morning legend,,,hey may i suggest you look into 3m scotch brite pads. for what your doing you want the grey one. its makes sanding down shapes really easy trust me please. we used to use the in painting industry, get the green one for first sand, gray one for matt finish. you can thank me later lol . cheers dan big love mate
This is awesome, thank you 😊 I will 100% get some and try, do they just come in colors or are they rated like a sandpaper grit is?
I hate sanding!
Love the sharing!
@@daniel..cooper They do! Different colors for different fineness levels, coarse, fine, ultrafine, etc.
Daniel, I don't think you are old enough, but when I was in elementary school there was a song about a "one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater." I thought of that when you lifted your hand off the octopus.
This is an awesome result. Respect to the original artist for this inspirational idea. (Edited to remove emoji)
It totally fits that song!
@carolynfrancis. I’m old enough and I still have the 45 to prove it! Lol.
Oh yes, now that's gonna be stuck in my head all day! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

There is no time frame to art, more so when experimenting... You Rock!
Thank you 😊 🙏
I think the little dots are cute. Your son is so lucky to have a dad who is talented, smart and who has learned from mistakes made. Love love your work.
Thanks so much 😊
The second one looks a lot better I would not change anything about it absolutely love it
Most beautiful octopus i have ever seen 💖🧜🏽♀️🐙
The octopus thanks you 😁 😊
@@daniel..cooper your art is stunning and your imagination shines the most irredescent delicious colours to share with us all 😁 thankyou 🧜🏽♀️
I’m excited to see the other molds. It’s a really cool technique.
I laughed so hard when you first showed what you had started doing on the head!
Looks absolutely amazing Dan. Longest I took was over a week making a one off picture of a multi coloured Highland Coo.
Thank you 😁 Oh wow! 🤩🤩🤩
Oh Daniel...I have both of those molds. See what you've just started now 🫣🫣you're a legend my friend ❤
Four and a half hours? That sounds a BONKERSLY short amount of time for this novice… it can take me that long to make a pair of UV earrings!! (Then again, I’m blind in one eye so can’t see what I’m doing half the time 😂😂)
Loving your work, Daniel, thank you for sharing this ❤
Thanks so much Liz 😊 🙏 💓
Dan you are to art, what Mozart was to music. You are the Picasso of your day. Never stop creating. And stop underestimating you work. " You are good enough "
His work is indeed sick and insane in the best possible way! I can look at his work all day long!👏👍
Wow, thanks so much 😊 🙏
Thank you 😁 😊
@caroljoelucy
Picasso was *weird,* ... Daniel is *WAY COOL!* (and smarter, imo). 😅

Amazing octopus! Incredible! Hours, days, weeks, months, years; art just takes how long it takes. It's up to the artist how long it takes.
Being a total beginner, I don't have the knowledge to spend a long time on a piece.
Love your work and the fabulous ideas you bring to us!
18 hours it was a canvas 3D design with hand-placed rhinestones and 3D figures with a lifelike sea bed. It is amazing.
Wow, Wow, Wow Daniel 😮😮😮that octopus is a stunna❤❤❤ Definitely there is no time limit to art, so create until your heart is content with the piece.
Thank you so much 😀
They are both gorgeous! What a great technique.
Awwwww I love it - I love the design in the front that is amazing
Hi Daniel you've done it again another brilliant piece, it's beautiful ❤
The results are stunning! It's worth every minute❤❤❤❤
Wow! That is so freaking awesome! I'm blown away by that color and the frosted look! I think this is one of the coolest things you've done so far! I can't wait to see those seahorses! I love those!
Thanks so much Lisa 😊 🙏 💓
I love the octopus ..a starfish will be pretty too. I never have a time limit for a project or piece. I understand that some pieces are more of a labor of love than others.❤
That's a great idea Kim! I need a big starfish mold now 😂
WOW THAT IS BEAUTIFUL TEACH
Hands you a coffee. Dan, I 've noticed you've been getting your 'jords wumbled' a bit lately. Are you getting enough sleep sweetheart? 😂 Wow, the octopus looks absolutely epic! Was thinking if the mold had 'eyes' that could be coloured to bounce color around through the rest of the head? Anyway, your final piece looked absolutely stunning. As for how long I have spent on a little art piece, 6 hours on a love heart mold in one sitting and enjoyed every second. It was so worth it too as it brings back memories of when my sister and I were little and used to build fairy houses together 😊❤
Thanks Rechelle 🥰 Definitely not enough sleep 🤣🤣🤣
We need one with a snow globe style head!! ❤❤
Absolutely amazing pieces.
