That diode is near the solenoid, in the harness. It goes between the blue positive solenoid activation wire & the orange negative solenoid activation wire. Keeps the activation wires from "seeing each other". This is to protect the solenoid & other polarity sensitive components.
Well already got a new pedal, it came with a note warning not to install until you check the diode. There is a diode test on your multi meter, do a search it is pretty simple, only allows energy to go one way (justin miller) youtube. This particular cart, the solenoid does click, but wont do anything until after fooling around with the pedal. then it may be ok for a day or till you go to start it again. Had a voltage regulator issue a while back, then this started. dont know if that is related to my issue or not. Hope my diode is where everyone else's is in the other harness. don't look forward to tearing it all apart. Excellent content, wish I had pics of where the diode is exactly
We have only found a couple of these, both in different places so you have to follow your main wire from the solenoid back? Wish we could be more direct or to the point of where it is?
Jason, what wire is that diode on? Where does the wire go to and from? I have looked where you said the diode is (by the wall) and found nothing. My cart is a 2015 Presidence gas powered cart and has the exact fault that you are describing. Plse help me out.

Hi Jason. I have stripped the harness back to the wall of the body and have found no diode. Do I need to remove the body trim some how? I am new to club car so can you give me more details on the location of the diode? Mine is a 2014 Precedent gas
Jason maybe you can help me. I have the same problem you described however this cart was cut in half and stretched and the wiring harness was cut and is in a mess. It will not click and when I try to jump the orange wire and green wire it blows a fuse. I am thinking they have crossed a wire but I cannot find a wiring diagram on the 2013 club car Precedent gas cart. The wires plugging on the accelerator has 5 wires and I am not sure where they all go to see what is wrong. Any help you can give would be appreciated. My best friend bought this cart as is and I am just trying to get it running.
The fuse blowing is a sign that the diode is blown, as mine did just that. Diode is the the harness inside of the engine wall, wiring that goes to the pedal controls, mine is 2014 model precedent. Diode cost me $1.13. The diode was in harness near where the harness splits in 4 different directions.
On the diode... How far along in the harness will it be, do i have to remove the body where the seat is at. Also, the link to the diode.... (2005 club car precedent)
We found this one right at the body on the inside so, you may have to strip the harness back to where you can see it? This is the first and only time we've had to look for one.
Great content Jason! I have a 2015 precedent that runs on maintenance but not on operate. I’m thinking it’s the shifter micro switches that are bad. Any advice in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! Keep up the good work!!!
Sorry for the delay. We have found that all do not have this diode? Defiantly a short there with fuse blowing. Feel free to give us a call to go over some things if you still have this problem. 276.632.8905
Found diode today its in harness near where Jason says but the harness turns and goes to pedal switches. Disconnect the choke lever and remove the trim along floor board. Its crimped inline then heat shrinked.

Hi, I have a 2019 Tempo, Where might the diode be located, I have searched the right side floor wiring and had no luck finding one.
We have only found a couple of these, both in different places so you have to follow your main wire from the solenoid back? Wish we could be more direct or to the point of where it is?

We found this one right at the body and floor board. You'll see the track the harness sits in under the floor mat.
Where can I purchase this diode from please. I have many carts with this exact problem the golf cart dealer in my country doesn’t have it in stock

@@cartsmarttv Ok thanks

Thank you, sounds like could be the tow run switch? Haven't ever seen that.
What way does the diode flow if by chance you remember
Pretty sure was front to back?
Need a video showing exactly where this diode is located!
We haven't had one since. This one was right under the body at the floor board.
I took all the tape off and didn't see any diode. I am not getting any voltage to the front of the golf cart. (electric 48V)
Will need to back track from where you have power toward the key switch?
@@cartsmarttv I will try this evening
I have a gas president. Same issue, no solenoid click. I’m buying some of those diodes on Amazon. Hope it fixes it
Can you inform if it works because i bought some of those diodes from amazon and it didn’t work for me
I put a new one of those diodes in and it did not work.
It ended up just being a bad solenoid. 😂
Previous dude said it was brand new.
where exactly did you find it?
Sorry we didn't show that. It is in the harness on the passenger side floorboard right at the body, heading under the seat. Hope this helps.
So I have to strip all the tape to find it
Have a club car that won’t do anything. We have power to headlight but pressing pedal it does nothing
@@rhondaholeinoneon16 see if this one helps? ua-cam.com/video/3KZu9ip9WKw/v-deo.htmlsi=-CLIfmHGfyq9GV24
Everytime i jump the orange and green wires for the pedal sensor my fuse blows
Also i tracked the harness front to back and havent found any diode

No, it is inline of the harness right under the golf cart body and floorboard.
How could I keep my engine running when I let up on the gas pedal
You would have to change out your key switch and rewire the system.
