It only took 14 seconds of this video for me to be absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the details. The two different color temperatures of the lights inside? Are you kidding me!? It looks SO GOOD. Now to watch the rest of the video and be amazed from start to finish 😂
How perfect! If I were shorter I would insist on eating there! lol When you see all the details and work involved, it does not make any difference to me how long it takes to show them. They are worth waiting for!🥰
Another excellent seminar on diorama-making from Carson. I really admire the diversity of your dioramas! Thank you for your videos, your outstanding work and the creative inspiration !
Thank you very much for your kind words and support! I'm glad you like the diversity, I enjoy building different styles of architecture because I feel like I learn more techniques that way. Thanks again for watching!
Thank you so much! Funny enough, I've had a 7-11 designed in CAD since 2020! But it's part of a larger building that requires a large laser cutter to make. So I plan on making one someday, just not entirely sure when. Also thanks for watching and for all you support!!!
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! And I sure hope he would like it, I was so shocked to hear about his passing. I was mid way done with this project when I first heard about it. Thanks for watching
Lauren!! Thank you so much for all of your support, it means so much to me :) I appreciate your kind words as always, and thanks for keeping me motivated during these builds!
This is honestly one of the greatest sets I’ve ever seen! True artistry! Thanks for creating it, and posting the video! Can’t wait to see what else you have done
My grandpa was a regular at waffle he had all the pins that the waitresses had, had a giant cup for coffee, and had a great relationship with all the staff. Good times
Insane man, the level of detail is unparalleled. You should solicit some car modelers from UA-cam to send you one of their builds to pose in your dioramas.
Thank you! For now, most of my cad work is done in the free version fusion 360. I design the whole building, along with 3D printable stuff there. Then, I save the elevations as a PDF, but because it's the free version, it doesn't retain its scale. So I import the PDFs into Adobe Illustrator, scale them up, and I also design all the graphics there too. I haven't made a video of that process yet because I don't think its the most efficient way of doing things, but I'm just using the programs I have on hand at the moment. But thanks for the suggestion, I'll probably show some if it in the future!
Thank you!! I designed and 3d printed them a few years ago! They're supposed to be based off of the Advan Super Racing V2 wheels, but they're not exact. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much, I don't have space for a whole layout, but my last long format video was actually a G scale wild west town that has an old locomotive in it!
Thanks for watching my videos!! A Kmart would be really cool, but I'm afraid it would take up a lot of space haha. Maybe once I get a larger working space :)
Excellent craftsmanship! The attention to detail is incredible! This is one of if not the best dioramas I have ever seen! Love the videos look forward to watching more!
the reason why some parking lots will be different or similar depends on where they are because parking lots are overseen by local authority (aka state or township governing bodies)!! it’s why your references won’t always look the same :)
That is IMPRESSIVE!😁 Ingenious use of a 'For Rent' sign for the ceiling! Someday I must built a miniature Hungry Jack's with everything including the food and the playground!
Thank you very much, the for rent sign was kind of a last minute decision and I'm glad it worked out! And that would be so cool, I hope you build it because that sounds like a fun project. Thanks for watching!
I design the graphics in Adobe Illustrator, and then I usually print the files at the self serve printers at FedEx. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
Your work is beautiful. Just a note… bd careful with plastic wrap and lacquer paint. Plastic wrap and plastic bags damage lacquer paint by etching the surface and leaves marks that look like water rings. The only way you can fix it is by either buffing (glossy paint) or sanding and repainting
as amazing as this looks, it looks too clean. the best waffle houses look like somewhere you wouldn't want to eat. but very accurate at the same time. amazing job yet again.
Thank you so much! I agree it looks a bit too clean, I was just running out of time and had to get the video out, so I skipped the heavy weathering. Thanks for watching!
@@yaffa2099 the (unfortunate) joke with waffle house is that they never close. blizzard, hurricane, 2:30 am, flight clubs, shootings, etc. if they do close that's a yikes.
Yes!! I'd say the vintage city street diorama that I made in a previous video has a more similar vibe to Nighthawks. I built interiors for that model, but it wasn't too detailed and felt kind of empty which reminds me of that painting. Thanks for watching!
For your parking lots you should add oil drops from where the cars were parked
Also some cracking of the parking lines, however that may be able to be done
this is a clever suggestion i think he will if he sees this comment
