Thank you so much!! To be honest I wasn’t sure how the stones would turn out. But you’re right, it definitely pays to trust the process! Thanks for watching :)
Amazing work on this! Applying the grout between the stones was very satisfying, and gave a great result! Also appreciate the makers paradox being features, where no matter how accurately and precisely things are planned, modeled, printed, and cut, somehow there is always random gaps that appear! It's just the way
Wow, wow, wow! My mund is blown. If I didn't see this video, I would have thought this was a real building. That last shot by the ocean looks so realistic.
Using this as inspiration for my NMS build(s). Sooooo pretty!!! I have so many beautiful archipelago planets with blue skies, blue seas, and gorgeous white sand, but 0 ideas on what to build! Your dioramas are so detailed and motivate me to get back to designing and building xD
Amazing work! Great commentary and techniques! You really inspire me to start building some small dioramas! I am familiar with 3d printing and I love that you using it in your projects! A small tip is to remove the supports after applying heat with a hair dryer or not so powerful heat gun! ( hot water works too ) Thank you and greetings from Greece 🇬🇷 !
Thank you for the nice compliments and for the 3D printing advice! And I’m so glad to hear you’re inspired to make some projects yourself!! Good luck with your dioramas :)
Ive never been to Greece, but i adore the traditional blue and white simplicity. In fact, I'm alreading planning Greek style decor for the new home we'll be living in.
Fantastic work. Something similar to this would make an excellent backdrop for photographing 1/24 scale model cars. I will definitely need to consider something like this in the future.
Thank you!! And yes dioramas are great for model cars! I’m not sure when I’ll get around to it, but I’ve had a few diorama ideas for my model cars that I’ve been saving
This has inspired me to take up diorama modelling. I'm possibly insane, but I am going to start with a copy of your Santorini diorama! The reason being that I have 4' long photograph of Santorini that has an large unused shelf under it, a diorama like the one you created will complement it perfectly. Thank you so much for inspiring me and for the amazing work you have done. Thank you also for explaining each stage so well. I have subscribed and hope to see more of your work.
That’s awesome!! I’m so glad this diorama inspired you to make your own, that means so much to me :) also thanks for subscribing and supporting the channel! Good luck with your project!
To speed the process, I would use the styrene scraper technique to apply a "scratch coat" before doing the stipple. This way you could build up the surface in one coat. Also, I would print the table leg parts flat and super glue them together as assemblies.
Beautiful work. Thank you for explaining techniques you use. For a extreme beginner like me with no artistic experience it's a great help. For stucco texture I would just paint everything white or little off-white paint Mod Podge combo for base and then apply one layer of Mod Podge-Plaster for the actual texture.
Thank you! I totally understand about 3D printing being a bit expensive. Thankfully the prices of older but still really nice printers are dropping as newer ones are released. So hopefully you can pick one up for a good price sometime soon! Thanks for watching!
20:10 Ha, I think anyone who has been to greece even once understands why using individual stones here makes more sense. It's just easier to replicate the look this way honestly. Great work tho. Definitely stealing some techniques, as I'm working on a greece-themed diorama (Although Skiathos instead of Santorini, but hey) for a christmas gift. It's fascinating to see how well you planned it all out. I usually eyeball things a lot more haha
I've never used a 3D printer, and out of curiosity, are you able to recycle the supports? Just seems kind of wasteful and makes me hesitate in investing in one. But, if the supports can be reused, as in melted back down and fed into the machine that would change my mind. If not, then I'll have to see if a company does that in my life-time, otherwise, I guess I'll just be sitting here watching you make these rather than doing it myself. I love doing things like this though, back in the 90s my boyfriend and I used to play a lot of D&D and AD&D so we made a lot of our own game sets and painted a lot of figures. It's something I've always enjoyed doing.
That’s an awesome idea! I haven’t done action figures since most are too large for this scale, but I’ve always been a fan of action figure photography!
Truly beautiful, but I am just wondering why you use so much pink foam to make those steps. I would just have made the steps and leave the structure hollow. Much less material needed.
Thank you so much! And yes you’re right, you definitely could cut away material below the steps! I only did I this way because there’s less cuts meaning I can make it quicker! Thanks for watching :)
hello, i’ve loved watching a lot of your videos and now have been inspired to make a small build! I’m in australia, but where do you purchase your foams/ materials?
Thank you so much for watching the videos, and I’m happy that you’re inspired to make a diorama! The pink foam I use insulation foam board by owens Corning. I buy it at Home Depot in the US. I’ve seen some Australian makers use the same type of insulation foam, Luke Towan features a similar foam in his videos, but it’s a lighter pale yellow color, so you might wanna check out his channel! The black foam core I get from Blick Art Materials or Hobby Lobby. I’m sure you could find similar boards in art supply and craft stores in Australia! Hope this helps!
Have you heard of the Bevall? It's a really cool tool made for craft knives that makes it super simple to cut consistent angles and depths into foamcore and other materials. I've been following the guy who designed it on TikTok for a while.

Lovely job! Had a neighbour who decorated the whole exterior of his house in the gorgeous white and blue Greek island aesthetic. Used to look at it in nostalgic admiration whenever I walked past - memories of idyllic Greek summer holidays. And then he sold it, and the new owners not only scrapped the colour scheme, they clad the building in fake stone. 😱😱😱
Beautiful! I get so tired of dioramas of dilapidated buildings from the Depression that are overdone on YT. You nailed the colors and scale, and the flowers and shrubs accented the bold blue and stark white exteriors perfectly. I've subscribed.
What a refreshing change from boats, planes, tanks and trains. You have a incredible eye for detail without over doing it. Simple beautiful work! Thanks for sharing your incredible talent.
That stucco is amazing. I don't doubt the time that went into it for a second. I've only made a small fireplace with spackle covering it for a stucco like appearance and I was sure it was going to be the death of me 😅 Those flowers also are an amazing idea, they really do look leaps and bounds better than the foam ones. Seeing this finished out in the sun with the shadows casting naturally and the wind wiggling the plants... amazing work, truly.

been fron Corfu Greece you nailed the design and authenticity of the materials you used awesome work ! By the way can i ask where do you get that black foam?
Thank you so much!! I got the black foam board from hobby lobby! I believe Blick Art Materials sells it too, but it’s more expensive. Hope this helps!!
Gorgeous! The attention to detail is spectacular. Little side note, if you print those tables upside down you’d minimize overhangs and the required supports meaning less work for you. I’ve never seen someone 3d print flowers like that before either, the little printed details are just stellar!
Also, when taking supports off, you can try the hot water trick. Put the part in hot tap water for 10-15 seconds and then take it out and it should be easier to pop off the supports. But if you put it in longer it might start to warp.
Your texture method is actually vary accurate to how some of that is really done. The tool used often is called stomp brush or some say slamp brush (Slap/stomp).
