- He PUTS RESIN In DISH SOAP?! A Video by Daniel Cooper
Here is a Resin Art video of me experimenting with UV resin and dish soap, this will only work with UV resin sadly, unless you want to add one or two drops of epoxy per day to the soap! Which I doubt 😂. This is mind blowing and would look great for many applications and shapes! I love the effects here and will master the effect so the pieces are much more vibrant, I'm thinking maybe a holographic backing using film and peeling off, what do you think?
Please do NOT experiment with products which may be dangerous if mixed with resin!

Maybe I am the first to comment.
You sure are Bob 😊😊😊😊🤩🤩🤩🤩
And it’s a good comment too
Now if you have lots of dish soap in a tall glass... imagine the long drop you would get... Christmas tree ornaments. I love how the oval turned out!
Thank you 😊 Yes, lots more to come on this 😊
I was thinking along the same lines, but trying for a 1/2" to 3/4" (12mm to 20mm) drop and using resin colored with an opalescent powder. Add the necessary hardware for matching earrings and necklace.
I am just beginning my journey into the world of resin. Money and time puts a limit on what I can do, especially when it comes to experimenting. A late bloomer, I have now entered my 70's and still trying to keep up with 5 acres, 4 over demanding rescue dogs and 2 money burning equines. They are all a bunch of ingrates that feign affection at meal time. For these reasons, I am so grateful to you, Daniel, and other crafts persons of your caliber for sharing your knowledge and skills.
Awwwwwww she is the cutest droplet ever.
Thank you 😊
WTF? WOW!!! Tell me you're brilliant without telling ne you're brilliant!!!!
This is actually one of my favorite experiments you have done! I love it just being clear.
Thanks Robin 😊
I would love to spend a day inside your head, your ideas are so off the chart. I have to wonder if you get any sleep with all the ideas you must have floating around. I’m absolutely loving this. You could take moulds from these
Thanks 😊 Yes, it is hard trying to sleep sometimes 😂🤣
I love to watch you experiment and work! It's therapy for the soul!
It’s the “hehe floaters” for me ❤❤❤
😂😂
He he he "floaters" I am such a child, thank you so much for your content, I am hooked.
6:10 That is gorgeous like a 1000 tiny glass beads bonded together
Thanks, much better version coming in 20mins 😊😊
I think they are quite pretty. I think holographic vinyl or film would look pretty as well.
Thanks, yes, I'm thinking the film and peel it off after 😊
I love your imagination! I like it with or without the color😊
I really love the effect you get from this and I plan to try it as soon as possible. Thank you so much Daniel for another fantastic discovery! 😍🤗💞💙
My pleasure! Thank you as always 😊😊😊
I think that first heart is gorgeous!
You could make miniature light bulbs with those drops. This is so cool.
It’s wonderful to have the freedom and resources to experiment.👍❤️👍🌺
I watched the video with shampoo first. I had to come back and see how you started this journey. ❤❤❤
I love it when artist experiment because sometimes you just get something really beautiful and thank you for sharing it with us because I really really like that look that is cool😮❤❤❤
My pleasure 😊 Better version coming in 20mins 😊
Reminds me of a raspberry!! Cool.
Thanks Daniel.
Hugs from 🇨🇦
Put black behind the holographic heart. That powder needs a dark color. I love this! Going out to try it now!❤😊
I agree, I will try that soon 😊 Still lots to try on this, I'm thinking a holographic backing then peel it off next 😊
@@daniel..cooper I just made one! Not as pretty as yours but it worked. Are you using thick resin?
@Ali-H3444 yay, mine is low viscosity. I think the soap needs to maybe be the same or a little thicker than the resin, it's still early testing to know 100% but that makes sense to me.
@@daniel..cooperfantasy film?
Absolutely delightful!!! What a great experiment! 💕 Loved the Drop too!!!!!! 🤍
Thank you 🤗
First it reminded me of fish eggs, then when you pulled it out I thought "Raspberry?" Its very cool - keep it up, you mad scientist of resin!
