We are getting ready to leave in a couple of days and the Grand Opening is on my list of things to do!!!! Great day on the water and great catch and cook too. Always glad to see Melanie post up a new recipe, looking forward to that too!
Kinda off topic from this video. But I think it would be a really good video if you would go over your whole gear setups for beach fishing and capturing video. This was a great video also.
New subscriber, 78 y.o. Atlanta grandma. Enjoyed the boat trip and your delightful, humongous catches and i.d.'ing them for us. My favorite fish, though, is croaker. It has taken a whole year for the DeKalb Farmer's market here to catch any croaker. Now, the manager said they have "a thousand in the back". Is there always a season rule of when certain fish can be caught or not, like the big red ones you threw back? Another question: why'd you not cook that beautiful roe? Mama used to cook those for us on Sundays back in the 1950s and 1960s. 'Love fried roe. Thank you for the adventure today. Bless you and your family. Take care, y'all. See y'all again.
Great video Brant. Unlike Brad's trip in the storm, you guys scored big time and had a perfect blue water day. An earlier comment suggested letting Melanie cook, that's an awesome idea. 👌 Let the Bacon Grease Queen share the spotlight. I wish I could make the grand opening of BBO, but I'll have to make a trip in the future. Fish 🐟 on and keep the lines tight! 👌 👍👍
I can’t wait for the beach bum outdoors video. I probably won’t be able to watch it live, but can’t wait! I live in Central Florida. I can’t make it out and again can’t wait to see the video.
Man, what a great video. I’m so glad your wife is involved Melanie the way you’re cooking that fish and I’m so glad you showed us how to fillet the triggerfish. Awesome!
Great video Brant! Love the catching and the cooking was great too. Honestly, why not have Melanie do the cook or at least have her taste yours on camera. I know the AH’s will say it’s tainted but I’ve watched so many of her cooks and she can cook, so her opinion matters. When you cook, please don’t rush it. A lot of viewers are looking for that part. I really appreciate you sharing a part of your life. The deck will rock.
HUGE thumbs up on the video!! The house is coming along BEAUTIFULLY!!! I am starting a channel but I LOVE tartar sauce and I'm going to make this recipe because it sounds super delicious! When I do my first cook I'll will make sure to let everyone know who it came from. Super video as always sir
I see you flexing. I wish I could throw some fish like that in a wheel barrow and clean up. What a great day. Living vicariously through your channel, from NM
another great video. Those were some large snapper. Thank you for showing me how to clean and cook the kings. By the way that back deck is awesome. enjoy.
Brant, the tip you gave on removing the skin from the Triggerfish was cool as heck!! And not a bit of meat wasted. One of the very best-tasting fish out there!
Thank you for bringing back so memories of fishing in fla. We moved to Michigan in 88 and one of the things I miss most is salt water fishing in fla. You remind me of how hard I use to fish .my favorite was snook fishing but loved it all . Thanks again and keep the video coming.
You are amazing man, I’m going to Pensacola FL in June and I want to stop by beach bum outdoors. Hopefully I see one of you guys at the store or maybe even on the beach. Much love.
Really enjoyed all the way from catching bait, chumming, the grab bag of fish and the super kingfish filleting trick - kingfish balls. Finally my mouth was watering especially after you made the tarter sauce - yum. Could almost taste it. Well done! Skip, in Australia
cold smoked roe is one of the tastiest delicacies. salt and sugar then sun cure for a few hours under a net to keep the flies off then cold smoke with fruit tree wood. Its epic.
Careful about burning that wood Brandt. Burning pressure treated bad can be very harmful if you breathe any of the smoke at all and is not recommended. Google can tell you more, but just an fyi. Loved the video!
So excited for you guys you have brought a dream to reality I won’t be able to make the official grand opening but planning on come over the next weekend have to bring some 💰 with me so I can make some purchases 😁
Y’all should try out some of the nomad lures like the squid treks! I’ve seen plenty of people testing them in Australian waters where the companies based but I’ve seen maybe one video in the us. And I’d definitely like to see how well their stuff works in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic around florida! What are the odds of y’all doing a review of their lures, lines, and rods?
Great video, you made that kingfish look delicious. I will definitely be using that tartar sauce recipe! All the best with the Grand Opening festivities.
Why were you using a treble hook when fishing the live cigar minnow? Do you use treble hooks a lot? Seems like your chance of keeping the fish pinned is better with a treble hook but prevents your bait from looking the most lively?
If you’re catching those grouper and red snappers in intercoastal waters is it considered out of season in Florida because you are bringing them back on shore into Florida? Or is it still considered Florida where you are fishing offshore
Have you ever lost a pole overboard in the ocean and caught the pole & the fish? I have caught a few Carp in freshwater after the poles went in the water
Moving to Milton in a couple of months. Starting a new way of life. I know you put out a video about Kings and Mercury. Do you just limit your consumption now?
I'm a new subscriber and I am loving you videos!!! I live in the Adirondack mountains in Northern NY so all my fishing is fresh water fish like trout, walleyes, northern pike, bass, etc.!!! I can't imagine what it would be like to hook on to some of those fish that you catch!!! Even though I'm in my 70's, I still like to drown a worm or two once in a while!!! One question however. Maybe I missed it but you said you were going to post a link for Melanie's UA-cam channel but I didn't see it!!! If you or anyone that has the information can send it to me I would appreciate it!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!
Mackerel balls amazing what do you do with all the bones guts and heads do you keep for bait use for fish stock or crab pots or sell bags at beach bum outdoors.
Brant this may sound like a daft question. Why are you not allowed to catch them and keep them if there is so many of them. Are they over fished? ( red snapper) No fish here in the uk has a season just strict size limits. regards Mick

