Short, concise and to the point.
Great ideas and techniques. Well played and inspiring. Subbed.
I get a 404 😔
Link is dead
Cool delay rundown, Rhett. That intro, however, was truly something. You should absolutely continue combining your music and/or demonstrations with those visuals. You clearly have a knack for it.
Grand Moff Tarkin I second that
Yes! I was thinking the same
+ 1! :-)
Seriously awesome intro. What camera were you using for those close up guitar shots? Depth of field, angle, color, all so beautiful. Really nice work.
Rhett Shull has the very best taste in playing hauntingly ethereal guitar licks. The intro to this video is just one more example.
Rhett, finally someone share how he is using delays. Thanks! I love this personal, practical tips how "pros" using their gear... especially for live shows. I would be happy for the same video but with reverb. Thanks man :)
Thanks man, the reverb one is on the list!
@@RhettShull Think he means do a whole video on Reverb
great stuff Rhett. Thanks so much for the in depth tutorial. I am really impressed with the Timeline and cannot wait to purchase one! Look forward to more videos.
Really enjoy the casual approach you have to your videos. They are very easy to watch and listen to. And you of course have great content. Keep up the good work man!
Ahhhh what a video!! I have recently purchased a timeline and this is the first actually helpful timeline tutorial I have found. Loved your stacking gain pedals video too. Keep up the great work!!! Subscribed :)
Great video! You reinforced some my old believes (many of which took years to understand) - and taught me several new things. Look forward to giving my Timeline a work out. You have a new fan!
It's about time you played something for us! I was starting to think you were just a collector. 🤣 Thanks for the sweet tones! Vince
First video of yours I've seen, not even halfway through it, and I'm subscribing. I appreciate the way you break down what's going on and explain its place in the sound.
Loved this. Thx. I like when you show how you dialed up the effects. I am new to the strymon world and it has so much to offer. You give a little insight into what each know does etc. Thx
That was great Rhett! Some really cool techniques there :) Keep it coming!
Top shelf stuff Rhett 🙌
Great tutorial Rhett! 👍🙂
Luv how subtle delay and reverb can be added to parts that bring in that earthy ambience effect adding depth setting the mood for the track!!
Thanx as always for the insight!!
I think that I watched and LISTENED this intro 20 times today!!!!! It's really AMAZING
Excellent video. Knew most of these tricks, but great to show exactly WHERE these particular applications are best sewn into the sound.
I have waited for a video like this. That intro alone! Thanks!
That intro was killer!
I must say, the intro songs you put together for these videos, are absolutely amazing. I have no doubt you could easily and quickly create generic, by the numbers jams which would sound just fine. That you don't do this, choosing to put some creative effort out instead, makes these compositions that much cooler. They're interesting, unique and definitely sound amazing.... Style for days! Much appreciated!
Blessings to you man!
Great post ... some really helpful tips, and some really crazy entertaining sounds at the end. Thank you.
The best intro on you tube ever... I though it was an advertising in the beggining.... WoW!!! Great Job Rhett! Congratulations!
Thanks again for the video. Great ressource I'm coming back to from time to time.
That was amazing! Great delay tips and love the intro song Rhett!😎👍🏼
Sick intro! Love the stuff
Man, this is gold right here. Thanks!
Man, that intro was top notch!!! Thank you so much for this video!
That 1st off the hook effect with adjusting the delay with knobs great! Brought back some memories of my early playing days using my pedals to the extreme. Achieving a Thermin effect of sorts. You were getting close to intro to Welcome To The Machine
Love the use of reverse delay, nice tip
Thanks Rhett, great stuff, I'll be trying some of these for sure!
Man, your tips are amazing!
I've surfed arround your almost ALL vídeos in your Channel and learn a Lot! Thanks!!!Greetings from Brazil!
Great video! Keep up the good work Rhett!
that reverse delay tricks is awesome!
Discovered your channel yesterday and subscribed. You're at 7.5 K subscribers right now. I'm gonna sit back and watch you hit a million soon...
Thanks for some great tips. Clear, to the point, well explained.
An epic and inspiring intro...cool as usual Rhett's stuff
Hey Rhett! It would cool if you did a tutorial video on how to record a backing track from A to Z. Great stuff as always!
What a perfect tutorial.. Great goin Rhett
So much GREAT information in this video. Thank you Rhett
Thank you, Rhett. Very nice lesson. Am jacking up my delay & rev right now to try some of this.
Wow. I watched this before I got the Strymon and it was overwhelming. Now that I've had it for about a month now this is extremely useful. Thanks.
Rhett you're amazing man! Have seen many channels on YT but you really stand out among others!! Here you have a new subscriber🤘😎
Thanks Aaron!
Absolutely awesome intro footage !
Thats was epic man!! Thanks for the tips and tricks.🙌
Absolutely fantastic!!!! Love it! thanks!
I norally don't watch or follows "guitar vlogs" or what you call it, but you have so much good stuff I can't help but susbcribe and dive into your videos. You are amazing!
Great tutorial, I really learned something! Well done.
OMG. I love this so much, Rhett. Late to the party - but this was posted a day before my 49th bday. Hello from Mississippi and Happy New Year!
BRO THANK YOU!!! wow I just bought one and have been so stumped with the many features but this video helped me a bunch.
Tanks man. Your videos always inspire.
Love these vids that you do! Although I've been playing acoustic since the 70's, I'm new to electric starting a couple of years ago. Learning the basics and the nuances of pedals can be overwhelming. Your clarity and straightforward approach is refreshing. (I found you from the recent video you did with Tim Pierce. I'm glad I did!)
Dude what a mad intro to this vid!! Nice
Cool stuff Rhett!! Now I'm convinced I don't need a chorus pedal on a pedalboard with a delay!!The reverse delay thingy is also SICK!!!!Keep it up bro!!!
Glad I found this. Although you can use "any delay", I just acquired a Timeline and wondered if I should keep it. Seemed overwhelming. Now, I'm determined to dig in and create the presets that first, give me these "tricks" (which are mostly sounds we all know and love) then create some of my own. Beats the hell out of getting beat up on forums! Thanks.
Gave me a great idea for a song I’m tracking in the studio. Love it bro.
Keep it up bruh! That was insane!!!
Just like to let you know that I think that these reviews are very VERY well put together. Good stuff.
Best video yet! Really helpful. Thanks Rhett
Youre welcome Jordon!
Thanks Rhett for the video, some great ideas for the woodshed and the Timeline. Let me add to some of the others a Big Sky video would be greatly appreciated. Nice work!
Holy Dang! That intro was incredibly artsy!

Thanks Man! You are awesome!!
Awesome video man. Also a very good video for the Strymon Timeline.
Like the reverse delay idea! 💡

Dude this is amazing! I have the strymon Timeline and Mobius but no one has really gone into depth of what you can do and why like you have. If you could do more videos on pedals like this and effect combinations ill subscribe!