Thanks! Will do! 😊
Hi Daniel....thank YOU for such awesome videos and experiments! Your experiment above has just given me an idea..........BUT I am sure it will take FOREVER! Mix a tiny bit of UV resin in different mixing bowls.....add different colors in each bowl IE one red, one blue, one green, one yellow etc. Once mixed, drop little droplets/balls onto a silicon mat and then cure them. In the end you will have a lot of different colored droplets/balls and then you either, put them together with resin OR use them as inserts in a mold. So it will look like a rainbow of colors. I think that would be super pretty - imagine in a heart? I think there is something to try! 🙂
They look amazing Daniel! You are amazing! UV resin and soup? How cleaver! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much 😊
Honestly thought it was beautiful without any color. Good job!
Thank you! 😊
Ho mon Dieu !!!!!!!!! mais c'est magique ça !!!! MA GNI FIQUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Merci Dan ❤❤❤❤❤
That is amazing. Taking my washing up liquid to my studio 😂. Thank you for showing this . Brilliant Daniel, like always.
My pleasure! 😊 Have fun creating 😊
I like the second colors best, but I do like the first one also. Looks like the sky would be the limit with this process. Lovely!!
Thank you 😊 So many possibilities 😊
I thought you would have lots of individual balls when you washed the dish soap away. It looks like crushed glass. Can’t wait to try this one. So many Resin channels are just filling up moulds traditionally and it gets a bit boring. With you I get so excited for the demold 😮
Thanks Melanie 😊 I was surprised I didn't lose any 😂
That texture would make an amazing dragons egg.❤
Loving your experiments. Compelled to watch more❤
Amazing!! I love that bubbles look!! My mind is racing thinking of all kinds of things to back it with now! I HAVE to try it. Well done! Yet another great experiment! Thank you!
Thanks, have a great vid coming later 😊
Fabulous. First time commenting. Quite the scientist. This one and the shampoo one are grand. I enjoyed them very much. I really want that bubbly heart in purple tones. 😉
Awesome! Thank you! 😊
I did it! It's so cool. My mould is now very, very clean. I put cats eye nail polish on the back and am going to put the black polish on that.
Yay, so glad it worked for you 😊😊 great idea with the cat eye! 🤩
I absolutely love this and I laughed out loud when you said floaters haha
Thank you 😊
I love experimenting it’s my favourite type of crafting! Cool results
I LOVE your experiments! That "rainbow" powder is a holographic powder, so you may get better results putting darker colors behind it. I know I usually do!
Thanks Naudia, yes, must try this next time, I did mention it but didn't end up doing it 😔
@@daniel..cooper I heard you mention it, yes. We all get distracted. Lord knows, nobody is watching/filming me, and I can't remember what I am doing half the time!
This is just how science is discovered, awesome job & thanks for sharing 😊
Amazing how art materials and art itself has bloomed since the internet opened the exchange of ideas.
Absolutely awesome beautiful gorgeous ❤❤❤❤
Another Amazing Result! 😊
Thanks so much Deb 😊 loving these textures at the moment 😊😊
That is amazing!!!
Maybe tint the resin before dropping?
So many ideas.
Thanks, yes, will try that soon 😊😊
Ah, Dan, this was SO COOL! What a great experiment! I would never have thought to use dish soap! 😊💕 Thank you for continuing to do -crazy- awesome experiments! You make things fun, and we *never* know what to expect next! 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Absolutely love ypur videos. I have a chuckle at the titles though, referring to yours in third person.
Oh my goodness! You’ve got me hooked on watching your experiments and I am amazed at how cool they turn out!
The effect reminds me of orbeez (water beads). Very cool!
This is so true, I had the same thought 😂😂😂
Amazing! Thank you for the ideas....can't wait to try them out...just as soon as I get the next round of commissions out the door and have a week of free time! Waving to you from Concho Arizona!👋
Thank you 😊 Waving back from the UK 👋
Caviar Hearts & Resin Dreams
Ich liebe deine Videos und Experimente , das ist wiedermal super genial geworden. LG aus Deutschland
Thank you 😊
It’s weird that this is where my mind went first (seeing how I hate seafood/sushi…) but the bubbles floating in the soap reminded me of that red salmon roe on sushi!😂
😂😂😂 someone else said fish eggs
@@daniel..cooper oh good-I’m not the only weirdo here. 🤣❤️👍
Another fabulous idea thank you. Think I prefer the randomness of resin in oil but that’s just personal preference 💕🦆
Thanks Pam 😊 Both very different in their own way 😊😊
I love your experiments and plan to replicate them. Have seen some polymer clay artists copy your dish soap bubbles technique. Very interesting.