Love watching those Rods bend and listen to the drag! Catch and Cook always one of my favorite ! Will be there next week for the opening !

Never saw a king cleaned like that - terrific new idea for me!

Brent, I always enjoy your videos
Brant while we love the inshore, beach and pier fishing the offshore trips are always fun because you never know what you will catch.
Great video once again Brant! When I saw you added Capers to your tartar sauce I knew the Bacon Grease Goddess taught you that!😅
Coming down next week from PA, man! Can't wait to check out the new store. Tight lines dude!
You are training him well Melanie!
You guys have stepped out, stepped up and made it happen. Congrats on the grand opening.

Brant you should come to Panama and do some surf or pier fishing with yours truly… the pompano are going crazy
As always love the video
Really enjoyed all the way from catching bait, chumming, the grab bag of fish and the super kingfish filleting trick - kingfish balls. Finally my mouth was watering especially after you made the tarter sauce - yum. Could almost taste it. Well done! Skip, in Australia
Watching from Phoenix. Someday I’ll get over there. Get em Brant!👍
I've never seen king mackerel steaks prepared that way. I can't wait to try it. Thanks Brandt!
As always great footage 👍
cold smoked roe is one of the tastiest delicacies. salt and sugar then sun cure for a few hours under a net to keep the flies off then cold smoke with fruit tree wood. Its epic.
You have me starvin for fried fish now. Loved the video. The snapper and Kings were amazing. Best of luck with the new shop.

I need your tarter sauce recipe!😊
Neat trick and all looks great!
Great job, Brant! Thanks!
Great video. Don’t burn that treated wood. And if you do, stay away from the smoke.
Y’all should try out some of the nomad lures like the squid treks! I’ve seen plenty of people testing them in Australian waters where the companies based but I’ve seen maybe one video in the us. As always great work!!!
Hi love your videos one of the best channels
Thanks for telling us something about the boat.
Great video, you made that kingfish look delicious. I will definitely be using that tartar sauce recipe! All the best with the Grand Opening festivities.
This dude is living the life I wish to live someday
I caught a bike yesterday, and it was so delicious 🤤 I seasoned it with sal and pepper. Although it was hard it was tasty!!!
A cultural shock for me because we eat the roe here, they are fantastic
Those snappers were incredible and amazing eating. Too bad had to throw back.
Great show !
Love the outshore vids
Wonderful video! Wish I could have been there to share that delicious food too! LOL ☺
👍👍👍👍👍👍
NICE GROUPER!!!
Nice! Made my day and I wasn’t fishing!
hello mel! tartar sause 5star an da fish ALL GOOD..staysafe..
Why were you using a treble hook when fishing the live cigar minnow? Do you use treble hooks a lot? Seems like your chance of keeping the fish pinned is better with a treble hook but prevents your bait from looking the most lively?
Because I was targeting kingfish. It’s the best method. I don’t use trebles for other species
@@AnglerUpTv Thanks for the info!
👍
Good stuff man!
That looks delicious
If you’re catching those grouper and red snappers in intercoastal waters is it considered out of season in Florida because you are bringing them back on shore into Florida? Or is it still considered Florida where you are fishing offshore
Out of season in state and federal waters.
Hard to beat king steaks baked in salt and lemon pepper and butter. They are few and far between up here in the mountains of Georgia though.
Can you use a vent on the east coast also? I heard they had to use the release mechanism instead of a vent tool. Nice fish though.
Good show thanks
Jack ‘em up!
Grind up cornflakes for the batter instead of bread crumbs
Cleaning that king bet they fried up great
Soak them king balls in mustard and bread and fry them Yum Yum Yum!
That king would have also been good in some batter.
Brant can you make a quick vid of what lure you used to catch bait fish?
Yes
Have you ever lost a pole overboard in the ocean and caught the pole & the fish? I have caught a few Carp in freshwater after the poles went in the water
Not yet!
Moving to Milton in a couple of months. Starting a new way of life. I know you put out a video about Kings and Mercury. Do you just limit your consumption now?

The short answer is it’s political.
That’s a big CI-gar minnow 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
What a trip thanks for show, who’s minding the store , did you get any eggs?
