    Love your pedals. I’d love to see you guys throw a video up about how to use the expression pedal on the timeline and the new brig.

    You state that "At any given moment when using the pedal you are on one of the hundred banks, with the 2 presents in each bank available to you". What does that mean, that when you reboot the Timeline (for example) after playing through the various delay types it will always revert to a preset?

    • @strymon
      @strymon  Місяць тому

      Yes. When Timeline is rebooted, it will return to the last preset you were using. If you're on a preset and you change the delay type that preset uses, say the preset is saved set to dTape and you change it to dBucket, unless you save that change, it will revert back to the preset set to dTape when rebooted.

      Crazy I've had this for 7 years, never used a preset, lol. Thanks

    Also you state that you can turn the value encoder when the pedal is displaying the preset name. How do you get the pedal to display a preset. name?

    • @strymon
      @strymon  Місяць тому

      If your pedal is not displaying a preset name, that means it's turned off in your globals menu. Make sure that the NAMES setting is set to ON or SCROLL and not off.

    Dear Victoria,
    I have just bought the Big Sky and I was wondering if you have a video explaining how to work it, idiots guide if possible. I am 72 and not very tech savvy, and learning to play the guitar.
    I look forward to hearing from you.
    Kind regards.
    Greg.

      Hi Greg, we don't have a video that covers using the BigSky originally. We do have one on using BigSky MX, if that is the one you own. If not please reach out to us at support@strymon.net and we'd be happy to walk you through using your BigSky and any questions you may have about it.

    If I have a preset I love but its on Bank 67 and I want to move it to bank 2, how do I do that?

    A tutorial about storing midi presets on the non-display midi pedals like compadre or deco v2 would be helpful.

    How do you take different presets from different banks and save them under its own bank?

  • @stockholm1752
    @stockholm1752 Рік тому

    When saving changes to a preset, can it be saved *as a copy* to a different bank/preset location? Likewise, can you reorder the presets without going to a software editor?

    • @strymon
      @strymon  Рік тому

      For your first question, yes. You can save a copy to a different location. When you press and hold the TYPE encoder and SAVE appears on the display, you can use the VALUE encoder to choose which bank to save your preset to. Once you've dialed in the correct bank, choose A, B, or C (on BigSky) to select the exact bank and preset location. Note that if you haven't already saved the preset, this will simply move this preset to the new location. To make an exact copy of a preset and have it in different locations, save it once in the original location, and then save it again but this time in its new desired location.
      As for reordering without a software editor, there's not really a way to reorder the presets without saving over them without using Nixie.

    Is there a way to delete banks 00-50? And leave 51-100 as factory?

    • @strymon
      @strymon  Рік тому

      You can't really 'delete' banks as something will always be saved to each bank and preset location. If you just want the presets saved in banks 51-100 you can used Nixie to rearrange them and organize them however you want. You can also use the BNK SC global setting to limit the amount of banks the pedal scrolls through, if for example you only ever use the first 50 banks. Feel free to email us at support@strymon.net if you have any further questions!

    Hi! Somtimes i get stuck with numbers and no names - what happened? If i unplug and replug i get back to where i want to be

    • @strymon
      @strymon  4 місяці тому

      It sounds like maybe the NAMES global setting got set to OFF, which will display bank numbers instead of names. If that doesn't fix your issue, please email support@strymon.net and we'd be happy to help.