Thank you, oh wow, I haven't seen any of those vids yet
Absolutely amazing. Don't know how you come up with your ideas but wow.
Thank you! 😊
The second is so stunning
Thank you 😊
You never cease to amaze me with your experiments. What a great idea. Thanks! 😊
Thank you 😊
I haven’t been on this wonderful channel in too long. Always coming up with interesting ideas!
Beautiful
Love ❤️ Love 🩷 Love 💙 all of your experiments!
Thank you 😊
Wow these are so cool
Thanks as always Kim 😊 loving this texture 😊
@@daniel..cooper it is really lovely
@kimshoebridge8192 thank you 😊 🙏
That teardrop is pretty
That’s pretty darn cool. What an idea. ❤❤❤ the heart. 🥰
Thank you 😊
So pretty. I Love your videos, I'm new to resin and learned a lot from your tutorials. Keep up the good work and thank you for all of your work
Thanks so much 😊
Stunning effect Danial brilliant thanks for this tutorial 👍😁
Before you put the stuff on the back it was beautiful looked like crystal
Wait till you see tonight's vid 😊🥰
Beautiful. Those are called "Interference" powders. Why not try coloring the resin itself with it, then drop it in with a small dropper? This will give you more color changing illusions.
Thanks, I may try that soon 😊
Maybe mix some maribou rainbow (I call it unicorn spit) into the back fill-in?
Daniel this is a wonderful Idea, can't wait to try this tomorrow.
Thanks 😊 Have fun creating 😊
Crazy idea with great effects 👍
This is pretty cool!!! Didn't know you could do this! Love how your mind works!
Neither did I 😊 thanks 😊
Amazing. I never would have thought dish soap would do that with UV resin.
Thanks 😊 Me neither 😊😊
Try using the glitter in the resin base before you put in the bubbles? That should highlight around the bubbles? I don’t know just a thought.❤😊
Fabulous!!! Love this!!!
Love this. 👏🏻
Very cool!
The texture is fabulous 😊
Thank you 😊
I’m loving this experiment! Awesome results! 👍☺️🇬🇧
Thanks Sue 😊
This is amazing.
FANTASTIC THANK YOU
Thank you too! 😊
That is beautiful
Beautiful!
Floaters 🤣🤣🤣. Great results
😂😂😂. Thanks 😊
Such a fun idea thanks for sharing
Love the effect!
❤ So very kewl. Thanks for always sharing!

This is a game changer! Love it!
Thanks Becky 😊
🎉❤ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY GORGEOUS 🎉❤
Wow, love this. So different and eyecatching. A definite have a go
Thanks Pat 😊
That is so cool! I'm glad you did this. I was thinking about trying soap after watching your oil video!
Thanks Carol 😊
what a great idea Daniel!
They look awesome😊
This is the most awesome Daniel!!! Thank you!
Love this technique, I can’t wait to try it❣️ Thank you for sharing your creative experiments.
This is SO GREAT! Once I’m done with my current project, I absolutely am trying this! 💖✨
Thanks Sydney 😊 Have fun creating 😊
Absolutely love this! I'm UV resin crazy at the moment so this was fun to see!! Great video and beautiful pieces!
Your bravery in experimentation encourages me to do some of my own! Thank you for leading by example :-)
That is crazy cool!
Thank you 😊
Love these!!!
That is awesome
And yet again you blew my mind 😮 loveeee❤it
Thank you 😊
WOW I love the droplet, that’s given me a huge idea I have been trying to work out for a project. I had thought oil might do the trick but this works out even better. Thanks for this trick❤️❤️❤️
I am going to have to give this a go I have some very nice mica powders that reflect stronger than them with blues, purples and greens I think they will be perfect for this but using a black backing.
This has been one of the best ideas but I’m also going to try making the drops in a tall glass of dishwashing liquid I think that will give the tail time to grow longer as it is sinking.🤔🤔🤔
Thank you 😊 Yes, that may work 😊😊