That is totally AMAZING Dan. I LOVE it. I have the Seahorse mould, it's a beautiful mould 😊❤
OH MY GOODNESS HOW STUNNING 😮😮😮😮😮 LOVE how your brain works ❤❤❤
Thanks as always Tammy 🥰 🫂
Wouhaou !!! encore plus sublime , j'adore la première , mais que c'est beau !!! Tu es trop fort Dan ...MERCI 🥰💖💖💖💖💖
Thanks Claudine 😁 😊
Love this, Daniel. I’m looking forward to seeing what else you can achieve with this technique
More to come! 😁😁😁
I think it looks great just the way it is. Great work.
I love your passion for resin!! 🩵🩵🩵
I am hoping that one day you could collab with some nail youtube creators and exchange some techniques. For example you only show eachother some works and the other person tries to recreate the same effect. Kirsty Meaking has a lot of interesting techniques. And even today I was watching her nevest video thinking: oh I wonder if Daniel Cooper has tried this kind of technique.
Maybe one day 🥰 Cool, will check her channel out 😊
"Kirsty Meaking" oh, no! 😱 Another Rabbit Hole!
Argh! Off to check her channel, too.
Wow oh wow!! The possibilities ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Another stunner! Insanely gorgeous!
That is gorgeous!! I want to do a skull like that. Thanks once again for inspiration!
Wow 😯Daniel these are amazing 🤩😍 Professor Cooper does it again 👍💯 Thank you Daniel 🥰
You're so welcome! Thanks as always 🥰
Wendy done a simular sort of thing with her turtles and they come out great 😍
WOW, is all i can say. You sre such a talent. Your creativity is next level. There is no time limit for art, especially when it is perfection like this. Thank you for sharing, and i hope you are well, Daniel 😊
Thank you so much 😀
Wow, This is so amazing Daniel!! I love it!! ❤
Love them. The second one by far is my favourite. Unfortunately i can no longer work with resin as I have developed a horrific allergy to it. But i still love watching your videos.
Sorry to hear that 😢 Thank you for still watching 🥰🙏
It looks amazing, omg! I mean, first of all, Octopus, which always gets a yay from me! But then the colors! Beautiful work, as always! ❤
Thank you so much!! 🥰
For a non-stick assist, silicon spray is available. Automotive dept at Walmart, or parts stores. Sprays clear, let dry.
As always, great experiment Daniel! Look forward to the seahorses as well
Thanks Cindy 😁 😊
This is fantastic. I will never do it but I can appreciate it. That's too much work even for one. At least for me. Fun watching you. Great video.
As a glass blower who loves a matte finish, I want to suggest a fine grit sand-blasting instead of hand-ruining sanding.
Sand blasting units are available in many price ranges (US): it doesn't need to be top of the line for occasional use.
Awesome work Daniel!
Just came in to say the same thing!
Yes, will definitely look into a setup 😁😁😁
This is so beautiful. I think I would like him with his head undone. Those colors coming through are enough for me. The drops are cool too and it looks like you made a pattern on his head 😊. I made an octopus and have some axolotl I suspended in his head 😂. Might be interesting in this piece as well.
✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
Amazing, Daniel!! Instead of a cabochon in the head, you should do a sphere. That would look spectacular!!
Cool idea! 😁
Daniel you are a complete and utter legend, I love watching your creations, this is the most beautiful thing I think I have ever seen. Absolutely stunning x p.s I have the first shell mold you showed and have used UV resin in them x
You're wrong, it is brilliant 👏
Thanks so much 🥰
You know we are going to try it
You beat me too it 😂 I have that mould and knew it would look amazing. I don’t think you can have a time limit to art. I’ve spent days on some projects. Love your galactic octopus 🐙🥰
😮❤❤ but octopus is wonderful. I’ve never seen anything like that. This is the first for me and it’s the first time. I really looked at your channel, but I’ll keep following once again gorgeous😊
I love this. Just beautiful.
