The realism in this diorama blew my mind. The details are absolutely on point when compared to old rotting homes I can easily find not too far from where I live. The way rot damages the wooden facade, to the way the discoloration on the porch deck reflects how various species of mold and moss invade such surfaces.

I wish I had seen this video about 3 years ago, before I started building my human sized goat barn. I could have used this method to build the framing to see what problems I might encounter. It would have stopped me from making mistakes with 12 ft studs rather than with a 12 inch miniature. I like miniatures because each one may contain a scene, house, or even an emotion, take up only a tiny place. Wonderful video. I need to create a miniature version of my goat barn, at least one paddock, and the various people, tools that are needed in my own barn. I raise meat goats, which are quite large, strong, and curious. I have done some miniature making. It is rewarding when it comes out looking like what I envisioned.

So Awesome of a job, I have a 1860...1901 on paper home that has been built onto over the years, this so much reminds me of the base house that I call home. The floor beams were hand chopped with a axe. My house was the same at its roots, with a front and back porch of the same size and a elongated window beside the fireplace, the doors were lined up a front and back ( gunstyle) to allow air to flow thru, set more to the right of the location in your model. I love the job you did here very nice work, so realistic, kudos from me and my house!
Whar a fantastic, realistic tutorial. Your instructions were so clear and easy to understand. Thank you so much for all the time you devoted to this and sharing it freely. The finished house it truly a work of art.
I loved watching this video. It looks very real once outside. It is a very realistic cabin inside and out the yard was a perfection as far as I am concerned. First time watching anything like this. A+ in my book.
Very good! Accurate and correct details. I’m an old builder; your creative steps is quite similar to the actual construction techniques. The shingles reminds me of crawling on a roof tacking down shingles and trimming them with a hatchet to fit. The center stone on the fireplace was usually a little larger but accurate representation!! The keystone held the slanted stones together by locking them into place; the weight pressed on the keystone and ties the structure together. The mantle beam helps too, but the keystone holds the masonry together and insulates the wooden mantle from the fire. (Your artistic skill shows that you understand these things, I’m just dropping information for viewers who may be unfamiliar. Beautiful!!🙏♥️)
Wow thank you so much for your kind words! I like how the rotten sections came out too. Also, I’m a big fan of your work so your compliments mean a lot to me. Thanks again!

Absolutely amazing. Definitely the most realistic diorama I've ever seen.
Thank you!! That makes me so happy, thanks for your kind words!
I would hope you can sell these to museums so kids on school trips and adults could enjoy looking at something like this, just amazing work you have done. Bravo!
Thank you so much, I’m glad you like the diorama!! And that’s a great idea!
I am stunned. 😮
Truly, this is a work of art, 100% realistic, warm and comfortable. I would live in this cabin, if it were human-sized. I feel COMPELLED to subscribe, and follow your channel. Thank you, for sharing your knowledge, skill, and fantastic results.

Reminds me of my grandma house 🏠 hers had windows on each side of the door 🚪 😊 she lived there until the early 80’s. It was her mother’s house after her husband passed away.So many good meals and memories were served in that little house 🏡 . Thank you 🙏🏾 for posting this 🫶🏾
Hi there, thank you for sharing that with me! I’m so glad this was able to bring back some good memories. Thanks again for watching :)
I was fascinated watching how you went about creating each section from scratch and aging it. The end result is amazingly realistic. Your work is very artistic and well executed.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m happy that you enjoyed seeing the process. Thanks for watching!
This is absolutely incredible! Looks just like some of the houses we have at the museum I work at. The detail on this is insane
Thank you, I’m glad you like the details, thanks again for watching!
0:25 ; that's INCREDIBLE! 😲
Thank you!!
Very well done,I appreciate the detail and patience you employ in these projects. My son and I made a covered bridge, log cabin, general store, barn, and a grist mill replica from Cade’s cove Tennessee, for 4H projects and it was a very rewarding time in my life.
Thank you so much! And that sounds like an amazing project you and your son built! You should be very proud! Thanks for watching :)
Holy crap this is fantastic! I love how the wood grain chipped paint came out.
Thank you so much!! I loved chipping the paint, such a fun process!
Un trabajo superlativo y bien hecho 👌👍🇪🇸🌿

This reminds me of all of the old cabins and shacks in the rural areas of my home state (South Carolina). Love!!
That’s awesome!! This one is based off a cabin outside Savannah, so very close to SC! Thanks for watching :)
When outside, you would not know it was a model, looks like the real thing. Best compliment you could have, as it looks so real xx Amazing, i love it x
Thank you so much for your kind words, I’m so glad it looks real! Thanks for watching :)
Finding your channel has been the best part of my crafty day!!! I’m hooked! I’m going to watch ALL your videos. I love that you’re a great teacher and show all the tricks. Most UA-camrs are just show offs but are not detailed in their explanation. You’re amazing. Thank you and God bless you.
Wow thank you so much!! I’m so glad you found my channel, and it makes me super happy to hear my tutorials are easy to understand. Thanks again for your kind words!
@@smolworldworkshop Thanks for the quick response. I woke up this morning with all of your ideas in mind. I created a little barn house with your tricks and they made a huge difference. I’m sitting here typing this with paint and dried glue in my fingers. Lol. I hope you post more videos soon, I’ll be certainly waiting. I’d join your patron channel but I’m currently not working so I’m sorry I can’t contribute.
Anyhow, thanks again and I hope you have a fantastic day. 🙏❤️
@@wonderlucha thank you so much for all of your support and kind words!! Good luck with your barn project, and I’m glad some of the techniques are helpful!
Amazing work! Can't wait to try out the distressing techniques you showed.
Thank you!! The weathering was my favorite part! Good luck with your projects!!!

Thank you!! I first started making miniatures when I was 7, and I’ve been hooked ever since! Thanks for watching :)
I loved watching this video. It looks very real once outside. It is a very realistic cabin inside and out the yard was a perfection as far as I am concerned. First time watching anything like this. A+ in my book.
Thank you!! I’m so happy you enjoyed the video and liked the diorama! Thank you for the kind words and for watching the video!
Amazing work! I would have never known it was a model just looking at the photos from the park.
Thank you!! I’m glad it looks realistic!
Awesome! The block to keep everything square is brilliant. Spackle for mortar is an easily found medium. Thank you!
Thank you!! I’m glad you found these techniques helpful!
Thanks for sharing the logic behind the construction - very cool to hear!
i love how much thought you put into these and i love these long videos! please please make more i’ve watched them all 😊
Perfect❤
Beautiful work. I love the craftsmanship.
Outstanding result! Very photorealistic. I particularly liked the details on the rotten sections.
