Robert is such a nice guy.
If anyone hasn't listened to the Dale Jr Download episode with Robert Pressley it's definitely worth a listen
Agreed. That was a great listen.
just found you in my feed. what a great idea for a series. i will be watching all these over the next couple days. thanks
That’s awesome, thank you!
Fun video! So many what could have been moments for a lot of drivers.
Skinner, Musgrave, Trickle, Kenny and Mike Wallace, striklin, Mast, Matty D.
Not as many drivers now a days linger, if they don’t win right away. Unfortunately, all about that sponsorship money.
I’ll throw in Dallenbach as well.
Definitely, it shows how tough it really is to win in Cup. The window seems to be closing for Matty D., too bad a sponsor won’t jump on for him, he has a notable amount of fan support.
Always loved his cartoon network car!!
That was a cool one!
THE most underrated NASCAR UA-camr I've ever seen
Thank you, that is very appreciated!
Great video.
Thank you.
Great vidéo i love your format of vidéos on the severals drivers vintage of the winston cup and BGN of the time !
Greetings from France , god bless you !!!
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying them!!
I saw all these races when did when i started watching since i was young kid or preteen now i recall i remember this semi bit but again a while back 38 now but Robert Pressley is and has always been a fav forme around top 10 fav drivers of all time maybe even around 6th i always was a fan of Robert forget where he lies in top 10 of all nascar drivers i routed for #1 being Dale Jarrett & Hut Stricklin tied. Shame he didnt get a bigger team ride the man had talent. Even tho many think of him as a after throught. Loved when he won in truck series :) Cup i think i got into it around 1994 or 1993 so yea missed his bush 1991 1992 era i was still a kid i was born 1983 so but love Robert PRessley wish more people knew his racing career and Huts.
I was at this race!
That’s awesome!
He didn’t luck into it, he passed some great drivers, impressively I might add.
Agreed. And in much lesser equipment.
New sub. Awesome videos man.
Thanks, appreciate it!
Had Pressley stayed in the #77 Ford past 2001, I believe he would have had at least 1 win in the Jasper machine, maybe 2.
I was rooting hard for Robert in that 77 Jasper Ford that day.
Would’ve been great if he pulled it off.
@@zacharyleffler Absolutely!. I'm glad you gave him kudos for doing what he did in limited equipment. He was like Schrader... truly underrated.
Definitely! That’s a big point I try to make with this series. A lot of these guys are top tier talents, it’s just insanely hard to win at the cup level. Have to have the equipment and everything has to go right.
@@zacharyleffler I appreciate this series you are putting together. I am subscribed now.
Thank you!
Next April Fool's Day, you can do one for Danica Patrick. Lol
Pressley and Jasper never had the equipment to run in front . It was always a struggle for him .
Definitely, Pressley in a top car in the early 90s especially in short tracks would’ve been a force to reckon with.
Of all places in my own backyard in Joliet, who knew..
I watched almost the whole series of these. Who do you think was the best of these guys to never win one? For me it was either Pressley or Blaney.
They are definitely towards the top of the list, a compelling argument could be made for a few of them. Skinner for sure had a lot of close calls and won multiple exhibition races, and Trickle would’ve for sure been a major threat especially at short tracks had he been in Cup earlier in his career.
Going by career top five, top ten, pole and lead lap percentages, John Sears is statistically the best non-winner all-time. For modern era drivers though, Joe Ruttman did the best in those categories.
@@seannolan9857 Ruttman definetly should've snagged one at Richmond.
I have one of his cars
Todd Bodine was not having a good day that day. Im sure he is in your list to do
For sure, the day had good potential too started on the pole and still brought it home 14th, and Spencer got a top 5 in the same equipment. He will definitely have an episode.
Todd's day epitomizes why he never won a Winston Cup race. He could be fast, but crashed or spun way too often. A dart with no feathers.