Very pretty 😊
Really awesome work. You must have the patience of a saint. Really beautiful.
Thanks Mike 🥰 😊 Only sometimes 😂
Amazing. I absolutely love the effect. I’m going to have to try this one, thanks Dan
Thanks Gillian 😁 Have fun creating 🥰
Absolutely amazing. You are very patient. I have to learn to take my time.
Thanks Amy 😁
Love the drops on the tenacles!
Thank you 😁 😊
Cool idea! Honestly I think the head would look better with just the tiny dots and not the cabochons, but there's certainly something there.
Thank you 😁
You are AMAZING, my friend. Keep it up, ❤❤❤❤
Thank you, I will 😁🥰
I cannot wait to try this
I love seeing you use larger sea creature molds. I love the small drops on it. Not sure about the larger cabochon. Thank you for sharing this cool art style. 😊
Yes, I enjoyed it very much. Reminds me of a heavy emerald green ashtray from when I was very little. Glass with perfect micro-bubbles. Dad was a regional salesman to high-end retail stores.
Thank you 😁
I have quite a few favorite glass artists who do amazing things with glass. My son collects glass art pendants so I have become familiar with some of them. Boscoe Art is one of my favorites.
Thank you 😁 Will check them out 🥰
So so beautiful
That is the most beautiful octopus I’ve even seen. What a stunning piece of art! ❤
It’s brilliant! Love your creative mind. 💜
Thanks as always 🥰🙏
Wow!! This is exactly what I always say, you've got to leave your mark. Everybody's doing these octopuses, but yours stand out. I absolutely ❤❤❤❤❤❤ this!!!
Wow, thank you! 🥰
❤❤❤ Makes me wish I was under the sea! It's absolutely amazing Daniel. Thank you!!❤❤❤
My pleasure 😊 Thanks Denise 😁 😊
Absolutely amazing and I will be definitely trying it. I have that mold. I also have a bigger octopus that I would like to try it on. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome Daniel.
Thanks as always 🥰🥰🫂
I love love love it!! Can’t wait to see the sea horses. Well done Sir Daniel, if you have any you don’t want I have a craft-a-van I’m decorating up as my craft space, and these would look lush entering into my resin space. Lol I’m a cheeky sod I know, but they are fantastic, you are the resin master, not scared to play, yay I like someone that’s got guts (was going to put balls but thought against it lol) anyway well done Sir.
Hugs xxx Ann xxx
Daniel the octopus they stunning and you right you never make piece twice. I spend maybe two hours on a painting that's just doing an abstract piece. I am new to the resin world so doing a simple keychain takes maybe three hours because I am very detailed about the piece. And I used UV resin mostly to get done with projects because I am doing small things nothing super big yet. Thank you for being continue inspiration to me and showing us cool projects like this every week. Tasha from the States 💜👑
Thanks Tasha 😁 😊 It's great that you take your time 🥰
I'm so in love with it !!! 😍😍😍 Awesome job 😮😊...
Thanks Krystal 😁 😊 🫂
Oh boy these are super cool. Really love them😊
Thank you 🤗
Wow! Amazing! ❤❤
Absolutely gorgeous ❤
Thank you! 😊
Hey TEACH, I have those molds too. I love Octopi.
There's no time limit on a piece of art. That's jawdropping. I love that Daniel.
Thanks as always 🥰🥰🥰
I am going to try this. You mentioned not throwing away pieces that didn't work out then said to use them as fillers for other products. Can you do a video on that? I would like to see what that means. Keep being AWSOME🎉🎉
it came out really neat looking ❤
Thanks Selina 🥰
It's beautiful 😍
As a wood carver dabbling in resin art the time scales are soooo different but I truly believe it takes as long as you want to give it - I’m hoping to combine the two one day but there’s so much i keep seeing here that I want to try 😂❤😂 I may never get round to it!
