  • #192. The BIGGEST Shift For RESIN ART!... A Video by Daniel Cooper
Here is a Resin Art video which I think changes a lot for resin art! I know this can be done with nail polish but I have never seen it done in this way with UV Resin and would ultimately be much cheaper than nail polish in the long run!
You could potentially pre make any color and store away for future use, again, this is still in the experimental phase, I will make some and store it away to see if it is 100% usable after storage, I can't see why it would not work! THIS IS EPIC!!!
Please do NOT experiment with products which may be dangerous if mixed with resin!

If you get green florist tape, you can just wrap them all at once, then it won’t be so bulky. When using the tape you pull slightly on it and it becomes tacky and sticks to itself. Great idea.

I’ve been using a curing lamp for over a decade doing resin nail art. I have a thin styrofoam that I’ve covered in a sheet of foil. This cures both sides at the same time as it causes the UV rays to bounce around.

I used to do wire dipped flowers back in the 70's The dipping stuff was colored and came in metal cans the looked like pint sized paint cans. I think you can still buy the stuff from china. But i used to buy it at craft stores here in the US. You would take the wire shaped like petals and dipp it, then when dry and wrap the green tape around them and a large gauge wire for a stem. I used to make them for my mother. She loved how they looked.

You have given me so many ideas, I don't know where to start! There was a dipping flower craft that I had back in the early 70's I've been wanting to do. This should do it! I love the look of double dipped!
Have you thought about dipping all your petals and leaves, then setting them in something to hold them so they could all cure together? I betcha plasticine clay could work!
Would you believe I've had a dragonfly twisted in wire to be dipped for months now! Okay, so now I have to buy glue... When you're a crafter, there's always one more thing you need to complete your projects..😅
Keep at it! You have a lot of great ideas!

Thank you 😊 So glad it helps, yes, I need to get some Styrofoam or just some polystyrene from some packaging to hold them with 😊😊😊

Super! And, by the way, the flower is sweet. Just wrap the stem with florist tape. lol I hope you're keeping meticulous notes!

Awesome. Your experiments are money saving. You can imagine what dipping resin goes for. You are the bees knees. Just make your petals, and leaves at the top of the wire, the you only have the single wire to wrap, instead of how you were doing it. I watch a few channels that do this type of resin art. Very pretty.

In 1971-1972 , I use to play with a resin that did the same thing. No lamp is needed. I ALSO MADE FLOWERS , much larger than what you have. The color was dark purple. Enjoy. !
