4x4 since I live in the Mountains and need the extra grip in the winter. I have towed 7500# behind this truck and it pulls like a dream with the trailer brake assist, is great too.
I have a 2012 F-150 extended cab with the 5.0 V8. 117,000 miles, 6 speed tranny. That's some impressive miles!
And if you NEED to drive a truck everywhere that's great, but the thing that gets me is the cost of gas over that period. At $2.50 gas and 15 mpg, you're looking at $80k!

I used to have a 97 f150 with the 4.6. I bought it well over 200K miles because that’s all I could afford it the time. It was an excellent truck. Burned a little oil but as long as I kept the oil topped off it purred like a kitten! Pretty impressed for an old truck with that many miles
probably because the early 4.6s had valve guide issues, pretty solid motors other then that though
I have 2003 Ford F-150 4x4 with 5.4L V8 and 194,000 miles. Still my daily driver. Very reliable just need to keep it topped off with motor oil. 😅
the old 4.6s are GOLD. same motor in the crown vic taxi cabs. No joke they can go 400k miles.

Agreed. I live in SD and E85 has been a lifesaver lately.
I think e85 is less noxious o out of the exhaust.

Sooo happy with this vehicle.
I have a 2013 5.0 F150 XLT 4x4. 123k miles and she's been great. Only serious issues I have had was a faulty gas pedal and the water pump got replaced. Everything else was easily fixed by me. Solid engine and truck
Yep, I had to replace my water pump and t connector twice. Also the steering joint froze up on me. But other than that, all good
That's normal after those miles to replace water pump. Mine had to be changed at 130k miles. Took me 20 mins and about 106 bucks to do myself.
Because of your videos I still have my 2012 Ford F150 5.0 8cyl. It’s over 200000 miles and it’s running great. Basic maintenance is key! I say because of your videos I still have it is because whenever I see a potential problem I look up your videos to help me troubleshoot.