This is yet another stunning example thank you again 😃 for your videos
Thank you, I really want to get into wood soon 😁😁😁
Message if there’s anything I can help with 😃👍🏻
Flippin amazing
It's stinking great Professor 😅😂. It doesn't matter how much time you spend on a project.... It matters that you are enjoying yourself doing it. I love the way the octopus glows.... Beautiful
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks for the heads up on UV resin inhibiting the silicone cure. I have a small mold with multiple flowers that I want to replicate one of them so I can make more of just one design. Ive got 2 made so far in 2 part and my UV came yesterday as I was thinking I could speed it up. I guess not.😂
Excellent! Thank you.❤
Thank you too Jo 🥰🫂
This is absolutely stunning. Love, love, love the octopus. The colors are amazing. Love the trial piece as well. Now I want to try it. Thanks for sharing Daniel. Just my 1 cent.
Thank you 😁 😊 🙏
I have the same shell mold set and I haven't had any problems with bubbles.
Hi Daniel wow amazing 😍 love the idea its amazing thanks for sharing ❤ xx
Thanks as always Michelle 🥰🫂
This is so cute! It’s a great look 👍
How much time to spend on a piece of art? I personally think it’s much more about the enjoyment and the experience of creating something you love than the time spent doing it. ❣️🌹
Daniel, my ResinRocker email ad was all about Mr. Daniel Cooper ....resin PRO! Im so happy for your success 💞
Thanks Linda 😁 😊 🫂
This is incredible I love it awesome job Daniel
One word.....AMAZING
Thanks Cheryl 😁 😊
Fabulous!! I love your work!
Thank you so much!
I love your giggles 😂
😁😁🥰
Hello Sir. I just had an idea that might help you. You had mentioned in this video that you had not been able to find the octopus mold in a matte finish. I thought maybe you could use The Pink Stuff to de-shine the mold you have already. I know that there are several different varieties of The Pink Stuff but I have only ever used the paste that comes in the little tub. So maybe the different formulas have different degrees of abrasiveness. I even thought that a tube/straw brush would be helpful in getting into each of the arms of the octopus. Anyway,. I just had to share with you the thought. I am sure that there are many of your subscribers who have offered their own helpful ideas. So many ideas are zipping through my mind right now after watching this video. AHHH, the rabbit holes that I can't wait to happily lose myself in. LoL
Hope you and your family have a great, creative, and blessed day.
Yes, that's definitely a great idea! I may try 🤩
I really like the hand placed dots better then the cabs, not sure why maybe they liik more natural to me, either way that octopus is beautiful. 😊
Thank you 😁 😊 Would definitely look great without the cabs too 🥰
You have inspired so many, my hubby went out to get me some hair spray so I can try the latest experiment
I've tried the baby lotion one, but did not use enough. I can't wait to try the hair spray
You are a genius 🎉
Thanks for doing what you do, to help beginners like me as well as more seasoned artists
Thanks so much Jean 😊🫂
Ma è bellissimo questo polipo, preferisco il primo, io avrei fatto solo gocce piccole sulla testa, ma è bellissimo in tutti i modi. Bravo Daniel! 😍☺️
Thanks Gulma 😊 Maybe I added just a few too many 🙈😂
Love it! Maybe a marble shape in the head?
Thanks, yes, definitely 🤩
Love it!! I have all kinds of ideas as to how to make the octopus head more vibrant. i like your idea of the cabochon embed.. or you could do a layer of clear with a hint of chameleon powders mixed in.... or you could use alcohol inks or translucent color(s) in the head layer.... I'm sure you've thought of all these things but I'm throwing it out there anyway! Or how about a dicro film where the head meets the body and then again on the bottom?? Just ideas! Of course, most of these ideas mean you would have to cure in at least 2 layers but it could be worth it for what you're going for. I love all your ideas and have learned so much from your channel. I make better and better pieces (than I ever could before) because of this channel!!
Thanks Jennifer, will definitely try the film in the head next time 😊🥰
@@daniel..cooper cool I can't wait to see it!!! :)
(Even if it doesn't work well I am still curious lol!)
