- #181. Resin Art That SPARKLES Like CRYSTAL!!! A Video by Daniel Cooper
Here is a Resin Art video of me experimenting with UV resin and dish soap, this time adding bigger blobs to increase the magnification, my gut feeling worked and these pieces came out absolutely stunning! Much better than my previous smaller blob effects. I am naming this The Dish Soap Technique, I absolutely love creating new things with resin, plenty more to be created, watch this space!
Please do NOT experiment with products which may be dangerous if mixed with resin!

Truly a mad scientist at heart! Love it! Really want to try this! You’re experiments are awesome !
Thank you 😊 You should try 😊😊
AGREED!!!
trapping water in it is really cool, like the water trapped in an amethyst rock
Now u can take those hearts and make a mold of them! Truly fantastic!! 💜❤
Thanks Dawn 😊
I really like the trapped water.
The flat parts, before you add the extra resin thats a chance to add tiny bit of Mylar flake on the flat surface before adding the extra resin drop. Or you could add just a bit of the powder colour you have in the flat surface before the resin drop. You could make the drops different colours as a result. That way you’d have a couple colours balls on a nest of clear balls.
Oooh..I love these bobbles.. would make an adorable strawberry ❤
I love those! almost wish there was a way to guarantee getting water and bubbles trapped. :)
These 2 are gorgeous looking pendants. I can’t wait till my stuff gets delivered and I can start making some items. I’m learning so much from you Daniel, thanks so much for your videos.
I totally agree with you about the trapped water (and associated bubbles) being a feature. Some of my favorite actual crystal specimens have trapped water in them, and I love the make the bubbles move around!
I am completely addicted to watching your experimental videos! 😮
Glad you like them! 😊🥰
It confounds me that you can put it into soap, set it, it comes out, then dunk it into water and set it, things I never would have tried, this is fantastic!!
Mee too Sue 😂
LOVING THE COLORS AND SPARKLE
Thanks Lee 😊 🫂
I would cure the balls and gather them up. Then, when you have lots of the resin balls (washed and dried), put them in a new mould cavity and then pour in your resin, perhaps coloured this time. I think that would make a huge difference.
I should try it myself, actually. You've certainly got me thinking about experimenting... 😁
Oh my! I have a few ideas and can't wait to give it a try 💞 Bravo!
Thanks 😊 Have fun creating 😊
This is beautiful! I'm going to try that. My daughter will probably grab every one that I make. 😄
Thank you 😊 Be sure to hide some then 😂
Another winning experiment! The colors are so pretty. They look like opals. 😍
Thanks Lisa 😊
Very cool effect. It looked like frog eggs after you got all of the drops in there. Always love your experiments.
Wow! That is incredible. The bigger drops really made a big difference. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😊 Very welcome 😊 We all learn together 😊
Ooooohhhh! I'm about to have a fantabulous weekend!
Huzzah
I've been following you for many months now. You are "bravissimo". I will gladly try this technique too. 😊
Thanks so much 😊
This is truly unique. Your uv lamp has the same smudged patina as mine.
Thanks 😊 I have a new lamp but I don't want to get it dirty 🙈😂
@@daniel..cooperPLEASE TELL ME where to get a curing light that is nottttt very expensive?
I will be coming back when I’m not on 🧠 strain. These creations thus far are truly amazing. Look forward to trying
Thank you 😊
Words escape me! It is beyond stunning!
Thanks Anna 😊 So happy with this version! Many more with different backings need to be tried yet, looking forward to seeing others tests 😊😊
Another awesome video! Thank you!
I really like the one with the trapped water, such a great effect.
Thanks Sue 😊
Wow!! Daniel absolutely stunningly Gorgeous ❤ I love this technique. I have to make some grape look alike for a project. I will definitely use this technique. Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful talent and videos with us all. Take great care and keep creating and smiling 😊
Thanks Dale, grapes would be amazing! 😊😊😊😊
Thanks for the incredible video using this technique for UV resin. I now have an excellent idea of what to do for my Christmas designs for my bookmarks and charms. I also really liked the trapped water in the pendant and really think of it as an added feature. My idea is to take 2 heart halves, keep them hollow, mold them together, and turn them into a shaker charm. It should work out. Off to experiment.
Absolutely gorgeous incredible simple melted turn into a master piece
❤😮WOW! Out of all the experiments this is by far one I have to try! I absolutely love it! Thanks!
The "water cure" is a new thing for me. I need to do some research. These are gorgeous!!!
Thanks Judy, check #168 if you haven't already 😊😊
Absolutely GORGEOUS, Dan! 😍 I like those tiny bubbles...they DO add. 😊
Thank you 😊
Love this series on experimenting with all these different substances.
Absolutely gorgeous! My personal preference would be a plain bale. I’m just awkward.😂🤪
Thanks Sue 😊
Thanks for this. I've been stuck on a piece I'm working on and you just gave me a solution. This is so beautiful by the way. It's reminding me of something I had as a child.
Daniel, that's absolutely stunning, and thanks so much for sharing. I owe you several coffees for the things I learned from you!
Thanks so much Jimmy 🙏
Wow! That's exceptional! Bought my first coffee ever (actually 5) today! Your skills and efforts are so impressive!

Danielle, those are absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much! 😊
Alchemist of note...... 🧙♂️...... really cool ideas 👌
Daniel your stuff has come so far!! Pleeaaassseee do one, and then wipe it in a black, so that the black gathers in all the roundy bits (you know like you would if it was metal and you're trying to pull out the definition), i think it would really pop out!
Thank you 😊 Do you mean on the front?
Leave the bubbles!!! Love it!! You are AMAZING!!
Thanks as always 😊
Hi. I love your works. I don't understand the English so much but l would like to know if you use epoxi resin to made the heart before use UV resin. Tanks ❤
This is awesome! I’m going to try this tonight. Very glad I found your channel!!
Absolutely beautiful!! They would also look amazing w/ a dark backing. 🥰
Thanks Heather, so many to try 😊😊

Wow!! That really flashes the colors❣️ So Beautiful!! I’m so glad you kept experimenting as this made a huge difference. Thank you for sharing, it’s awesome 💜🤍💙💛💚
Thank you 😊 the bigger blobs really helped this time and definitely adding that Doming to the tops 😊
❤WOW, They are gorgeous, but I would use a black backround, it might even be possible to do a reverseable pendent like this, but having the normal colored one and a black, and to resin glue them together, what do you think,? I think it would work wonderfully.
Came out gorgeous. ❤❤❤ this. I’ve actually paid extra for water inside crystals. Now that is amazing when you think of how long ago those formed. ❤ the results you got on these. 🥰
It is amazing 😊😊 Thank you 😊
Oh it is so much fun watching your experiments. 😊
