Nothing sounds better to my soul than a BigSky Cloud reverb. It’s like being transported to another dimension of safe, warm, comfortable peace. Subbed 👍🏻
Yeh man this is the gift that keeps on giving. Would you be interested in some of my presets for the bigsky? After ten years I’ve amassed some bangers but never shared them before
hey good to see you back! Yeh I just feel like I would never sell the big sky at this point...but I also said that about the timeline before the LVX came out. It was interesting to me how many bigksy users weren't even aware of the Hold functions on there pedal
Shhh, you spoiled the secret ;) Great video, inspiring to see how you use it! My main issues with this one is like you mentioned, in freeze mode anything on top will be dry signal. I wish it could have the same reverb on it, just not sustained. And it would be cool if I could do this without having to strain my foot to keep the switch pressed the whole time, but that is probably just higher order complaining and where a looper would come in.
I agree with the issue about when in freeze mode anything on top being dry signal - but I guess it needs too much processing to do wet signal on top of a sustained reverb. Obviously you can get around this by having a second reverb. As far as keeping the switch pressed down - I really wish they had used only two buttons for presets as with the Timeline and had the third button as a latching hold function - but you can use a MIDI controller to access a latching function if you have one.
Is there anyway to latch the button instead of holding it down? I have my pedals on a table and cant easily use my foot. Also, how do you program hold to a preset instead of menu diving? Thanks!
There is actually. I'm using a midi controller called Ampero Control. Morningstar (a different company) has a nice article about it (which midi messages you can send to the Big Sky). I have it setup that one switch selects between infinite and freeze and the other switch engages it. You can just latch it that way and don't need to keep your foot on the Big Sky.
Excellent video thanks for posting. At 4:10 you mention that there are pedals that replace older notes with new added ones while older notes fade out. Can you divulge which ones offer that function and are they hidden like the big sky? I’m attempting to get similar results using a Game Changer Audio Pedal + but it’s not as easy. .. actually it’s a drag LOL but it does work to a certain extent. Love your channel and really got off on your dive into the LVX which almost convinced me to pick one up. .almost. I can’t hand menu driven tools as I spend to much time fooling around and falling down rabbit holes instead of actually playing. . 😂😂
hey John, firstly thanks for taking the time to message and thanks for sticking with the channel.. Sorry it's taken me so long to come back to you. The last one I personally used that did this was I believe the Chase Bliss Darkworld

So so true. The end of the chain. Stereo. Forever
Awesome, even more pad and drone possibilities - thanks! subbed 😀

Thank ya so much…I just bought one today.
Great tips and demonstration!🍻
Infinite mode = instant ambient pad
yeh defo Josh....its pretty beautiful and so simple
infinite bored
Sounds great. At this juncture I’d be more likely to get the TC sustainer to add to existing reverbs. It is a grrreat tone though.

hey Lisette....yes we wouldn't want you getting repetitive strain disorder on your foot :) we need to share settings some time

2:35 you just pulled my heartstring
just bought a big sky. I also own a DD 200 and DD 3T. Be interesting to see what I can get out of it.
I would wager....amazing things being the answer to that question. Hey, let me know how you get on and if you need any big sky tips let me know
@@nickreesyt will do thanks
Very nice indeed.
thank you king

Not that I’m aware of which isn’t ideal agreed. Whatever settings you’ve got set up via the global controls are kept in the preset if you then save it

I play worship music at my church. Could you maybe do some worship sounds
Sound great what sounds specifically would you like
Wonder if the plugin hold up
I use the hold all the time when im making loops to play over.
Awesome man does the trick doesn’t it
Is Ventris Reverb BETTER than Strymon Bigsky? Thanks!
truthfully I haven't played it so am not in a position to comment
unbelievable...do you actually feel ANYTHING anymore?
No
problem is that it just keeps getting louder would be great if it would keep the same volume
I think you can on the freeze setting
is there any way to do this so its latching rather than having to put your foot on the switch all the time?
Unfortunately not on bigsky
@@nickreesyt thanks for the reply. That's a real shame & a massive oversite really.
@Swinglehurst-Guitars the only saving grace is the pedal is pretty old now
You can use a midi controller!
Providing you are still using your pedalboard using your feet instead of a soft touch stereo strip
Yes that’s correct
does it have delay/echo function too? ty 4 vid
no it does not
@@nickreesyt thanks bro. i've since discovered the avalanche earthquake rev/delay. for the right price. go well
You're not supposed to talk about this!
TOO LATE
Just got to say, I’m only 2 minutes in the video and I’m shocked lol 🤯
Ah hi shocked in what way?
You just made a basic Brian Eno backing track...
around 1300$ in pedals...
yep
Turn up at heaven with this in your hand and St Peter will let you straight in.
I’m banking on it
And don’t forget to sniff your daily portion of oat milk through your nose...
Compulsory
Make some impulse response if you can
I’m in the process of making a preset pack that you would be able to download….
@@nickreesyt wicked! When is it coming out?
@@nickreesyt for vocals also
@user-rp9dq8se8t it will be in the next two months. I want to make it as good as possible first. If you subscribe you hopefully won’t miss it
