Thanks for the info on how to test it. Mine had 3 wires, but I found a combination that gave me resistance on the new sensor. The same prongs on the one in my truck gave me no resistance. This test was important for me because the A-hole engineer at GM put this sensor on top of the HVAC fan box, so I had to completely remove the entire dashboard to even get to the sensor. I am relocating the new sensor to the bottom of the dash so if it fails again, I can replace it and not have to take anything apart.

Thank you for this! I had replaced the thermistor on a 2017 Tucson and saved the $1200 repair bill. Later I had the same issues on a 2017 Genesis but could not find the thermistor. Your video was the key to locating it.
Super bonus points to you for: showing how to test the resistance of the sensor. The Genesis tested good so I most likely need a new compressor. I still had the thermistor from the Tucson and it tested bad. So I confirmed I made the right choice before and also that it wasn't the same (cheap to fix) problem again.

You can also get a resistor and bypass the sensor. These resistors cost like $3 to $5 at hardware or electronic stores. They also usually dont require you to disassemble the dash as you just need access to the plug wiring harness and do not need to remove the sensor.

I have the same type of honda here in the vid, what is a good range the thermistor should read at? I show 11.2k Ω at room temp 75 degrees. Can’t find any documentation on the sensor range for the thermistor

My 06’ Tucson ac turns on/off and when I set it to heat it does it as well, I checked the refrigerant levels and everything’s good. Could this sensor cause it to turn on and off

Can I use different evaporator sensor from other car brand..? Example, my car is Mazda 3 and I will use evaporator sensor from Ford, or for other car brand that is similar to Mazda 3, I will just replace the socket to fit on my Mazda 3. Is it possible. I hope you read my comment. Thank you..😊🙏

Hi, Having this problem with my A/C system replace compressor checked all fuses checked relays also checked gap of clutch, but after charging system blows 38 degrees as long as the clutch is engage but when it dis engage cab runs hot about 70 degrees. Now on the old compressor i checked the coil ohms read up to 14.5. a bit off from 5 - 2 ohms. so the new compressor doing the same as the other. I did check the new one for ohms and it came out 4.4 ohms. just as the old one after running, it dis engage around the same time, and want engage.
So I switch car off let sit for about 10 minutes switch ac on clutch engage bring temp down to 38 degrees just to repeat the same cycle over and over. Oh i check the new compressor for ohms while still on car and hot came out 1.2 ohms

I have a Nissan minivan NV 200. I’m having an AC problem everything works except I’ve got an open circuit somewhere between my relay and the clutch. I checked the high-pressure switch I could not find a low pressure switch. However, I believe there is any evaporator temperature switch that they are using in place of a low pressure switch. Could you possibly tell me if this unit has such an application before I start tearing into the dashboard trying to find something that may or may not be there I have looked everywhere to try to get information on this unit and I can’t get it from anybody unless I join some kind of an auto group and pay them about $35 a month, I’m not going to do that because I can buy a chiltens book for about the same price I’m just warning to know a simple yes or no answer to a simple yes or no question. Thank you.

my engine shutters at 3 and half rpm. I've read it's the throttle control relay or a fuse but I have no idea where the fuse or relay is , also read it could be the mass airflow sensor dirty , I'll be sharing your Excellent explained videos to my Facebook thanks

There’s a fuse box in the engine bay and there’s a second fuse box called the modular control panel I think typically left side of steering wheel down, also if ur mass airflow sensor was dirty it would put the check engine light and give a misfire code
