Thanks goodness our grandparents were a mere twenty-minute drive away! Of course, that was Minnesota in the 70s and 80s when it was bitterly cold in December, and the old station wagon took over ten minutes to warm up...
Oh, and there were four of us. Just kids, not counting parents. Four of us jammed in the backseat.
